  1. Hi everyone, my fiance got his K-1 visa approved today. We are going to get married and apply for adjustment of status. We are planning to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon right after applying for adjustment of status. My fiance was told my an immigration officer today that it is strongly advised that we dont fly to hawaii while waiting for adjustment of status because sometimes flights to Hawaii are diverted to Canada. This sounds absurd to me but has anyone ever heard of this or has any experience with this? We are planning to fly to Hawaii from L.A. so I cant imagine our flight getting diverted to any other country. Am I wrong? Thanks much!

  2. Thank you so much for your e-mails! My fiance e-mailed them and they responded the next day with a new interview date in January that works. Hes actually interviewing for medical residency positions and the job doesn't start until July 2012. So that should be OK right? We are planning to get married end of January so we should have our EAD and adjustment of status by July 2012.

  3. Hello, my fiance received his interview date in the mail. However, he will be in the U.S. on that date for a job interview. They london embassy website says to call to reschedule interview. We called today but they said they cannont change the interview date and that we should e-mail them instead to change the date? Does anyone have experience with this? I thought the embassy automatically deletes e-mails.

Also, since our interview date will be past the expiration of our NOA2 form, I am going to write a letter of my intent to marry my fiance. Do you know if this letter needs to be notarized?

Thank you so much for your help!

  4. Hi, I filed an I129F petition for my fiance who is a resident and citizen of the United Kingdom. I received my NAO2, which is valid until December 11, 2011. My fiance is still assembling the documentation required for the interview and he will not be able to schedule his interview at the U.S. embassy in London until January of 2012. Do I need to mail a Request to Extend Approval of I-129f to the U.S. embassy in London before December 11? If so, is there a sample Request that someone can post?

    Thanks much!
