Sent in my RFE this morning to the USCIS Vermont office. Nothing major, just missed answering one question when I was filling out the I-129f form online. I sent it by 2-day delivery so they will have it on Saturday 12-10-11. Hopefully this will be the only "hiccup", which was a small one, and the visa will be approved soon

Happy New Year to all my wonderful VJers! Be safe, continue to be patient, and we will get our NOA2's soon:)

USCIS sent me notification of receiving my "initial evidence" on December 13th. It's now the 29th in the evening and no word as of yet. Hopefully, the NOA2 will be any day now.

Thanks for the add. I will be so glad when we get all the way through this you know? It's definitely worth the wait, but it's so hard to be patient. Have a good day.

the US embassy in Vientiane. He's been there for 11 years and don't think we will have much difficulty obtaining the visa. In an indirect way, she will inform the CO that her father works at the embassy. This will at least alert the CO that her family definitely wants her to go to the US. Yes, we have all our ducks in a row and I have been triple checking everything lol!

Hey Rick! Happy Easter to you and your wife:) Thanks for the info and I'm glad the Australian clinic emailed that to you wow!! I will be sending in my wife's packet thus beginning the proceedings in about 1-2 weeks. Her mom is NOT doing well at all! So I will be asking for her advance parole as well just in case. Hey we just might take you up on Nevada. Will let y...

Hey Rick! Sorry but I've been really busy since my lady came to the states with me. We are currently in Houston, TX as I am doing some travel nursing. Next stop looks like New York; she wants to see snow and feel the cold:) Anyway, I hope all is well with you? I WILL keep in touch for now on. Talk with you later.

Rick..........finally got the visa approval! Woohoo we are soooooooo happy!!!! She went today and presented the evidence to the female consular officer and she approved us:) I'm going in a couple of weeks to pick her up. Keep in touch and let me know if you want us to bring you back anything from Laos. Take care.

She then looked over our file several times and then signed her name to the visa from what I gather. Her father's boss came to see them at their house and told them about the turn of events. So it looks like these documents are just a formality. Please pray my fiancee gets her visa soon ok? You have a great day and take care.

Those are some very interesting situations! I thought it was surprising that one couple did not make enough money nor have any other financial resources, but since he was in the armed forces, they got their visa anyway....wow! Thank you so much for this information. I have made duplicates as well so we have a copy of everything. My fiance's father works as a security officer at ...

Hey Rick how are things going? Just wanted to let you know that I sent all required documents to my fiancee in Laos. She will give them to the female CO on friday (thursday evening for us). This officer didn't believe my fiancee when she said her father worked at the embassy. So she started asking people and she happened to ask her father's boss who of course said he works at the em...

Thanks again for your input. We will pray for you everyday that she gets her visa. Please pray for us. You take care, have a good day, and will talk with you later. It's a shame that 2 people wait at least one year to get the NOA2 only to have a 5 to 10 minute interview. And in that time frame, the CO can either say yes or no....oh what power huh? Fingers are crossed for you as well.

Sabaidee pi mai!!!! It's a shame we couldn't be in Laos for the new year. And yes, every day feels like a year. God bless you both and I will let you know how the interview went. Surely, we will get our visa as well! Take care and keep in touch; we will do the same. I will tell her you said hello. Have a great day.

My fiancee will have her interview tomorrow at 8am in Vientiane, Laos woohoo! I am so excited and nervous at the same time. Please God let her receive the visa!

Hi Paivaj thanks for your comment. I'm glad you got to see Luangprabang and the market. It's the little things that mean the most to me as well. Me and my fiancee will go to Vangvieng to check on her Aunt's resort. Make sure it is ready for guests. Then maybe we can go and see some waterfalls are nearby as well. Still no word from USCIS but it should be anytime. Have a good day.
