  1. I got 2 RFEs today from NVC.

    1) Beneficiary's Passport.

    2) Police Cert.

Just wondering if anyone tried to email NVC and asked them to move these 2 RFEs to a later date (at the time of interview). Would they usually ok on these 2 items?

It took my wife 2 to 3 days to get her passport and 5 to 7 days to get her police certificate. Might be a little different waiting time for others, I don't know. Good luck!

  2. Hi everyone.

I wanna share my happiness with all of you that my CR1 visa was approved last week! Its been a really hard time for me and my husband since I was so worry about my 15 days overstay under B2 visa, but everything went pretty well the CO did confirmed with me that less than 180 days overstay is not a problem, and also my report from that guy in US Embassy didnt effect my interview, so I just wanna say thank god !!!! and thank everybody who have been really nice and helpful to me on VJ.

Wish you guys best of luck!

  3. IMO, that's no more than a 2 week delay. Cool and Coolish, all things considered for how paper files sit in that bonded warehouse in China, when EP casefiles get immediate appointment date set after final review.

Did you ever see the timeticks for EP ?

  5. Hi everyone,

I suppose to change my 2 years greencard to 10 years greencard on March, 2013.

However, my 7 years American citizen husband (7 years in relationship with him, and married for less than 2 year)wants to divorce me, because his mother's interfere, and he started blaming me for everything, because his mother constantly saying negative and bad things about me, asks him to divorce me, otherwise the mother will cut my husband off from the family. My husband even said to me that he has no choose with his mother, but he has choose with me, his wife. So, he decided to choose his mother, and divorce me.

Fortunately, I found a job for myself in real estate agency, and expecting my real estate agent license by August this year.

I need to know if I am able to obtain my 10 years Greencard if he divorced me.

Please help me, it is urgent. I am devastated. I still love him very much, I cried myself to sleep or just stay up all night right now.

    Thanks

    XH

An American man left his wife because of his mother?

  6. Yes, that was what I meant. Well, I haven't receive the notification I-797c hardcopy yet, USCIS said they would mail it to me within 45 days since 6th Jun,2012,but they said had forwarded my case to NVC at the same, too. SO does that mean I count the dates since I got the notification hardcopy or I can ignore the NOA2 paper just call NVC after a month since 6th Jun, 2012? It has been 22 days, I wrote to NVC, but they said haven't got my petition yet.

Thank you so much for putting answer.

I would call NVC everyday now. Maybe USCIS as well, i know snail mail is slow but 22 days? I learned last week that other country's can use EP now but I have no clue if that would be the reason for the delay.

  7. Hi Everyone,

My wife and I filed for her visa in January, 2012. It has felt like an eternity, but we finally received our NOA2 last Saturday! Anyway, until now we have felt as though we were in limbo. Without any specific dates or even good estimations to work with, we have not really been able to make arrangements in our personal life, i.e. house, job, work, etc.

My question is this... following the final interview (assuming all goes smoothly and the visa is granted) is there a certain amount of time that my wife will have to wrap up her business in China before coming to the America? Or is she expected to drop everything and jump on the first plane out? It would be wonderful if the latter was practical but she needs to make arrangements with the university she teaches at, as well as finishing and finding tenants for our new apartment (among other things). Because it had been impossible to make these arrangements without having some relatively concrete sense "when" things would happen, we now find ourselves in a mad dash to get it all done. I am just concerned that it may not be possible to do it all before the final interview. If she needs to stay a little longer, what are the rules? How much time would we have?

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Shorttime

  8. Okay, I got lucky on this one. My wife had some ants in her pants or something and hit the send button on our prepared 3032 email on sunday. 12 hours later we recived the ds-3032 email.......and today we received our GZO number.

Thanks for the reply's, I tried to tell her that but she is a little stubborn.

  9. My case was received at NVC on May 21st as well and JUST got a case number on the 7th of June. Hold in there. Call every day and one day instead of telling you 'you need to allow 10-20 business days' they will ask for your and the beneficiary's full name and DOB then you can give them your emails and the ball will be rolling. You can receive all correspondence that way with NVC via email, much faster and more efficient.

Fingers crossed you get your case number soon!

    June 5th, and thank you.
