We applied for AOS last week and used a PO Box as our mailing address and we'll be moving this week from our physical address into a new place.

Do we need to inform the USCIS of the physical address change or do they just care about mailing address ?

Do i need to get any license to work in the US?

How do i go about finding work in US?

we don't know for Phillipines...check with the VFS or consulate people. you can probably find out with a google search.

FYI - We just received the K1 visa with passport in the mail this morning..

We sent the initial application from the USA 16 Aug 2011, so the process took 9 months, just like having a baby

This was for a US citizen petitioning for my Indian fiance.

We got a 221g form also, and submitted what they requested and got the passport back WITH VISA in 8 days..

Me and my son has done interview last May 7(monday),everything looks fine but in the last window consul gave me a white paper 221g and for additional documents like income tax return of my fiance,w-2 form and my a.k.a NBI clearance,i sent those documents May 8 via the courier 2go and i checked it on the 2go website yesterday and it says status DELIVERED,i tried to call the embassy this morning but numbers are busy i just want to ask do i have to wait them to contact or inform me about my visa status?and on this case is there anybody knows what will happen to my case?they kept our passport and told me just wait the passport deliver to my address after i submit the additional documents.How long it takes?is there any possibility to get the visa?im confused,sad,and didnt get a good sleep recently i already read some forum and i saw there that some applicant have to send another additional documents after submitted the first additional documents and some of them got their passport back without visa i was thinking that they may deny our visa too:( pls help any suggestion thanks and i appreciate

FYI, as of 13 April 2012, the new K1 visa fee at the time of interview is $240 rather than $350, good news!

If you come with a draft for $350, they will delay your interview for at least 2 weeks... so bring a draft for

$240!!

Also, just discovered that the police report needs to be signed off at the original place of passport issuance. So, even if you have been living somewhere else in India the last couple years, you need to go to the local passport office in the town you got your passport issued to be signed off as well...pain in the #######!
