Thankyou so much for ur reply. I visited indian consulate site and there is something i noticed about gettig police clearnce. But now my question is because i needed certificate till the date i left India, do u think 6 months validity perios apply in this circumstances. Its because am trying to keep all documents & paperwork ready. Thanks

Hi Just saw ur reply in one of the post. I am in same situation. i lived in india till age of 25 then moved to uk and now citizen of UK. will not be able to get police clearance from india as they don't provide to non residents. Did ur wife had to get anything in writing or proof from China that she tried to get police clearance.Thanx
