If you're thinking of changing your name before you become a citizen, I would do it now before you apply for ROC... If remove condition and get your new GC and then you want to change your name, it will cost you $450
Sorry just realized that you are US citizen... Yeah better not change it until he gets his 10 year Green Card... (I am assuming he is not changing his name)

I changed address after I filed and got my biometric letter to the old address. Nothing surprises me... Good thing is, you will file with new address and that's what they will go by

I just got approved without an Interview. I filed with a waiver and had no affidavits. If you have enough evidence, you should be fine.

Congrats sabi!! How long did it take ?
2 weeks under 6 months...

Got an email today that my card is in production. No RFE, no interview! Super happy!

Just got an email my card is in production. Super happy! Waiver, no RFE, no interview, approved in less than 6 months...

Not sure it had anything to do with those VSC cases being transferred to CSC but now, just before I hit the 6 month mark, they updated their processing time showing November 2014!

It doesn't show me a step-by-step scale. Do you have an account in the website or no?
yep I have an account from when I started my K1 journey and just keep adding my case numbers as I go.

Finally got my biometric appointment on 7/31.
On a side note, the case status on USCIS web looks way better than before. I like the way you can see what was happening with your case step by step

Definitely call... Happened to me, I am actually still waiting. It's been almost 4 months since I filed! Called many times and was told that nothing was scheduled ( I bet they didn't even check my case), then once told I would be scheduled for July 6-7 and if I don't get the letter by July 1st to call. I called and was told again that nothing was scheduled... Then called earlier this week to find out I missed my appointment on July 6th but never got the letter. They are trying to re-schedule me now but I made an info pass appointment for July 24 and I will just go and hope they will do it for me since I was already scheduled... This is super frustrating, you're not on your own
but definitely keep calling. You don't want to end up being accused of abandoning your case...

If you guys are still waiting for biometrics, keep calling them. I made probably 10 calls so far and each person told me something different. Today I talked to probably the only person that actually checked my case and apparently I was scheduled for Biometrics for July 6th but I never got the letter! So obviously I missed it. They will be re-scheduling me now... So frustrating. Wondering how much longer will my approval take thanks to this delay...

I had a friend of mine that got approved without biometrics. She travels often and I guess they figured biometrics were up to date. It might be the same in your case, but you might want to call uscis and if you get a decent tier 1 representative, they will definitely help you.
Good luck!
I called two weeks ago, they said they would schedule me for July 6-7. Then I called again and they told me nothing was scheduled and i put in a service request. Today I got a response by mail that my address was changed. I did not call to change my address but get an update on my case. I changed my address online weeks ago... this is just a huge mess! I am really hoping this is the case but they don't have my current photo so I am not sure how can they even skip biometrics. I could have changed in the last 2 years... anyway just venting sorry!

This is crazy people already get approved and I am still waiting for my Biometrics... I'm hopeless at this stage... It's going to be 4 months in 2 weeks!
-
I think I've waited long enough to call... Lady on the phone told me I should have called earlier (go figure) and they will schedule me for July 6th or 7th and if I don't get a letter by June 30th I should call them again.... How funny that it works so different for each and every one of us... ahhhh. Anyway lost 3 months, hopefully the rest will go much faster (hopeful thinking!!).

This is getting crazy a bit... It's been almost 3 months and that's just biometrics! It really worries me at this stage...
-
All of april got their biometrics.....there dont seems to be any lagg.
This is crazy. Did anyone manage to get any response as of why we still didn't get our biometrics appointment letters?
-
6 weeks and no biometrics i m worried now....it seems like no one is worried at all?
I would worry if it was just me but looks like this seems to be the case at CSC for now. I decided not to call them as this used to slow the process down as they were pulling your paperwork out of the queue and I just don't want to risk it at this stage. I'll call if people start getting biometrics and I don't... It is extra stressful since I am going with divorce waiver but all I've learnt from this process is that worrying doesn't really help in speeding things up
-
This is crazy that none of us late March filers in CSC got biometrics yet... it's going to be 2 months soon...
-
John531's info updated!
I am actually divorce waiver too
-
Well it's not always that black and white
but looks like California is indeed a little slow... must be that beautiful weather! Who would want to work on days like these...
-
I have the same problem! Plus my thing is our baby is due 5/19 so I would like to get the biometrics done before
I called to USCIS this week they told me to call back
if I don't have my letter 30 days after the NOA date.
That sounds reasonable. Will be waiting till 23rd and then calling. Not looking forward to be on hold for hours
Good luck with the baby!

Hi Guys, should I start worrying soon that I still haven't received my biometrics' appointment? It will be a month next week since my NOA1...
N-400 October 2018 Filers
in US Citizenship Case Filing and Progress Reports
Posted · Edited by sabi
Hey guys! I just filed my n400 online. I divorced so filed based on 5 years rule. I attached divorce cert, marriage cert as I re-married 3 years after the divorce and my newborn birth cert. also attached front and the back of my green card. As I was trying to go further it asked me for further evidence. I had no idea what further evidence I can provide so I just submitted another doc -credit card payment form. Did I needed to
provide any additional evidence? I’m a bit confused and worried... thanks in advance for your responses!
