  1. I totally understand...even thought we can "move" having the EAD, it is hard to relax knowing we have a pending case with USCIS< specially when we want to study and do other things. Dont give up, I was so dicouraged, specially for not being able to apply for school in the fall, but now I have hope and I still have time, thank God! Soon you will hear something. Call USCIS, and ask to talk to TIER 2.

I sent my papers on September, it took 7 months and 4 days, this waiting is stupid.

  2. Girl, I know what you mean! I got my NOA1 for AOS in Oct 14 and my case was transferred in Dec, 2011. This waiting is killing me...I have stuff to do to, like going to back to school, and I can only do that with the GC (I nwill pay less $$ being a resident)> Anyway, I opened a SR but only when they told me the system allowed them to.

Call them and ask for help. Sometimes they are not helpfull, but luckly you will get to talk to someone nice...

    Good luck, and let's pray!!

  3. Well, today was my last waiting day before being able to open a service request. Talked to USCIS office last weekend, and she told me until today and call them back and open a SR. Tomorrow I will be calling them...hopefully something will happen, this is getting ridiculous. And from what I have been hearing is that not even service request are helping anything...

How much longer do we have to wait??? Im complety annoyed at USCIS....

  4. My case was tarnsferred on Dec-27-2011, and I havent heard anything since then. THis waiting is taking too long, stupid!

I just dont understand why it's taking that long. I called USCIS last week, and for the first time I was able to talk to someone TIER 2. They told me it shows on their system that my case is "supposed" to have a decision on the next 8 days. Well, the 8th day is next thursday, so if I dont hear anything about it untild thursday this next week, I will calling them on friday. And hopefully they will open a service request, and hopefully they will answer my service request. I remember it took forever for my EAD too, and they opened a service request, and told me to wait 15 days for a decision, those 15 days passed and I didnt hear anything. I called them back, and the response for my EAD service request was: Wait 60 days, and If you dont hear anything on the next 60 days, call us back. Isn't it so stupid???

I ended up getting the approval a few weeks later, but still....this is dumb!!

Hopefully we will hear something about our GC soon! This waiting has gone too far...

  5. Thank y'all who posted a comment to my post.

I just called USCIS, and of course...they were trying to tell me DALLAS processing time!!! I said that the last notice I received was that my case was in California, not in Texas. Man, it sounds like they dont know what they are saying!

Anyway, I was asking questions, questions about my case, and I think the girl got tired of me or didnt know how to answer my questions, and transferred me to TIER 2- HALLELUJAH! I talked to a very nice officer, and she checked on the computer and told me what I already know, that was my case was in California. I told her, that the other person who I talked was trying to tell me the processing times of Dallas office, and you know what? She said THEY WERE GIVING ME the wrong information!!! She said it WAS A MISTAKE! I knew it!!!!!!

Anyway, she was very nice and said she would check MY CASE on her system specifically! She checked and said...ohhh, if you have waited a few more days, I would be able to open a service request. She said, it was showing there on the system, that my case is supposed to have a decision on the next 8 days! And she said, we just count working days, so call us back friday of the next week in case you havent received anything by then.

Hopefully I will hear something on the next few days, and IF I dont...I will be calling them friday, next week!

Guys that are on the same situation, do the same. Call them and ask, ask and ask.

I heard someone saying that I should not worry since I have the EAD. Yes, I have my EAD and I have a job already. BUT, I want to go back to school, and if the GC I can pay the same fee as a US citizen....so, I really need my GC.

    Thank you.

  6. Hello,

I am so frustrated that it's been 6 months and a half and I havent heard anything about my GC. MY case status on USCIS website still shows: INITIAL REVIEW!

I called USCIS several times, and they ask for my local office, which is Dallas. They say they are processing cases from Sep 22nd, but I see this info their website, and it's been there for months!!! That info is not updated, it is impossible for them to work on Sep 22nd fillers, for that long....for months???

And they ask me to call back, when that date changes (Sep 22nd 2011) and when it does and if I dont hear anything about my GC, then I should call back.

???That makes no sense to me.

I dont understand why they ask about my local office, since my case was transferred to California...maybe, even though it was transferred the case still "belongs" to the local office?

This waiting is killing me. And what it frustrates me more, is that people that sent their papers after than I did, had already received their card. I wonder how USCIS works...I would think they work in order cases arrival, but apparently not. They just choose the cases randomly, that's what it looks...

Getting close to 7 months of waiting...frustrating!

  7. I had the same problem as you, pretty much.

I sent 2 checks one for I-485 and one for EAD. They sent me that EAD check with a rejection notice, together with the NOA1 for both of them. That rejection letter is very confusing. It says that there is no further action to take, then at the last paragraph it says to send again all the package...??? Makes no sense. You know what I did? Called them, and they sounded so confusing! They didnt know what was wrong...I wanted to make sure if I had to send everything all over again, but I ended up not doing anything, and then I got the letter for biometrics....So, I was asupposed to "take no further action".....

They should redo that rejection letter, it is supposed to clear english...so confusing and frustrating..

  8. I sent my papers on Sept 2011, and my NOA1 is dated as Oct 14, 2011. MY case was transferred to Cali last December, and my EAD approved last January. My local office is Dallas, TX and I have called USCIS several times to ask them about my case. The online info about my case only shows:

    Initial Review

The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office...

I tell them I need help because it is taking forever, and tell them that my case was received on Sep 30th by them, they seem to dont know what to. I guess the only info they see, it's the info above, that my case was transferred, unless they transfer me to Tier 2. Anyway, they ask me where my local office is (Dallas) and then check online their processing times, and say they are processing case received on Spe 22nd 2011. This info about (them processing cases from Sep 22nd 2011) it's been there for months, that website it's not updated! Why do they keep saying that they are processing cases from that date? UNless they are so slow...

And I dont understand why they ask me about my local office, since my case was transferrend to California. Does it still mean that my case belongs to Dallas (since I live in Texas), even though it was tranferred to California?

ERGH! I am tired of waiting! It's has been more than 6 months now, and nothing...no answer, no touch, nothing. I really hope I DO not receive a RFE after that long. I've seen that happened before, this is frustating!

Sorry for complaining guys....this waiting is killing me!
