    We couldn't get proof.

    The trouble was that her last registered household was in Fujian province which is the closest to Taiwan and, hence, the strictest. There was some low-level bureaucrat who refused to do either.

    We did consider that maybe the best answer would be to write to the consulate and have them refuse, which of course would be in writing.

    Look at the reciprocity ...
