  1. My fiance (USC) called NVC today and was told the same thing.. to call after 15 days. They asked for the receipt number, if we have received the approval notice, and when it is dated.. Afterwards, they told my fiance to call after 15 days from the date indicated on approval notice. they don't even bother to check if it is already on their system, or if they already received our file.

Can I just email them? I see some VJers who got their case number after a week of their NOA2. I know it is case to case basis but how come that when we called, they didn't even check for it. Just giving us the same lines over and over again.... to wait for 15 days...

They actually do check to see if they have your file. I just called NVC, she asked for my case number. When they put in your case number, if they dont have your file it is then that they ask what your NOA2 date is. If it isn't 15 days out they tell you to call back after that amount of time. From what I have been seeing on here it seems like it is taking a bit longer to move through the NVC stage. Some move quickly, some do not.

  2. I've been searching the forums for an answer, but haven't gotten an answer to my question. Please forgive me if this has been answered already and I just couldn't find it. :)

Is it possible for the Vancouver Embassy to email (rather than snail mail) Packet 3 to the beneficiary? If that is possible, how does one go about having that happen? My fiance will be moving shortly, and will not have as timely of access to his mail as we would have hoped. Email would be our preferred method of communication, and I have heard that Vancouver is stellar with email communication. ANy helpful advice would be appreciated!

    Thank you in advance.
