Well… As you see in my topic… My fiance' was granted his K-1 Visa in June…. Went to London and the embassy looked over my Sponsorship papers and approved me. I had just started the job and only had a few weeks of pay stubs. NO PROBLEM…. Approved me as sponsor. So…. He gets his Visa the following week and he comes and we get married LOVELY…. I was in the middle of switching jobs again the week that we sent off for his AOS/ Travel / Work permit. I was staffed at both of my jobs by a temporary agency. I had fulfilled my 3 months with the first company and I had a decision I could stay there or quit…. I chose to find a different job. I gave my notice to my staffing agency (who did my weekly paycheck) and they said that they want me for another job that is also a "temp to hire" position. Over the 3 months I got to know the ladies and they opened a door for me to interview for a job that was a few dollars an hour more than I was making at the first place they found for me. I interviewed and was asked to work there. I agreed. So… That week I applied as my husbands sponsor I let them know my income… what I was making an hour and that I was going to be making more starting the next week. When I applied I was making $11.00 an hour and had proof that I was assigned 40 or more hours per week. I also had my divorce decree that I was making at least $300.00 a month in child support. I ALSO had a letter from my employer of the last 5 years stating that I make at least $200.00-$500.00 a month doing contract work for them. So….. If you add up all of these… I qualify as the sole sponsor. Well.. My new job was that following week and my starting pay was $14.00 per hour with at least 40 hours per week with over time as required. The letter I sent in was stating my pay and hours worked but said I was a "temporary" worker seeing i was a temp to hire. So….. after reading all of this… I was declined as his sponsor. They said I had to provide assets and so on……. which I don't have….. or get a joint sponsor. When I called asking why I was declined and told the gentleman my hourly wage and that I was a temp to hire… he said that I need to write a letter back to them to see if they can review it again. They could not tell me how much I was lacking….. that I had to prove.. I said is it 1 dollar or the 24 grand that I was supposed to prove… and he could not tell me how much…… So……. I have to provide 5 times above the poverty rank…. but they can't even tell me the amount. So… Has anyone been declined as a sponsor because they were working through a temp agency and they may not consider that a real job? I was hired on at the company IO was placed at on October 1st and was given an increase in wage as well (Praise God…. been a ROUGH year!) lol… So I sent in that I currently make well over the poverty guideline not including my child support and my earning I get doing contract work. Do you think they will decline me again seeing I was a temp worker when I applied? Any support or experiences that could help me through this would be appreciated. I am bitting at the nips over here for them to view everything at the National Benefits Center (wherever that is lol) …. and my husband REALLY needs to be able to work… Has anyone been declined as sponsor before then they come back and approve them without assets (money/property…ect) I have no money (since I have been the only one working now for 8 months) and been supporting 3 people…. and I own my house but it costs like 700 dollars for an appraisal… and it wont appraise but for like at the most 10 grand over what I owe on it…. I'm nauseous… ready for this to be over…. please help a sista' out! Thank you!!!!

i thopught i had replied but i dont see it…. um yeah in London the didnt ask em if i ever had chicken pox and when I saw the civil surgeon I told him ive had it before but he said i needed to get the shot the shot aint that expensive but i would rather not pay for it :/

where on the sheet should it say VH ?? Couldnt i just add it on myself ? or would that be too much of a risk ?

I dont recall her even asking me at my medical if i have had chicken pox before which i have had

hi my wife and I are about to send our AOS paperwork away but I had to go see a civil surgeon first to make sure all my shots were up to date. When I was in London I only had to get another 2 shots and thought i was excempt from the varicella shot as I am from the UK but when I went and saw the civil surgeon today he said that I need the shot or proof that I've had chicken pox before …….Can anyone tell me if I do need this shot or not ???

Our marriage license said John Morrison from my state and county... Rey asked where we was staying and I gave my address... For AOS does it need to have Scotland where he's from or Oklahoma where I'm from. They can't change original but they can change the certified copies I will receive. Did anyone else have America as where they were from on their marriage license when married on k1 visa?

Yep, they gonna send it via carrier with the passport. Be careful when you take the passport out.

So… I heard that once you are approved you get a packet that you are not allowed to open and you provide it to the boarder patrol once in America on your K1 Visa…. Does this get sent via the carrier with the passport or separate? Thanks for your help.

Well…. we were APPROVED I am so thrilled that this process is over and that in the next week or two we will be together without boundaries… That was my motto through this whole long distance relationship…. Love has no boundaries… I'm just so glad that soon we will be able to wake up every day next to each other and not have to worry about the other having to return home…. Sigh….. Relief! Thank you all for your support and your help on our process…. I will have John update how his interview went today and what questions they asked and so on… I just wanted to say a huge "thank you" to you all

So… now that our interview is approaching and we are having faith it is approved… we hear it takes up to 10 days to get the visa/passport sent back to you…. does anyone know can this be expedited? Im sure my fiance' will find out on Thursday but I'm biting at the nips thinking that we could be together next week Anyone from Scotland?? If so how long did it take for you to get your passport /visa returned to you after the interview? Thanks everyone …. I'm getting completely stoked!

you need to start posting in the UK forum. Obviously their consulate has different rules and regulations that most of us cannot answer.

So i hear now that If I do not have to be the sponsor for my UK fiance'. I thought that I didn't need to be if I had a sponsor who met the requirements. So……. With all the debatable answers I had my fiance call the embassy to make sure that I don't need a form filled out and when they asked about his sponsor they said It HAD to be a relative of me… I have never seen this anywhere that the sponsor had to be a relative… even on the instructions page of the i-134 it doesn't mention it has to be a relative to do the sponsorship… So.. anyone have someone else other than family be a sponsor? His interview is 3 days and he leaves in 2.. I can't courier him the new forms and bank information ect that is needed for the interview in time… We are really stresed… anyone… someone… please tell me that it doesn't have to be family Im heart broken and so very disappointed that I didn't see that anywhere… Any input will help us greatly.. you have to be the primary sponsor as the petitioner...im assuming you mean he is the co-sponsor?

What?? I was under the impression that for the I-134 that there could only be one sponsor and when we do the AOS that is when I can be the sponsor with a co-sponsor? Please tell me this is true…. I'm freaking out!!

I just have a couple questions about the i-134… My room mate is my fiance's sponsor… he has all the forms and bank records and such as required to be the sponsor.. I just want to make sure that I am not needing anything for his sponsorship seeing he has someone else to sponsor. I don't know the problems it will cause that I only worked part time last year and didn't meet the requirement for sponsorship.

Also… I am seeing that he is needing 3 passport photos (US sized) on British Expacts…. he got 2 US sized passport photos but has the other one he got in Scotland and is smaller sized… Will this be a problem?

4 days left…. getting nervous and very excited this long process is almost over ! Trusting in God for all the doors to be open and for them to say… "APPROVED"
