Thanks guys. We got the visa issued finally. As you may all be aware that we attended the interview in May. But were issued 221G for want of some more documents. We provided them on 11th and got the visa on 19th.

Will write the full experience in a couple of days.

Got the interview intimation and it is scheduled on 15th May in Mumbai Consulate. Received the packet 4 directly.

Though the PCCs have been submitted more than a year ago, they have not asked anything now. But for safety side, I have taken the PCCs last month.

Need to undergo medical examination before that.

guys give call to nvc, your pd is current....and nvc started scheduling appointments from yesterday...seen 2-3 people from f2a forum got appointment .

so check your inbox and if there is no a/l then giv call to nvc

I have collected the PCC from Passport Office and the Commissioner Office PCC. That is what is needed from our side apart from I-864 from the petitioner for 2011

Vicky, Please do not forgot to mentioned the document requested by NVC. So i can start collecting document for next month interivew.

My PD is 05-Jan-2001

Now my PD is current. As yet no information on interview. I will keep the forum updated once I receive it.

Yes Kishore. Rightly said. I am Nov 24, 2000 case F4. Another couple of days in the next VB is going to come, but still no interview information. Could be that there is some change the way they intimate the interview. Let us hope it is for the best.

I had looked for all category post for last few days and no one getting interview letter yet.

So wait until VB is released.

NVC still says, the visa number is not available. Seems PD may not move much this month.

Yes. When I called NVC, even they were saying still processing cases upto Nov 8.

So most probably, I may miss interview in May. Now hoping for interview in June.

It means,We can expect one month movement for upcoming visa bulletin.

Yousuf and Vicky , I think you both will get interview letter in June.

I am also expect the same as my PD is 05-Jan-2001.

My PD is 24 Nov 2000. Even I do not have any intimation about interview so far. Called up NVC, but there is no update from them.

Call DOS - 202-663-1225 (press 1 then 0 to speak with a visa specialist)..you should have an update..

No intimation of visa interview date so far. Eagerly waiting. No intimation on medical either. Hope medical will come alongwith interview intimation.

Thanks Kishor. Actually even I have not been asked for PCC stuff though my PD is in Nov 2000. But anyway I almost have collected the PCCs this month so that I will be ready this time.

my pd is 5 Jan 2001.

I am not sure to get appointment within a month or two because i did not asked to get latest PCC or any other document.

I will keep you updated for my interview call for upcoming months.

It can not be true. My PD is 24 Nov 2000. File was documentarily completed in Dec 2010. Due to retrogression, we are still waiting for information and interview schedule from NVC/Mumbai Consulate. Now the current PD is only 8 Oct 2000. So we need to wait still one more month for the next process.

I have not seen any such news in India. Also just because people can argue with embassy, one cannot get interview schedule. That goes accordint to established law and strictly as per Priority Date.

I wanted to share some info that i received from india and was not sure if this was true.. Wanted to see if anyone can confirm.

1st was that it looks like the Immigration in india are going to be opening up all the cases that are complete and on hold due to the retro that moved back 2 years and start expediting the cases. This was in the paper in india and i found out from my cousins. It looks like a lot of people argues with the indian embassy about this and they all took action.

2nd was that it looks like they are giving visa to people who had or are waiting on their interview call. They are receiving their interview calls and getting the visa but they are saying that this visa is not valid until 2 years. After 2 years you can go to usa. Not sure if this is true and to me this does not make sense.

Wanted to throw this out there to see what you your feedback were.

What Suvro has raised is a interesting question. Basically I also had the same doubt when I initiated this query in the forum.

Regarding UK Police Clearance Certificate : Is it still necessary ? Because I lived there in 2008 and for that I had already submitted the PCCs from UK. Thereafter I did not visit UK.

Also I had covered till last year with respect to PCCs while filing Visa Application. So do I need to cover from last year to till date or is it again from the age of sixteen?

Just to clarify. As you said, my PD is Nov 2000 and case completed on Dec 2010. Correct.

But I am still waiting for the Interview schedule from Mumbai Consulate. As on now, it is still 4 months to go. If it moves one month every month, definitely it is going to take another 4 months. So around Feb 2012, I would like to go for new PCCs again.

If you analyze the visa bulletin data for the last 10 years, Right now NVC is making sure they are covering any pending/remaining filers by moving the PD every month, but actually they have already finished processing cases till Nov 2000, we can take the example of vicky123, wherein case is completed by Dec 2010 for a PD Nov 2000..My inference from this analysis should confirm your guess..

True,Based on the cut off dates, NVC should actually process cases from Feb 2002 onwards to come back to Pr-retrogression timeline.

Yes, you have to resubmit, as the validity of these documents are only for one year..

I would like to know a little bit about Police Clearance Certificates.

My case is as follows:

PD : Nov 2000

Case Completed in Dec 2010

Category : F4

Consulate: Mumbai

After retrogression, the Priority date is fast approaching and now my PD is only around 4 months away from PD.

My question is:

I submitted PCC the following during file completion

1. Passport Office

2. Commissioner's Office

3. PCC from United Kingdom (because we lived in UK for 1 year during 2008)

Now my question is whether I need to submit all the above mentioned PCCs once the PD becomes current.
