Thank you so much for answers, it's such a relief that at least I am able to come to my sweetheart)))of course, we will wait for his last interviews results before I'll fly to US, to be sure he can support both of us until I'll be able to work.
We will be fine, I'm sure, but that is such a nightmare right now.
Visa Journey rules)))

Hello!
I was searching for similar situations, but didn't find any. My fiance has lost his job right after i've received K-1 visa. of course, we are both upset and have postponed my coming to States. so the question is : what should we do? may this thing happened to us hurt my coming there? fiance keeps telling me i can be denied at POE because of his unemploymence. is it true? or he has to have job and incomes only for applying AOS for me? i want to calm down him and myself, but can't find any information about that.

Hello! My fiance is unsure of when she should schedule her interview for K1 visa in Moscow. She had applied for J1 and Tourist Visa b1/b2, which we researched and found out was okay and legal while we awaited K1 process, but both visas were denied this summer of 2012. The question is: since the last visas were denied less than six months, and both were in 2012, will it affect the K1 visa? or would it be better to wait for interview in January 2013? She has until January 29th to have an interview.
I've got denied twice applying for tourist visa while was waiting for K-1 visa. interview for K-1 went smooth and finished positively, i've got my fiancee visa with no problem in 2 minutes long interview. that is two different type of visas with different requirements. no lie about denials exist, that's it. Keep your girl busy reading this site and russian-fiancee.com. there is a lot of similar situations described, none rejections for K-1. you two will be fine.

where did you get your police certificate translated into english?
You got your sertificate at local police department- Russian ministery of internal affairs (http://www.mvd.ru/mvd/structure/unit/giac/info/), it takes 1 month to get it( you should apply a request and wait), and then you translate this paper in any translators agency in the city ( i paid 250 roubles for that).
and for any updated information about list of the papers you definitely need in embassy-use the site http://moscow.usembassy.gov/iv-fiancee.html.

I have another question. I'm getting conflicting information. Moscow consulate posted that Russian issued documents do not need to be translated, however, when I called the service desk, they said that they absolutely must be translated. They also said, that they can only be translated by an accredited agency. However, they do not need to be notarized. My fiancee's son's military ID is 28 pages. He never served, and most of these pages are blank. The service desk said that every page must be translated, even the blank ones.
Did anybody have to deal with something like this? Agencies charge around $50 per page. That's insane.
This doesn't make sense.
Thanks.
Hello!
I believe, you didn't search very well, because I, russian citizen, K-1 holder, found BUNCH of agencies who offer translation of my papers. And it was 200-250 rubles for each paper, not even each page. I strongly recommend you to ask your fiancee for help finding translating agency at her city. And military ID is requested to be translated, that is shown at the site : http://moscow.usembassy.gov/iv-fiancee.html

We are coming two days after you, guys))))Good luck there! read some inspirational reviews from here: http://www.russian-fiancee.com/rus/forum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=76638&start=280. I've got a lot of confidence reading it, though my papers are good and ready)))
and you, probably, totally ready, thanks to awesome VJ))))
Gooooood luck!!!

Hey there, guys!
as everyone said above- it's better to sit and wait instead of starting new process. about tourist visa- it's not any easier to get it now, i was refused 3 times in a row during couple of years. it might be they refuse nice-looking lonely girls who goes to a lonely grown-up US citizen. not fair, but the fact is that.
so cheer up and keep waiting, it won't be easy, to wait, but there is still plenty of things needed to be done for wedding even without knowing a certain date.
Be an optimist and patient one and everything happens before you get bored)))
Good luck!

I agree with you, this is a community to help each other and vermont people who is waiting for their NOA2 i really feel sad for them and hope they get it soon , but there is no need to make a new account and open up drama (this person must be a regular vj member
to scare to show his true self so made a new account)
Great thought)))
i mean old member creating anonymous post)))idea blow up this forum tonight)))

So what you are suggesting is that within this immigration community people who get approved in less than 249 days should just keep there excitement to themselves? Maybe we should also require that people who have been waiting a long time keep their complaints to themselves?
so i didn't complain, actually))
but you're right, it seems so.
that's why i didn't post anything before. But this fake post, i mean 40-th day approval, of course, made me laugh. Frankily, at myself at first place.
so forgive me for being rude to lucky people who have their beloved ones right next to them.
it's pure jealousy.

You call us BAD ACTORS for try support others, that basically calling all of us hipocrit. Dont play the victim here. Read your on post and see what you write not only about me but all of us in our SOAP OPERA. Keep with your nasty attitude, that will make your noa 2 come faster. God bess u
and i have my papers, by the way)
so i'm sure it also doesn't matter how good you are to be approved by USCIS

