First off, have you been calling NVC and DOS every day?

Have you looked at other Haiti cases? Does it normally take this long?

I've called NVC they told I just have to wait they don't know when it will happen. For Haiti wait can be between 1-5months :-( what's DOS?

My husband's child. He is 6 years old. I thought that since he is my husband's son he could be added but I'll have to pay a different fee & all..

My case is complete at NVC, is it too late to add my husband's underage to the petition? We didn't include him @ first because we thought it would be too hard on us financially. If its not 2 late plz let me know what I should do. Thanks.

Case complete since Feb 15 & still no interview date. It's tough waiting knowing that there's nothing else I can do to speed up the process.Saylin what should a girl do? Other than banging my head against the wall :-)

I could request new ones but it would take time & money. I was thinking about emailing the embassy & see if they can give them to my mom when she goes to pick up her visa.

My mother went for an interview at the consulate in Haiti.everything went well,she was approved(thank God) but even though she specifically asked she was not given her original birth certificate or mine.she was only given the copies.what should I do? Any advice?

Congrats! I don't remember the name of the doctor my mom went to,but he's the 1st one on the list & the most expensive one.she paid $320 instead of $150-$200 with the other docs. My hubby won't go 2 that vole I can tell you that.Ask other VJ members.Good luck! Congrats again.

It's true AVR is gone.I found out yesterday when I called.now you only have the option to choose English or Spanish option then wait to be connected to an operator. Sucks if you ask me..sometimes I dnt feel like waiting to talk to anyone..oh well..

Thanks guys. she is approved. I'm so happy :dance: Welcomemom, NVC did the same thing to me, told me my original birth certificate was a copy smh! I had to call & have a supervisor look at it & they closed the case 3 days later. I think i'll pass on that acid ( well still waiting for my hubby's interview so maybe then )

My mom's interview at the embassy is today @ 7am. I am so anxious that I can't sleep. I've been waiting for this day for so long. I need some xanax or something

Hello VJ members, I have a situation. I have a goddaughter that I want to adopt & bring to the US but I can't because I'm too young.My mother has an interview scheduled at the embassy this month. Someone just told me that I could have had my mom adopt my goddaughter & they both could've have come together. Is that true? Now I'm wondering if she can still get adoption paper together & bring them to the interview.Would that work?I really hope that there is a way. Please help me sort this out. Thank you

Case complete within 2 days of NVC receiving both packages from me.. so happy Now the wait for the interview date begins. Bring it on US consulate !

Another question guys.. I requested my tax transcripts from the IRS but still didn't get them yet. Since I've been using turbo tax online to file my taxes can I send the tax return pages they give me after filling to NVC? I just want to keep moving

Hi everybody. I have a few questions about the NVC stage. My country is not eligible for electronic processing, my questions are:

.Can I have my hubby print out the DS-230 form sign it, scan it, e-mail it to me & I can send it to NVC? or does he have to mail me an original form with his signature?(takes time & $$)

. I sent USCIS 2 passport pics of my hubby,can I send the same to NVC or it has to be 2 different ones?

. My income used to be below the poverty line, now I have a new job & it is above the povery line, can I sponsor him alone or do I still need a co-sponsor?

I just received 2 e-mails from NVC one is the choice of agent and the other is telling me to pay the $88 AOS fee, but I didn't receive no e-mail from USCIS saying that the case was approved. I am so excited because I didn't expect to get an approval until April or March the earliest. If NVC set me those e-mails that means I was approved right? silly question I know. Aaaaaaah! I'm so happy

It's been roughly a month since I received my NOA1.In the beginning of January I plan on relocating to another state.My questions are: When do I notify USCIS of my address change? Should I do it ASAP? if so would it slow down my case in any way? or since I'll still have family members at the address on file after I relocate, should I wait until I get the NOA2 and notify NVC of my change of address? In any case how do I go about notifying either USCIS or NVC about my address change (what forms)? Thank you.

My case(for my mother)been complete since Nov 4th and still no e-mail, no interview date Everytime I call NVC they tell me sorry we don't have a date for you yet and we can't tell you when you might get one.. so frustrating
