I believe the airport fee is Php 550 ( just reduced from Php 750)
Passport/visa and airline ticket should do it. Sounds like all is good to go.
Thank you so much!

My mom is coming over. I just want to know what she needs for travel aside from the b2 visa and ticket ofcourse. Just the travel tax or are there anything else she needs to do first?

My mom was just approved yesterday for a tourist visa! I came here in the US just last December and I am 8 months pregnant now! Mom said it was just so smooth, she wasn't asked for any ties. She was just asked for the purpose and who is gonna pay for her expenses. Then booom! We asked the help of our state's senate and congress though, I don't have any idea if it helped because when my mom was asked about the purpose, aside from telling that "I was invited by my son-in-law..." she added that she also has a letter of support from the Senate and Congress and the CO just told her, "I don't need them." I don't know if the CO knew about the letters already. Then the CO said, "Tourist visa is only for 6 months. Okay, you may go now!" Wohooooooo! <3 I'm from the Philippines, btw.
To those who will PM or reply here and ask me more about the details, I'm not sure if I can get back to you asap as I'm pretty busy already. I'm just writing a reply now to encourage those who are wishing to bring their moms to the US for few months for the baby. Most of all, PRAY PRAY PRAY! I think we've been praying for it everyday for two months!!! God bless you all!

I'm here in US already! Arrived the other day. Keeping you all in my prayers!

that's confidential. only the senate knows that.

Husband's senate and congress office helped a lot. The Senate emailed directly the Consular Officer Nov 28 (not the visa inquiry unit anymore) and pushed our case because what they were doing was not right. They received an email from the embassy at around 10pm (Phil Time) so the embassy must be really working hard on our papers.

I read a story of a couple of the same thing. He had his Congress and Senate involved and a lawyer. After 3weeks of denial notice, the fiance received a call that she will have her second interview. The petitioner flew back to the Philippines to be with her on the second interview, and right there and then, the visa was given. Don't lose hope. They were also in K1. God bless you!

Sis, I was instructed to go to window 70 the day after my final interview with the CO... It's true, I was clearly advised that our application is denied but they are performing another review on our case after my fiance made an appeal via calls and emails... I hope we will be heard... But I really don't trust them anymore... This immigration stuff put me in serious depression... I just can't take it anymore... I am just going to wait for my fiance and we will get married here...
I'm so sorry about that There are happy and sad stories in Window 70. I will keep you guys updated about tom. God bless!

Sis I was also instructed to go to that window 70, after that they took me to FPU room for another interview the same day after my final interview and made me sign a sworn statement regarding my children birth cert issue. After the interview, they told me to wait for their call... Our case is back to review status as of today and I'm praying and hoping that they will reconsider our case and reverse the decision cause clearly, we dont see any reason for them to deny us..
I'm confused. I saw in your status yesterday that you were denied. What happened? When did they ask you to go to Window 70?

Called the embassy a while ago. Actually, it was my husband who called first and was told that they have been trying to reach me so I called. I was asked to go back to the US Embassy this Friday, November 25, Window 70. I am thinking this is a second interview. Idk if the same officer but the window I was last time was window 60.
Before all of these, we asked help from the Congress and the Congress got fed up with what happened to us because she's been helping us since USCIS stage, since January. And thankfully, they schedule me right away because the Congress emailed the officer directly, she cannot take it what the embassy were doing to us.
Anyone who has the same experience?

Called USEm today, was told that the case was referred to a CO last Nov 14, and by Nov 18, the CO sent back to review unit to verify on something. Idk anymore I hope it's not something bad if it's sent back to the review unit. Prayers to you all too!

The nightmare started because of the CO's ignorance about SkypeMe... ...then went to the FPU... ...and now it's back on the CO's desk waiting for approval... ...what a story!!!
After going through all of that, you deserve your visa malapit na!!!
This is really sad for both of us. I went through 6months medication in St Luke's and it even ran through 7months because they won't release the patient right away. During the treatment, my husband visited me because I was really down that time and it was almost one year since we were apart. So he came to visit me to spend our first wedding anniversary together. My case in St Luke's wasn't a bad one. I consulted other pulmonologist but they only consider their own pulmonologists. During my husband's visit, I got pregnant. And I thought all these delays will be all over now, but they did this to us
Thanks Tahoma! I hope the embassy can be very careful who to send files for review.

Thank you! God bless you!

Oh, we figured that it was the pre-screener because when my husband inquired about the status being sent for review, the one who answered told us about the pre-screener's notes. I think that was a mistake on her part to tell that because the next time my husband called, he was told that she cannot disclose any information as to why it was sent for review.
-
Hi was there anything Unusual about what the prescreener asked ? How do you know she wrote bad notes on you? Thanks! and Good Luck!
She doubted what I told her that we first talk in Skype. She said there's no way two strangers can talk in Skype. I said no, it's possible but she said she's been using Skype for a long time already and didn't know about that. I want to explain further but she just proceeded to her next question. So, I think that was it. I also asked my husband how did it all happen. He said that we were both in SkypeMe status that time and unfortunately Skype removed SkypeMe already, maybe that's why she said she has no idea what I was talking about. SkypeMe still exists in Mac and older versions of Skype though. After a week, we found out that our case was sent to FPU, we were so surprised, so my husband contacted the Congress and Senate in his state for help since they've been helping us since USCIS. Then my husband sent an email to FPU expressing his disappointments (it was put nicely) and gave more information about us and sent our websites before and after our wedding since we were able to make a website on our own. We were both into computers so that made it possible. Right there and then, the case was pulled out from FPU, the Congress and Senate was cc-ed in that email also. And it was sent to review to immigrant visa unit and they finalized it. And my husband just talked to the one of the representatives in Embassy, she was very familiar about our case and she didn't even bother to ask the case number, what she had was my husband's name and she was able to pull the information right away. So, previously she said, the case was forwarded to the CO since last week but because of the loads they have, she referred it again to the CO last Nov 14 and said that it is already for final approval by the CO. I hope it comes next week already. And I hope the CO will take time to look at it very soon.
-
11 working days have passed and still nothing Is it enough time already? We were told to follow-up yesterday but my husband can't get a hold of them. The last update we heard from them was last Tuesday and that our case was, the immigrant visa unit has finished reviewing our case and it is now at the CO's desk but because of the loads they have right now, the CO wasn't able to look at it yet so we are told to call back Thursday (which is yesterday) to find out if there's a result already but can't get in. We will try today. I just hope we will be together for Thanksgiving which is next week.

I was in a hurry posting this. Anyway, here's my story:
Had my interview last Oct 28. No documents were asked but I received a white paper (221g) that says "wait until..." We just didn't expect this though We found out that the one triggered this to AP were the notes that the pre-screener left on me. Our case is in congressional expedite now but why is it taking long? I am almost 6months pregnant btw. I just hope it comes very soon.
Thanks Tahoma for pushing me to share

Actually, mine is pending review by the consular officer since Nov. 03...
so near yet so far what the officer needs to do is to review the notes from the immigrant unit if they reviewed it well and sign it, done! but my husband was told that there were so backlog that's why it's taking long for the officer to look it up. who interviewed you? what window? our case was pending for review to the officer since last nov 8.

bump...
to all... all they tell you is just it is in review? cos when my husband inquired about mine, he was told that it was forwarded to the consul already, so maybe you can try to inquire specifically on the status. hope we'll hear very soon
