Christmas day was my 5 months since NOA1. I called the Tuesday after Christmas and was told they are behind and to call back in 39 days. I called last week which was a week early of the 39 days and was told the exact same thing. Call back in 39 days they are behind on processing. But every where on tracking it says 5 months processing time as soon as last weeks time of processing report. Is any one else going through the same thing? I'm at my breaking point now and can't take another day of this, I have become so depressed that all I do is cry all day. Please respond so I know I am not the only one still waiting after 6 months.

I have been using Western union now for 6 months without any problems on my end. My wife has been treated bad when picking up money at bank. But its been good for both of us and easy to do. I tried to send her a prepaid visa card where I could load money on as she needed but it never got to her so I tried again and same thing. The post office sait it was probably still at customs. Magnetic strip is a problem. And of course I didn't put any money on it before sending so only lost $5 cost of card. The western union works good because I am always just scrapping together enough money for her rent at last minute and send it money in minutes so the landlord don't throw her out in the streets. I thought the CC would be good for food money but can't get it there. Hope this helps

My wife and I have translated every single Russian written document we could think they would need at interview. I am pretty shore we are paying somewhere around $45 with out notery and about $20-$25 more with. We translated her and her daughters birth cert., her marriage and divorce papers, her change of name from her birth name to her first husbands sur name, our marriage cert., police and shot records, and more I can't think of right now. I have probably spent somewhere around $1000 BETWEEN OUR MARRIAGE AND THE VISA PROCESS FOR TRANSLATIONS AND NOTERY. i NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANY THAT WE HAD DONE. wE USED A TRANSLATION OFFICE IN lOTTA Plaza which is right near the American Embassy maybe a block or 2 away. My wife keeps the original and emails me a copy of each paper so we both have a copy and it is quicker for me to print a copy and mail it then for her from Moscow it could take weeks that way. My wife is a worry wort about not having the proper papers when she finally gets an interview. Good uck and if you want I will get the exact name of translation office we use.

Will you share your translation experiences for Russian to English document services in Moscow, Russia? Please share as much as possible: price per page without notary, price per page with notary, what types of documents you had translated, accuracy and turnaround time, plus business contact information (website, phone number, etc.).

My wife has 11 year old daughter and we worried about that also. We went to embassy and I asked about that and was told by 2 different agents from homeland security on 2 diffent occations that the US doesn't require it but leaving the airport in Russia they my ask. In our case the father isn't in the girls life and is 3 years behind on child support so my wife told him she is coming to America to study so he signed the paper and I think he was happy to have them far from him. Unfortunitly its been 6 months and we still havn't gotten approval of our petition.

My NOA1 was July 25th so I called yesterday and the woman wouldn't answer a direct question she just told me they are very behind on approvals and that I will receive some notifacation in 39 days. So that will make it 6 1/2 months just for approval. Who knows how long till interview after that. I've been told at embassy 3-4 weeks but looking on here at others timeline its 3 to 6 more months. I'm ready to loose it at this point.

On Christmas day my petition acceptence was 5 months ago. So yesterday I called to see what is going on. The woman would.t answer any question directly, she just said that California center is way behind on approvals. She said now that its past the 5 months I'm concidered over the time of normal process. So she said because I called I will receive an answer in 39 days. Is she friggen kiding me 39 days. This whole process has been so hard and they make everything even harder. I spent 2 days in the hospital last week from the stress of all this they thought I had a heart attack. 39 more days and God only knows how long from the approval until the interview, I might not live to see this through. All I wanted was to live a happy life with the woman I love and this has made the whole thing a night mare. We were told at Moscow embassy that from start to finish the whole process would be 3 to 6 months. So we rented an apartment in Moscow in September and enrolled her daughter in school there figureing we would have to struggle a few months. Now 5 months later I'm going broke and she is still there and no approval or interview in site. I have to go lay down just writeing this I am having chest pains.

This package was eating me alive before I sent it off and still giving me so much stress.
I sent the package the 3rd of December which was Saturday and got a delivery confirmation via USPS on Monday 2pm. And since I haven't got any email or text from USCIS.
I checked several of your timeline in the signature section and it seems like within 3 days you all got E-notification about the package. I'm getting anxious already. I shouldn't stress myself out but I just can't help it.
Bye.
I never received an e-mail or text myself but received a form in mail with date received and a case number. I got it about 6 or 7 days after the date received. So just relax you will be happy when you get it then you can check statice using case number. Just don't start to early like I did I drove myself nuts checking every day. I'm in my 5th month nnow so I should be getting approval any day now. But now I'm worrying that USCIS will close some days for the holidays and delay things.

My case is in the 5th month of initial review. I have been looking into what to expect for the next stage. Does anyone know how long after the approval it takes to get interview, I and my wife have read so many different lengths of time from different sites. The majarity said 3 to 4 weeks after approval but when I looked on this site it said 201 days. I'm freaking out now, this is the hardest thing to go through and to think it could drag out 6 to 7 more months I don't think I could do it emotionally. My wife even began to get all the things required for interview like police record and shot record but they all have a one month life span they are no good after 30 days. We spent so much money already going by what we read. Please tell me the real amount of time that is correct to ease my mind or make me loose it all together. Thanks
