  1. We are considering a trip to a restaraunt in El Paso from Juarez, my fiancee has a B1/B2 VISA. Does anyone have any experiences in crossing while their K1 application was being reviewed? Will it affect the process in any way?

I assume all we have to do is show evidence of returning to Mexico, which we can do with her plane tickets.

my wife lived in mexicali during the process and she crossed the border many, many times during the process on her b1/b2 visa.

does your wife have a lazer visa ?

  2. HOLA, SENIOR

    of course they change.

my mexican border wife, who i shared a home with in the usa and mexico has changed totaly since she received her green card and i now call her the "gringa".

she was content with much less and was fiercly proud to be mexican.

she insists on learning english and finding a job.

we have lived togather for a long, long, long time before getting married and she never once wanted to speak english or work.

she loved mexico, but now finds the border cities dirty, smogy and the streets full of trash. she hates driving in mexico and loves driving in the usa.(total reverse of pervious thoughts)

she insists that the Lakers are the best basketball team in the USA and that president fox could kick bush's ### on any day of the week.(he is much bigger)

and of couse--she wants her own credit cards.----(she has always had my american express to use)

she is a great gal and i love her much---

NOW---she states"since we have married, you have turned into mexican man" you want to dance cumbias and watch soccor all the time.

you can not win------so dont worry.

dance a little, drink a little, work a lot, always be honest and respect her family.

this is my thoughts for you.

  3. WOW-this subject is not that complicated.

all immigrants are required to meet the u.s health standards(vacinations). this is not a standard issued by the dept of state or dept of homeland security.

the state department will not deny a k-1 who applies with only a medical examination, but they also note the lack of suppliment on paperwork given to fiance.

the officer taking the paper work at the poe does not care about the medical examination or if it includes a suppliment.

when making an appliciation for aos--you should know know your status.

we received a request for medical examintion info and a suppliment.

i called the info line and got transfered to a officer---i explained my wife was a k-1 and that we were allowed to provide the suppliment at our interview.

he agreeded and i wrote a letter to chicago-- i reminded them, that we were a k-1 and had to have a medical exam before we crossed the border. I, also stated that the rules and regulations allowed the suppliment to be presented at the aos interview.

the next letter i got was a letter for a aos interview.

vacination suppliments and exams are required for all immigrants--(with very few exceptions)

we did not have the suppliment done in mexico--we had it done a month before a aos interview.

we knew about the rule the whole time and wanted to delay the payment of fees.

the proplem is that when chicago took over the processing of the aos appliciations, the poe were sending the medical information to texas.(k-1 crossing on the south and west borders)

so, the medical info was having a hard time finding its way to chicago and after it got there, it was having a harder time finding its way to a file.

  4. at el paso--they deal with fiance visa everday.

my fiancee and did all our stuff in jauraz and got the hell out of there, at the border. the officer took the paper work and walked my novia to the main office.

he directed me to some parking on the usa side of the border, p parked and i walked back to wait with beatriz.

the took her lazer visa/ her b1b2 visa out of her passport and stamped her new k1 visa that she had got at the embassy.(we had to give sealed envelope to agent)

she had to pay for a new 1-94 entry record.

pay for i-94? never heard of it.....why?

if you live by the border---you always pay for the i-94

you get one every 6 months if you have a vistor/business vias(b1b2)

i had to pay for my fiance and her son--6 dollars each in el paso for the new 1-94 for thier passports.

  6. your question are confusing but lets see if i can help.

i live in california and my girlfreind is from mexicali. i filed the paperwork for her and we went to jaurez for her interviews.

the medical exam and interview at the embassy is on a first come first serve for k-1's. you show up with your paper work and get in line.

you need one day for the medical and another for the interview.

we spend the weekend in jaurez and she did the medical early in the morning on monday and the next day she got in line at the embassy.

the line at the embassy is very very long.

the interview is very short and once you get the building you may be setting for hours.

it took my fiance and her son about 5 hours for the interview.

i was her sponser and future husband---so i filed the support papers. i dont know what the form numbers were.

  7. Hi everybody!

I was wondering if there are others that are in my boat. I sent my AP application away last December and got my NOA 1 (receipt date of Dec 22) soon after..Since then, I have had a few touches online, but no word...I called in once the processing date online was 30 days past my receipt date, and supposedly an inquiry was started. I was told that I would receive mail from them specifying what the hold up was, but that has been almost 3 weeks and I am still waiting for that....Is this happening to anybody else???? I am starting to lose hope over here...Is there anything else that can be done??

