  1. Thank you! As for the rest of the journey, I think I should care less. What will be will be. Investing too much energy and emotion in something that is not in our own control only makes us miserable. I don't know if the congressional assistance really helped my case or the kettle just boiled when the time came. Yet, in hindsight, I think that part of the journey would have been a lot easier if I hadn't been concerned that much.

Yet, I'm very grateful to my congressman's and senators' aides, who went out of their way to help me. I'm also grateful to my Visajourney fellows, who've shared with me their experience and encouraged (or sometimes criticized) me during my seemingly endless journey, I mean the adjustment of status journey.

    Thank you all!

    How's your case, Labi?

Its really a journey indeed. my RFE is currently in response review since a week now, hoping to know something soon.

  2. Hi Labi, you mentioned they sent you a copy of your medical with your RFE. are u referring to ur medical records or just an explanation about your rfe? My friend got only the RFE notice (blue paper) and 2 pages of explanation about i-693 but doesnt state any specific medical issue. Only says, that during your medical overseas shows that you have class b condition and need follow up examination.. ( Hope they state what exactly it is so that she could addressed it with the civil surgeon correctly, sigh) :)

A copy of the medical where the doctor states Class b condition and ticked follow up after one month upon arrival was attached to my RFE. i did'nt know this until i got the RFE. It did'nt says the specific condition. my findings with the civil surgeon suggest that it may have been because of the 10 point above normal BP readings that led the doctor indicate this which i think its what happen in your friend case as far as the lump in the breast is concern.

  3. Hi all. My friend is on AOS pending and got RFE for I-693 and states that she has a class b condition and need to have a follow up examination within 30 days upon arrival in US. Problem is, she doesnt have any idea what is her class B condition. She said, during her medical examination overseas, the doctor only told her that she has a breast lump and havent mentioned about class b condition. She is cluecless. They called USCIS about her RFE but customer service cant pull out her information. Should they do an info pass? Can an IO could tell her specifically whats her class B condition? They are seeing a civil surgeon now and have syphillis and tb test again. please do advice. thank you

i did received the same RFE about two weeks ago on class b condition. I was worried too cos the panel physician never told me i had a class b condition or any medical condition until i found it on the copy of my medical the CSC attached to my RFE. i did a new medical and the civil surgeon could not found any class b condition. But in your case the breast lump might be the reason why the panel physician indicate a class b but its not something to worry about. All they require from you is a new medical examination to clear the class b condition indicated on your previous medical exam. good luck

  4. Oh, my heart raced when I read the first part of your post. I thought your case was upgraded to "card production". Disappointment, huh? But at least, you know that they have looked at it.

I hope approval message will come any time soon.

infact i see it as a good news....wishing myself goodluck and everyone waiting

infact i see it as a good news....wishing myself goodluck and everyone waiting

online status now updated to request for evidence.

  5. Ha ha... My heart throbbed every time I checked my case status online, expecting to see something different. Today I did see something different, other than "Initial Review". Unfortunately, it was not "Decision" or "Card Production", it was "Case information incomplete"!

I just got a text that my case updated. i rush to check it online but still incomplete..check my online account case updated 11/29/2012. Checked my email then it says request for evidence.....

  6. :wow:

I disagree. People like Harpa Timsah and ourselves can certainly empathize with other people's feelings about the immigration journey, because we have likely walked a very similar path on our own immigration journey. We know that it is hard to wait, we also waited. We walked the walk, and are able to talk the talk.

To the OP: Hang in there, it will happen.

    YMMV.

Good luck on your visa journey.

You are wrong. you dont know how someone feel except you have been in there shoe if not harpa Timsah would not have responded the way he did.

  7. I am not attacking you. But to expect a different result from all the other people in the same process as you will only lead to disappointment and stress. You can't speed up the processing of your case just because you want to. There are so many other people that have waited longer than you. They get approved before you.

I know it's really hard to wait, but you will make it through.

Those who are in your shoe are the only one who can feel your pain. People like Hapartinsha or what is it cannnot feel it bcos he/she already got approved. you do not have to let what peolple like that say bother you. do what you have to do bcos we have seen it here how poeple get help to get there case approve in time.

New York state is different when it comes to getting driver licence without green card. infact i got my learners permit with just my passport, marriage certificate and SSC. after i got the EAD i took it back for the expire date to be updated on the permitt which they did. i was able to get a driver licence too. Most of this people working at the DMV dont much and would not want to grant any I.D except you show them green card if you are not a U.S citizen. It all about point here in New York, there are documents you have to present to claim these point and you wont have problem once you are able to to attain those point. i guess you must have 6 point here in new york.

  9. hi everyone,

On thursday i have my biometrics appointment at Latham, Albany ny. I am travelling from about 3 hours away and staying at a hotel the night before as the appointment is at 8am the next morning

    just a couple questions..

I know there are no cell phones allowed at the USCIS building..do they have a lockbox facility there to store your phone while you have your biometrics done? i am travelling on my own and didnt want to go without my cellphone..

also what exactly do they do for biometrics and how long should i expect to be there for..and does anyone have any experience how quickly after that i may get my i-131 travel documents and i-765 work documents?

only waited about 3 weeks to get my biometrics appointment after filing i-485 and i thought that was quite quick..

i am desparate to travel back to england to visit family which is why i am so keen to get my travel docs..

anyway hope everyones visa journey is going well

    thanks for your help

    xxx

Phone is not always allow...i was lucky to be advised to switch it off when i was there with my wife. You might not be lucky as i was as you may not encounter the same security officers that attended to us. They dont have a place for you to put your phone. i got my EAD about 28days after biometric. its just a simple process, you are done within 5 mins. Wish you Goodluck
