The receipt date on NOA1 is 11/15/2011.

Most people recommend that you DO NOT reschedule the interview date IF you have an interview at all. Our interview for AOS was at the 87 day point from receipt date. ROC is different and so is each local office. You may have the 10-YR GC before you leave with no interview or you may have an interview while you are out of the country. We can all sit here and give you time estimates, but in the end what happens happens and it is up to you to decide how important the 10-YR GC is verses traveling and having the hassel of rescheduling an interview should you have one.

Well I am gonna bet and say my application will bot be processed until a few months from now as VSC seems to be still working on May filers. Well I will keep my finger crossed and go back on 1/15 for a month then return to US. If I do get an interview then I have to come back for it.

If VSC still working on May filers, does that mean November filers like myself will have to wait a long time to hear back anything into 2012? Did they strictly work by month?

Hey for those of you who filed in June to Vermont Service Center, can you give some update on whether you have got approval or not? Also would be nice if you can talk about if you had interviews after biometrics. Good luck to all of us!

We filed in Nov 2011 and then received I-797 notice extending my residency to another year. The biometric appt is on Dec 16th. Now I am planning on traveling to foreign country to visit my family the end of of Jan 2012. I called USCIS customer representative and was told I am authorized to travel and work as long as I have the notice with me. My concern is shall I trust his saying. Can I travel before they produce the final GC?

Thank you for your reply. Do you know what is the maximum period between the original interview date and the rescheduled one? Trying to figure out how long I can visit.

We filed in Nov too. USCIS issued receipt on 11/15 with the notice to extend my residency for one year. My temporary GC expires Feb 2012. Issueded Boimetric appt on 11/29 with appt scheduled on 12/16.

We filed on 11/5 by overnighting. Was sent to Vermont Immigration Center. Thanks!
