  3. When i first came here 6 years ago (K-1 visa) it was really overwhelming and intimidating on whats going on the airport. I flew from manila to L.A. thru Philippine airline but my destination is maryland.. Anyways L.A is my POE which is a huge airport and they have a lot of IO and it only take me 20 mins from the end of the line to the IO, and im done. going to my next flight which is a 4 hours waiting.. But every POE is different so u better give her plenty of time for her next flight.Meeting her up in the airport of her POE is a good idea...

  4. Just check my case status online and this is what i see:

    Oath Ceremony

On January 24, 2012, we placed your application in the oath scheduling que. We will send a notice when the ceremony is scheduled. If you move prior to the scheduled ceremony, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Naturalization Applicants: you will receive your certificate at your oath ceremony. You can expect to be scheduled for an oath ceremony within 45 days of receiving your recommended approval. Many offices schedule approved applicants for the oath ceremony on the same day as the day of the interview. Please check the local office profile page on our website to determine if the office where you will be interviewed schedules same day oath ceremonies.

Thanks God it means i will be on the list of people for sure will getting a ceremony soon. If not this Feb. 3 maybe next to that..

And DOGWOOD_POET check your status maybe they also update ur wife status..

Thanks for the info..i just found out that there having one on Feb. 3 at louisville. Im hoping for an oath letter from the mail this week maybe i can be on that oath..i will just cross my finger.

About the interview first dont feel nervous. The lady officer was so nice to me.. i already forgot what are the questions she asked me. but there all pretty easy. Just study the 100 questioner and dont pressure ur self to much. I am positive u will answer all the question.

  7. Kathlene still hasn't gotten her oath letter, should we keep on waiting or should we contact them?

I think we should just wait a little while longer, I just worry what would happen if for some reason we did not receive her letter & missed the ceremony . . .

  8. Still waiting for my oath taking and its already 2 months since my interview..i passed my interview but still never heard from uscis. I will be going to my birth country for vacation this coming april and im afraid i will still have no oath taking before that,.my greencard still in my maiden name.my passport and other important id's are in my married name..My question is:

    1. is there going to be a problems to enter back in the US with greencard on maiden name and passport and plane ticket on married name.Im afraid they would not allow me.

2.Is there anyone there from KY knows the scheduled of incoming oath ceremony or know who to contact for this matter?

i have zero idea.so i need your answer to this..thank

  9. Me and my ex file joint I-751 but after a couple of months or relationship fell apart and we end up divorce..so i have to cancel the first file and refile for I-751 waiver..I hire a lawyer to advise me and help me get through with this, because my case is complicated. But hiring a lawyer is worth every penny bcoz i was one of successful I-751 waiver for Removing condition. My advice is if you have a complicated case you really need to hire a lawyer. But if yoy think yours will be ok just trust your guts..Just submit all the evidence and info that your marriage from your ex are in good faith.and be your self on the interview.just answer what they only ask dont add more...Good luck..if u have question just ask me,im more than happy to asnwer it?

  10. Your situation is not far from me and a friend of mine.actually yours is closer to my friend..My 1st marriage his my petitioner thru K1 to we just broke up after i filed I-751.His not cheating but im in abusive relationship he physically and mentally abuse me since we got married.i stay with him i thought he will change but he didnt..i excape from him and his threating me and end up saying his going to kill me so i call a police and report..to make my story short he divorce without knowing i filed my own petition for i751 got approved..now i was pass the citizenship just waiting for oath..by the way my friend her husband cheat to thru internet she stay with him tolerating what his doing maybe he will change gather a lot of evidence that his cheating after a couple of years w/him.he still didnt change, she file divorce on him and use all the evidence she got against him as ground for divorce and for i751 petition for herself.Got her LPR.If i where you just stay as long his not laying his hands on you and your kid. Actually, its really a burden to u and ur kid to go home because u will feel ashame to face your relative and friends that your marriage didnt work. my advice is gather all the evidence u can get about his cheating thing..and if he lay his hand on u call a cops and report..he cant touch u.

  11. I guess theres a lot of us here that on the same boat... Waiting time.. "sucks" ( i apologized for my language) but its true. I called uscis talk to costumer service he said i still have to wait bcoz even thought they give me an approval paper its not gurantee bcoz they will still run thru ur paper works again, make sure they didnt missed anything. And have to wait 90 days, and after that time period i didnt hear anything i should make info pass to talk to the local office... God lordy... This waiting is killllling me... Hoping for everyone here that we can be scheduled nxt month.. That will be a nice new years gift...
