Hello I have a question to ask, I am preparing to send out my AOS and I was waiting on my mom who is my co-sponsor to get her IRS tax transcripts for the past 3 years she got them but she did not get 2012 transcript because they said it will not be ready for another couple of weeks, I was wondering can I just send the 2011 and 2010 transcripts, I do have her W2's for all 3 most recent years (2010 thru 2012) and her federal tax papers for 2012 and 2011, will I have to wait for the 2012 tax transcripts? Thank you for any response.
Sheila.

I think you are using an old form. Question 8 on the new form is not this! The latest form is 03/22/13.
Thank you Mike411 I was using the old form dated 2012 but it did say somewhere that you can still use the old form up til June 23th 2013 I believe I will try to print the new one out and it did have this question on the new one as well I saw it, just a bit confused about which box to check but I will check the yes because even though like I said I do have a co-sponsor, I am sponsoring him as well.... thanks again.

Hi I have a question I need help on the I-864, I am stuck at question 8. I am sponsoring my hubby but I also need a co-sponsor which will be my mom, the question asks am I sponsoring the principal immigrant named in Part 2 above check a box, yes, or no then by no it says Applicable only in cases with 2 joint sponsors. My question is my mom is co-sponsoring with me do I check the no box, is she considered a joint sponsor. Thank you for your response in advanced...

You have a year before the case is considered abandoned. The year is counted from the last contact (phone, e-mail, mail) that you had with them.
Ok thank you Speedwell I appreciate your response, I won't wait that long......lol I am just waiting for my Co sponsor to get her paperwork in order.....Thanks again

Hello everyone, I have a question can someone please help... I just recieved a message from NVC about paying the AOS bill for them to process my papers, how long after u pay the AOS bill do you have to wait to send all the paperwork for the AOS? I have all my paperwork but my co-sponsor is still waiting on her tax papers to be done, well processed she did them at the last minute. She had to do 2011 and 2012 together cause she did not file last year I guess, anyways I want to know if I pay the bill how long do they give you to get the paperwork in to them? Thank you.

Barcodes are absolutely still issued! Right after you pay the IV or AOS fee, you should see two options: one to print out the barcode sheet, or another to send it to someone's email.
Ok thank you I will have to pay the AOS Bill fee and the IV Fee first in order to print the barcode out? Thank you for your reply oohpartiv

If he is going for the interview in italy, the answer is NO u do not have to translate to english. It say on their website that IF the document is in italian or english, there is no need to translate...good luck
Hi no he is not at the interview yet it is for his IV packet. Thank you Aa&Cee

Thank you for your replies in advanced.

I was having the same situaton I just called them this week and they said that they have it but it is not processed yet give them 2-4 weeks but I am going to keep call them til I get that case #.....

When you guys say "call the NVC to get the number" what do you mean? How am I going to get the number? On the phone or they'll send an email?
My husband said we don't need to call anyone and they'll send me (the beneficiary) a letter that given me the information needed to pay the taxes and the document I have to send.
Can you guys be more specific or give a link where I can find what happens right after the approval?
I'm so confused and honestly my husband doesn't let me understand things that good
Hi I was a bit confued as well at first probalby looking too hard into it, but they are saying the NOA2 is the # they use and to call NCV and give them that # to see if the NCV has your case# and your case to speed it up alittle instead of waiting on them to send the paperwork in the mail hwich can be awhile if you wait on them.
-
NVC will give you a consular casefile number.
the uscis receipt # is needed, when calling into NVC, to obtain the Consular Casefile number.
Ok thank you Darnell can I go ahead and print out the barcodes now tha I have the NOA2?
Go to this link, and read under where it says "NVC steps".
Thank you I will
-
The NOA2 number has your USCIS case number and sometimes your A number. Neither one is your NVC number. When you call the NVC to find out if your case has been received, give them your USCIS case number and they can look in their system to see whether they have received the case or issued an NVC number.
Thank you so much just was a bit confused thought I had to wait on a # from the NCV after the NOA2 thanks
-
Hello everyone I am the US citizen and I had recieved My NOA2 last week , what I want to know is the NOA2 receipt # is that the # that the NCV will send to me? I know I am suppose to call and make sure they have my case and to recieve that #, after a week or 2, my question is, are they going to give me a different number than the NOA2? I ask because I wanted to do the barecodes.
Thank You

Hello everyone, I am the US citizen and my Husband resides in Italy but is a citizen of Nigeria, I want to know how long the police certificate is valid for in Nigeria? I got my NOA2 approval last week but waiting for the paper to come into the mail, I don't want him to try to get the certificate too early and it expires, can someone let me know how long it is valid for? Thank you for your response.

USCIS approves the initial petition, then sends it off to NVC. After sending off all the needed NVC docs, they, too, will approve their portion of the process, before scheduling the interview and sending it off to the embassy or consulate. At the embassy/consulate you'll get the final approval or denial - it's really them who get the final say in whether you've been approved or not.
Read up on all the links Darnell posted. They'll get you ready for the NVC steps.
Ok thank you!!!

Post Decision Activity
On March 15, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.
For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.
Can someone tell me what this mean does this mean they approved it to go to the NVC for the next step ? I was freaking out like it was the NVC approval.......

Hi everyone I have a question. I am the us citizen sponsoring my husband. My question is do I have to include my son's income he gets SSI (supplemental income) on #24b? Also do I include my income as well as his as the total ( even though it is his income)in #24c? Do I have to get something from SSI that states that he gets supplemental income? Sorry I have more than one question..... thank you for your response...
