  1. Is there an "XX" at the beginning of the number? If so make sure to include them also, and they need to be in CAPS.

Yes thank you. I'm finally able to sched an appointment. I guess it just really took some time for them to enter it on there system.

Thanks everyone for all your help :)

  2. Thanks. I emailed the embassy and they gave a response similar to what you said. Although i'm still unable to schedule the interview paid it on june 29. Anyway, this the copy of email they have sent me. For future reference ?

Thank you for writing to US Visa Service Desk.

We have received your attachment. In regard to your query, payments made before 3:00 PM will be activated four (4) to six (6) hours otherwise it will be activated four (4) to twenty-four (24) hours after the time of payment. For payments made online, payment activation takes four (4) to twenty-four (24) hours from time of payment online.

Please be advised that payments made in cash at Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) will use the applicant's passport number (indicated in the receipt) as the receipt number when scheduling the appointment. Incorrect or old passport number encoded in the receipt will still be used as the receipt number when scheduling the appointment. Just make sure that the passport number indicated in the DS160 form (form not applicable to K visa applicants) is correct and updated.

Do let us know if you have any more queries.

Reality its just a RECEIPT number, does not need to match the passport... its a RECEIPT number, that just happens most times to be the passport number, as long as you enter it the same online to schedule the interview and its accepted you are fine. Only on the forms/documentation you complete for the visa do you need to make sure the passport number is correct.

  4. Yes I know. I would probably do it like that. I would have complain and make them know that they should do something about it because it is their fault. But i'm the petitioner and i'm here in the US. And My fiance doesn't really deal with things that way.. That's why when he came to BPI and were told that he needs to call the embassy because its not something they could fix he just calmly left and had done what he was told to do. Sigh.

  5. I'll see first what can be done. But if it is going to take a long time for embassy to fix the problem, i have no choice but to pay again. A lot has already been planned.. My vacation leave and other stuff has been set up.. I'm planning for him to come on Aug 20. If this issue is going to delay him a month i'd rather just pay it again. Hopefully everything works out. Thank you for all your help. :)

  6. OMG i really hope they would do something about it soon. My fiance immediately went back to BPI. It was only an hour from the time he paid but BPI refused to fix it. It was their fault. They told us to call the embassy. The embassy said it shouldn't matter but reading the response from this topic im getting nervous now. I have everything planned already. I tried scheduling online but it wouldnt accept the receipt number. Hopefully it was just delayed with processing. I'll try again Monday. What if I have my fiance pay it again. I wonder if they would allow it and give us a refund for the previous payment. Sigh

  7. My NOA2 was May 14. It actually took over a month for NVC to receive it. But when I called on june 25, they told me that they had received it on the 22nd and they were able to give me my case number right away and sent it out the next day on the 26th. Which I wasn't expecting to be quick after the long wait from USCIS and NVC period.

Congrats to you! May i know when you received your noa2? we are waiting for some good news from nvc also. We had noa2 last June 12....

  8. When I called NVC they said they had sent it out on june 26. And I tried that DHL tracking (just dont know if it actually works). There is a shipment from June 26 that was just delivered today. So I'm hoping. Thank you :)

You can't schedule the appointment until your information is uploaded at the embassy. I just went though that. After NVC received our case and I had the number, it took them 5 days to actually ship it out.

The thing to do is to give it a week, then call NVC back and ask when they shipped your case to the embassy. So, I'd recommend calling NVC tomorrow to find out the ship date.

Then allow 8-10 days for the package from the ship date to reach the embassy and be uploaded before calling to set your appointment (or doing it online.)

Remember that July 4th is a holiday for the embassy next week too, so your info may not be uploaded as quickly.

  9. Thank you so much for the infor. :)

you can now pay your visa at any BPI branch, set your interview appointment and do the medical before the interview, the USEM isn't sending instruction letter anymore for k1 applicants you can download it at their website but you are good to go as long as you have your MNL case #.

    congratulations :)

  10. Thank you so much for this info:)

    sorry for this one..

  11. NVC received approved petition on June 22,2012. I called today just to confirm beneficiary's email address on their file. So I went ahead and check the status of it as well. The lady I spoke to said it was sent out today? Is it for real??? OMG I'm so happy.

Is it okay to call the embassy to check if they have received it? What's the number for status inquiry? What would be the reasonable time for me to start calling to check the status? Thank you so much.

  12. We are waiting for more than 30 days already. t's really hard. Just continue praying..:) Godbless us.

sigh.... i've been calling NVC everyday but it's just a disappointment. I called USCIS couple of times, once I got a rep that's clueless keeps giving me the wrong info, told me i had to wait 90 days for NVC since it's a I-130. HELLO! I had to correct him and told him it's actually a I-129F. So I had asked for a supervisor which is not so friendly and was very rude. OMG... these people thinks they are all that...grrr...... :bonk:

  13. I got a supervisor this evening and they said the date got updated b/c they finally decided to send out the shipmentfrom CSC to NVC on Wed 6/6...so fingers crossed for all us folks from May approved NOA2 at California that it is enroute now to new hampshire!!! the waiting again after we have already waited almost 4 weeks of it sitting around at CSC.

How come mine is still showing May 14???

  14. OMG is USCOS lying to me now!!!

Those of us who got out NOA2 on or after MAY 14th 2012...GUESS what our appilcations are still sitting at CSC waiting for then to compile enough to sent to NVC in new hamshire!! Outrage!!!

On May 14, 2012, my I-129F my PETITION FOR FIANCE was approved (so thats the good news!) BUT!!!!!!!!!

I still havent got a case number yet from NVC, despite my daily calls to NVC...so today I called USCIS (as its been 3 weeks and more than 15 business days) and I spoke with a supervisor after waiting for 45 minutes and we found out its still sitting at USCIS CSC office as they only send out approved petitions from time to time and they are waiting to compile enough to send out to NVC...crazy or what!!!! Not fair!!! We all wait so long to be re-united with our loved ones and our packet is sitting around still!!! They said hopefully by the end of this week it will go out to NVC..grrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

So i did a little research scrolling back on this posting and

All the people who got approved just 5 days before us (like May 7.8.9,10,11)went to the NVC and got case numbers (and yes I have genuinely happy for all of you!!! :) ) around May 20-23rd exactly 2 weeks.

But those of us who got out NOA2 on or after MAY 14th 2012...GUESS what our appilcations are sitting at CSC waiting for them to "get enough applications to send all at once"

    HAVENT WE WAITED LONG ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least we have each other to vent!!!

But looking on this thread, it seems like some that are approved after us have already reached NVC. I hate for it to just be stuck at the USCIS. It's been 3 weeks. Well i hope that's not really the case with us. It's really been a long journey for us going through all this process to be with our love ones. Oh well im just going to pray and try to be positive about this as much as I could. Thank You.

  15. Took me 27 days, around 25 I called a senator and they may have sped things up, I was in a time crunch

Keep contact with the NVCresearch team and if you manage to get ahold of the NVC supervisors they can check via your last name or SSN if the case has even been processed at all in/since the shipping section. The NVC's been really backlogged lately

What's the process with regards to contacting the senator? Where can i get the contact information? Thank you