I have wedding plans this June back home in Germany and invitations etc have already been sent out..I already have nightmares that my wedding is going to happen without me!!!!!

my wife never got her ap// we received her aos interview and stamp in passport in march, filed ap on nov 29.

    you may never get one.

  8. congrats.

i am aprove too today but i didnt received any stamp.

he said i will receive my green card within 3 to 10 days.

SHE STAMPED THE LAST PAGE OF MY WIFE'S PASSPORT , the stamp stated she could work and that is was a tempary permenant resident, i believe the number was 551 of the stamp

MY WIFE AND HER SON's interview went fast. the interviewer, a woman was nice and did not ask any personal questions. she looked at the file and needed a few documents. we gave her the vac supplement and a few pictures, and a couple of pay stubs.

she stamped the passports with a stamp good for a year and she we would receive the geen card in 7 to 10 days.

the passport stamp had all the right information---mywife is so happy to get to visit mexico. she has been driving me crazy to cross the border for some good food.

    Congrats!

Can you tell me when you received the interview letter?

    Thanks,

    Anna

sure, it came on the 7 of march

  10. Russian Mathematicians Create A Formula Linking Shoe Size To Cronk Size

We’ve all heard the stories that your SHOE SIZE is directly connected to your CRONK SIZE...and , honestly, for some of us with gargantuan feet, we’ve CLUNG to it forever. Of course, it usually gets written off as myth.

NOT SO, say a group of Russian mathematicians. They’ve created a formula that links a man’s shoe size to his ####### length. AND...they say it’s accurate on 90% of men!!!

The formula: Manhood size equals height plus five, all divided by two. Unfortunately, the formula uses the metric system...which, yes, I know, is evil...so you’ll need to know your shoe size to centimeters. Fortunately...I’ve done that for you...and, in the process, figured out your size in the pants. Here you go...

...Shoe size EIGHT means a 5.98-inch cronk.

...Shoe size NINE means a 6.14-inch cronk.

...Shoe size TEN means a 6.3-inch cronk.

...Shoe size ELEVEN means a 6.48-inch cronk.

...Shoe size TWELVE means a 6.65-inch cronk.

...And shoe size THIRTEEN means a 6.8-inch cronk. (Pravda)

my 11 year old son--wears size 11 american shoes.

    what does that mean ?

  11. I'm in the same situation kinda. We applied for AOS/EAD/AP together and haven't received anything about our AP or EAD since biometrics. And as our interview is coming up soon, I'm not gonna put myself to the trouble of an Infopass appointment, even though it's only 5 miles away. You live and learn I guess :)

i just hate wasting the money.

  12. my wife and son have their aos interview on the 15/ and the local office is saying our ap appliciation is in the file.

if my wife aos is not granted they will approve the ap/ if the aos is approved they will take her ead and deny her ap.

happy this is getting close to the end, but would of liked to see the ap approved months ago or not wasted the money

  13. local office stated to me : the proceedures and forms aos with advance parole and ead are becoming useless.

since they have automated the process and we send the information to the regional center(chicago) the processing time is being decreased.

a person should have the bio metrics and aos interview in about 90 days.

if aos status is granted, the advance parole and ead appliciation are cancilled on the spot.

    seems things are a changing.

  14. I think your local office is on another planet........

EAD is not decided at local office..... EAD & AP are approved befor interview.... you dont need them after the interview (if approved)

Medical is valid.... but you need to have the Vaccination Supplament done in the states by a Civil Surgeon....

Hope you have better luck at your interview.....

    THANKS FOR THE INFO,

they were very insistant on thier postion.

Any new AOS appliciation with requests for ead and advance parole will not receive work perment or the travel documents intill an interview is completed for the aos.

our interveiw is scheduled about 90 days after our initial appliciation.

i guess this is not to long af a period to wait.

  15. my wife and i visted a local office to day. we scheduled an info pass and learned a few things.

    1. the local office(calexico california) does not even receive my wife's file for her i-485 and ead document untill a few days before her schedule interview(march 7)

    2. her ead and advance parole would not be approved befor her schedule interview.

( a new proceedure implemented since the day all applications have to be sent to chicago)

    3. she can apply for tempary ead if we wait longer than 90 days.

    4. march 7 is our 91 day since filing.

    5. the uscis agent insisted that the medical exam recieved at jaruez mexico and used at the us embassy, and given to uscis at the el paso port, txs of entry was not valid for aos.

    6. i insisted she was incorrect and we could not come to a good conclusion.

    7. any body have to get another medical examation, after completing one for the embassy ?
