Hi, my fiance got his interview date. I am very happy, but I have a question. Did your fiance fill out the Form Ds-156 online and print, or did he fill out the copy the embassy send. I am just confused on whats the best way to fill that form out. Thank you

Hi Qahar, I heard back from the embassy, they told me that they have received our case, but it waiting to be reviewed. So what should I do now, just wait for packet 3 to be send to my fiance. Does he have to do anything now? Like send any paperwork to the embassy.

I mailed him the following:

1)I-134 form with tax forms and employment information

2) Ds-230, Ds-157, Ds-...

Thank you Qahar, yes I am going to send them the original I-134 form, with original signature, and attach the copies of the 1040 and W-2. I guess when you said original, you were referring to the I-134 form Thank you for your advice, I will email them again today. I guess we just have to be patient and wait. Hey Qahar, what do you mean by tax forms have to be original. I have copies of the 1040, the entire 10 pages. And no interview yet the embassy still has not replied to any of my emails. I am getting worried. Should I call them.

Hi Qahar, for your I-134 form, what did you send for supporting documentation. I have last years tax return (2011) and W-2, a letter from employer, a couple of pay stubs, and a couple of bank statements. Do you think this is good enough. Some people say you need 3 years of tax returns, but I only have one year. Any advice? thanks

ok, I will email them again today. Which email did you use. On the website there are two different ones. Maybe I should send an email to both addresses, so hopefully I can get a reply soon!

Ok, I am glad. I hope everything goes well. After your case reached the Kabul consulate, how long until they send packet 3 or emailed your fiance? I am hearing that is can take anywhere between 2 to 3 months. Is that true?

Hi. I just read your post about not receiving the packet. Did you receive the NOA 2 on April or the letter from the NVC? I am worried too. I emailed the embassy and havent heard back either, my case reached there on Monday. I really hope they respond.

thank you! Dont worry, I read that AP is a normal process for Afghanistan. When was your fiance's interview? It should take about 60 days after the interview to get the visa! Were the interview questions easy or difficult? Sometimes they ask simple things like whats their birthday, but sometimes tricky questions too.

Thank you for the information.For the interview, did you fiance take proof of relationship? like copies of emails/skype conversations/messages? Also, did you have a co-sponsor?

But, they dont have an online version or PDF one available to see the questions. Also, I read from other K-1 visas that the online form is a bit confusing. It asks who the petitioner is, but it only has the option for spouse, not fiance. Either way, please keep me updated on what you guys end up doing. I believe you are about a month ahead of me. No worries Danielle. I just read on the Kabul embassy website that they are no longer using the Ds-230 form, instead the beneficiary has to do an electronic form called DS-260. Do you know if this is true?
