We've been waiting a week for the arrival of our visa...and been tracking the DHL site

So today the site said "ARRIVED AT SORT FACILITY CAIRO-EGYPT" .....then it wrote "PROCESSED AT CAIRO-EGYPT"

does any one know what that means ???? and when do we expect our passport ???????

Yes, the co-sponsor can be anywhere in the USA.

Yes, you can change your address at interview. I'd double check at POE that they have the correct address.

What's POE ??????

I think that's it the Affidavit and tax returns

and from sending the affidavit till my hubby's interview took 2 monthes ...

Hello my fiance picks up her packet tomarow at embassy and I need to send her the affidavit of support. I need to know besides tax returns and les's what else do I need to send along with the affidavit? I am active duty military and have been for 17 years. Also how long will the interview date be now? Thank you

AFter I sent in my choice of agent forms for my children, I recieved a email from NVC with somebody eles details and a completely different number on it?? They didn't seem at all concerned by that when my husband called. So I wonder, how many of us are getting other peoples personal information and how much of our personal information is being sent around the world?

I don't think that's a common mistake........Just send them an E-mail with the correct details

We were making our plans on going North Carolina so we talked to a friend of ours to be joint sponsor to my husband in North Carolina

now we changed our plans to going to Houston TX ..........Can the joint sponsor be in another state ?

Also we wrote in the I-130 the address that we want the Green Card to be mailed to us in North Carolina

In our interview can we change it to our address in Houston ???????

Hey I filed for my canadian citizen wife for a I-130 in November. Got NOA1 on November 14th and today got the approval in the mail with decision on December 15th, 2011.

Our wedding reception is in July of 2012 in NY.

Asking fellow VJers, when do you think NVC would get my case and after my lawyer completes all my paperwork, when should i be looking at a estimated interview date. Is it advised that I should go to interview with her because we got married in Niagara on the 28th of October and filed for the case two weeks after. It could trigger something. Please let me know.

in my case the NVC got my file after a month........wish u'r time is shorter

i think u should get your interview date after 2 or 3 months if every thing goes fine on the NVC

The interview thing.....You don't have to go ...........but I have to tell u it's recommended

Now we are talking about how no one from Novemeber has gotten their visa yet. and they were told they would get them in 1-2 weeks.

I went through the last 3 years of all interviews in Egypt (IF THEY HAVE A COMPLETED TIMELINE)and this is all the date I found. You will see how long each person was put in AP or had to wait for the visa

was wondering after how many days after interview will my husband gets his visa?????

Go to the cairo embassy website and read what their procedures are or email/call them ( whatever works best) for the information. better still check out the egypt regional forum here...chances are someone else's experience will better guide you.

We recently received my interview letter (package 4) scheduled on January 30.

This was written

( Some Embassies/Consulates reschedule interview appointments themselves; others utilize an outside service

provider to reschedule appointments. To determine the proper procedure for rescheduling the applicant's interview

appointment, please go to the Department of State's web site at: www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov, click the

"Prepare for your visa interview abroad" link, and read the US Embassy/Consulate information on page (4)

entitled "Embassy/Consulate General-Specific Interview Guidelines." If the Embassy/Consulate does not have

any specific interview guidelines listed, you should contact the Embassy/Consulate directly to reschedule the

applicant's interview. )

My Question: Can Cairo Embassy reschedule our interview date???? after the NVC Scheduled it..

I heard that cases completed on august are getting their interviews now in Cairo

My case was completed on 21st October

isn't there any hope to have my interview in January like most cases??????

I just submitted DS-230 to the NVC. I am on EP. What kind of time frame should I expect from now?

Don't look for flights now even though your almost done

it takes the nvc around a week or sth to complete case

and then you'll wait for your interview around month or 2 since the china embassy isn't crowded

I got my case complete on 21st november and waiting for interview in Cairo but it seems that it's crowded it can take around 4 or 5 months

Currently egyptians.with an end of august case complete date are still waiting for interview date. It was a 6 month wait. Now it seems they are at a 4 month wait for spouse interviews. I am hoping they will start being a less than 3 month wait soon. Good luck

I'm sponsoring my husband for cr1 visa i'm US citizen do I have to be the sponsor because I'm the petitioner

I have been living outside the US for 11 years and I'm planning on traveling with my husband once he gets the visa I dont have income in US nor tax transcripts

I applied for my husband for cr1 visa (i'm US citizen) and i post mailed the AOS and recently received a request for evidence for a copy of the joint sponsors US passport (it's only one paper) can I e-mail it?? or do I have to post mail it i'm not in the countries that are allowed to e-mail the forms but it's only one paper and I post mailed the AOS package.