God bless your spelling)
I think, we are done, because this fight over our own points of view leads us nowhere.
-
The fact Im not "miserable" as you right now doesnt mean Im hipocrit cause "im not in your shoes" , if I cheer or pray for someone in pain or in a bad situation is because i a human with feeling who had their bad moment of her own. Well basically WE ALL are bad actors cause that we do here, SUPPORT people.we are not immigrant lawyers, we are people who try to help others we are own experience, we help with immigrant info but if we cant help at least we cheer somebody with kind words. If you think like that you better try to find another website, with no BAD actors, hipocrits etc
Hey!
why have you started abusing speeches? run out of your goodness?I'm not any miserable. and i have feelings. and you hurt them, by the way)
-
If you start a threat about how bad you feel I WILL BE the 1st one to say CHEER up and pray for your process as I did thousand times with others in your same situation and worst. After reading this, makes me see how angry you are and I cant blame you, but you shouldnt use this threat to show how angry you are, ok maybe is a joke but what if is dont? Start your on threat so we can support you, cheer you up, listen at you, or at least, try to make you feel we are here for you. But bashing on someone else post even if is it fake is not gonna help you. And the USCIS would be an awesome topic why wont you start it? If people out here turn their anger and frustrations to do something good and help other, this world would be totally different.
I don't need anyones' cheers. and of course i don't need anyone of you being here for me. because it looks like soap opera with bad actors and plot, all of these excitement around every step we all make here. it's a plain paperwork. and my point is- be informational, not emotional.
What can be done, while you are just waiting? it's not you, who won't understand- you were waiting for your darling long enough too. so you should agree, one informational post vs. billion "whohooo" is not enough.
i cheered a person who made a joke, because my feeling was the same, it's not you or anyone else who can tell me I'm angry or something. we have different sence of humor, luckily.

We are at the 260 day mark..and quite offended with USCIS...Time to do something..
Oh! I'm sorry for such a long waiting! after waiting more than average period we were applying to counselor, i mean local senator. it seemed to work, i'm not sure though, it might be just a coincidence that we got approved after visiting our senator
-
It doesn't matter if is someone trolling us or is a genuine approval. Bashing fast approval doesnt help either. I went the through k1 process including watching thousand of people being approved faster than me. It kills you for sure, but we should be supportive with everyone in here...from the people who are till waiting to those who had been approved in 2 days. And if peope here cant say something gentle with one of our members, cause their frustration dont let them. Its better not to say anything at all
Right, about being supportive: why didn't you start with supporting of my frustrated, full of pain and anger heart?:)I would accept something gentle, for sure.
this post is someone's joke, obviously. but it shows, how intence emotions are here. and how poor informational side is. I mean approvals posts, not the VJ site, of course.
is here any posts about "how can we solve USCIS problem of timing"?
-
I cant believe some of the post I'm reading here! Is really unfair! If somebody is approved after 300 days they DO have the right to post and celebrate ??? But if someone was approved in 40 days then he/she DOESN'T has the right to do it? EVERYBODY in here HAVE THE RIGHT TO CELEBRATE THEIR APPROVALS!!! That's why this site was created it for TO HELP and SUPPORT people in the bad times but also in the GOOD ones also! I know that the waiting is awful but that doesn't mean you should act like a bunch of haters, cause if one of u were approved in 40 days you weren't be that mad, uh? So after saying this, CONGRATULATIONS sweetheart hoping your journey will be this smooth and quick....
Stop!
I didn't tell anything about dividing approved people for long and short term of waiting teams. Everyone deserves happiness.
I should say, I always keep the most important words until it all goes wrong. So, my opinion is - plain woohooing about fast approvals doesn't help informationally. But kills with uncertainity-because it's really difficult to crystallize the real experience between lines of congratulations.
Site itself is helpful, it's the best place in the whole Internet and probably on Earth, but babbling doesn't help at all. and you may like it, or not, these posts look more like a bright cover on an empty book.
-
This was uncalled for. There were a lot of people who wrote about disappointment about how slow things are going at vsc. It's only natural that when they get approved, either it's at vsc or csc, they should express their happiness with others.
And have respect for what? Nobody died. They are all getting there, slower or faster.
So, no need for this thread, in my opinion.
Cheers!
It's easy to judge when you are sooooooo at start))))I'm wishing you the best luck, but our 249 days of waiting tell that it's better faster, than slower, believe me))
-
Yeah))))finally someone spoke for the majority))))
We've been waiting for NOA2 for 249 days!!! i stopped hanging at VJ because all of these happily approved people, who sent their packages waaaaay later than we did. I was pissed off by those 2,3,4 month lenght cases while we were still waiting, not being able to do anything.
My opinion is - got approved?- update your timeline in silence, help count statistics, there is no more required))))
I'm thinking about applying for work at USCIS centres after I become US citizen- i have to see why it takes soooooooo long!!!!
The most frustrating experience in my life, i should say...
Good Luck, people!!!

Hi everyone!
At first want to thank people who created this site and fill it with information!
My situation is: our case was sent from California Service centre to Texas cervice centre without any reason, and we didn't know anything about it until called CSC by ourselves. Now we were told that we should expect an RFE, because the adress of receiver on all of our papers is Californian, not Texas. I mean papers such as letter of intentions, for example. We haven't had A-number (or the number of case, which we should use to check the status on the USCIS site or when calling to centre), and neither we had a RFE connected to this circumstances, as it supposed to appear( by e-mail or what?). But we sent the second copy of all of the papers, with corrected adress to new location, Texas centre.
As we were told our case is quite ok, counting numerous evidence of relationship and the accuracy of filling everything, we are just waiting for papers patiently.
so my question is- how is it possible that centre send an RFE because of their misunderstoods between centres? how long usually it takes, after sending them everything they asked for, to correct the case and make an approval? has someone been in such a situation?

Yeah!!!well done))))congratulations, guys!!!!live your life happily:*
