  1. I want to ask whether its possible for me to apply for Student visa even when I have a petition file pending. If yes, then what are the chances that I will get it? Plus, I would also like to know the difference in scholarships we get in student visa and the scholarships we get if we have a green card.

Just apply your Student Visa,if you are asked, then tell them that you have applied an immigration Visa. This will not make your student Visa more difficult.

  2. Dear All,

My PD is 13 Sep 2001. I have sent an email on nvc inquiry email address about adding child to our application, however I have not heard anything from them in last 08 days. Problem is our ds-230 were submited earlier and case was completed back in 2011 then PD retrogressed. I am worried about adding my child to completed application. Any help would be appreciated from senior members of this forum.

    Thanks.

You did the right thing,if the NVC doesn't reply your adding-child-petition,then you should at least contact the embassy of your location after your pd becomes due.

  3. No,it means after your interview date is appointed, and you fail to go to the consulate, you will have to wait the next fiscal year because your VISA number is retrieved.

If you go to the consulate but fail to issue the correct documents, you will be asked to submit it within one year. After one year and you haven't submit it,you will be looked as "rejected".This is what I think.

  4. Guys, don't be panic. See how other categories moved (except for F2A which stays current):

    F1 and F2B: 2 weeks

    F3: no movement

    F4: 2 weeks

So, all categories moved slowly. This is not because F4 is still suffering a heavy demand. It simply means DOS is limiting the October's visa numbers. In other words, they are not distributing visa numbers evenly between 12 months.

I'm relieved of hearing your words.

I just wonder:The average course of waiting for the F4s is normally eleven years and a half, now you see how long it has been a twelve years' waiting.

  5. dude, you are getting that wrong. The poster "hoangqueen" was saying he got the I/L on August 23rd. Another guy below was asking whether his PD is 08/23/2001. Apparently, according to the long list of members' information on the right hand side of the page, that "hoangqueen" priority date is July 23rd 2001.

Thus far on that vietnamese forum, only one guy named "ngan" provided information about the I/L of his god-knows-who friend whose "god-knows-PD" is August 23rd 2001.

It's admirable for you to challenge that 100% accuracy theory.
