Sorry mispelled your names before.....Dan & Jenni

Do you have all your stuff sorted now? I am currently waiting to print some more skype stuff which I find difficult to print. I have to copy and paste our messages which doesn't even come off as skype and then the only things I have is sky calls and emails which I guess helps besides the photos.

  2. You made a mistake by not following the instructions London sent you, but you're not the first. The birth certificate was mailed to London, so it's in your file and will be fine for the interview. Point it out to the document lady organizing your papers for the interviewer.

Next question is did you make a photocopy of it? If no, then learn from your mistake and don't ever send anything off without having a photocopy for your records. If you have a photocopy, take it so they can file it and return your original after the interviewer verifies the original. They aren't really into doing photocopying for you so they may keep the original if you don't provide a photocopy for the file. Order a replacement for yourself for later down the road. You will be okay for the interview.

Thank you so much, I have been panicking!! I have all photocopies of everything, I have 3 photocopies of my birth cert. I am always very well organised for this kinda of thing lol. I just never found where it said "don't send any documents with these forms". I have all the steps printed out where it says send all the forms in as you will be delayed otherwise, something like that, so I just followed what was written on all forms. I honestly, thought I was doing it correctly and that I would recieve all my documents at the interview. I am sure I am not the first one to make this mistake. I will have to ring Monday or else I am going to crazy thinking about it. Ugh I feel so stupid :bonk:

  3. Thanks for the advice, except thank God I have already been to this Embassy several times before and I am in there records. I have been because I worked and studied in University in the States, hence how I met my fiance. They also know I am not orignally arab, I am fully English just born in a different country because of dads work. I have always thankfully been inssued my visa and sent back my passport within a matter of 3 to 5 days which is also great. I am not worried about that. Thanks anyways

  4. Hi need help please. I sent my original birth certificate that was required for one of the forms for the K1 visa. I have my interview date and I recieved the confirmation letter but non of my original forms were sent back with it. It says on the embassy website that you are required to bring your original birth certificate. What do I do? call them or will the immigration unit in London return my certificate before the interview? Has anyone had or have this problem? :help:

  5. Similar for us. Medical took place on 30 September, interview date came through for 17 Nov (which is today and it was approved  ) so approximately 6 weeks from medical date. I called the Embassy 1 week after my medical and they advised that they had all my documents but hadn't processed them yet and advised me to call back in two more weeks. I left it one week and called back and they confirmed it had all been processed and gave me my interview date over the phone, I paid the $350 there and then and got the email confirmation etc within a few mins. The letter landed a couple of days later. Good luck and hang in there, it'll happen soon for you.

AWWW congratulations  !!!! I pray mine comes quickly now. Its been a week since my medical and I think I will do what you did and call them next week to see what they say. Its been nearly 3 weeks since I sent my papers, but obviously, they only process them when they recieve the medical results.

  6. Thanks for the responses, I've looked at the guides and people's timelines, but am going a little crazy since we're sooooo FLIPPIN close!!!

Just thought I'd ask to see if anyone knew... but it looks like anywhere from 2-6 weeks... just wondering for the holidays, ya know??

    Keri

UGH i know what you mean......I can't bear it if I wasn't there for Christmas with my fiance. It would be so awful :( . Yeah I have checked all the timelines and its all 2 - 6 weeks. I know what you mean when you say its so close because it really is!!!!! When did you do your medical? I did mine last Friday.

  7. Hey Cutek1320 I am in the same position as you too. I did my medical and now waiting for the Embassy to send me a letter for my interview date. I am so impatient lol now and I have no idea when it will happen. Some people say when you receive the letter, it will take a month until the interview date but looking at the timeline, its all mixed. One says a month, the other got theres within 2 weeks. So who knows!
