I konw that there are mores steps but im confuse with the process. I read that if she lives in the us I have to file I485 but in her case she is in Peru. When I suppose to send the affidavit of support and more evidence, I need to wait the letter for nvc or my mother are going to receive a package from embassy?

What have you done so far about the process? The I-130 will be approved but now there are more steps to go. Let me know what else have you done. I am in the same situation as you. I am from Brazil and I am bringing my mother to the US. I am waiting to receive (if I ever receive it) the Affidavit Of Support packet in the mail.

Also in question 17 (list husband and children of your relative) when they said children refers to underage children or all the children regardless of his age? In our case we pick up the visa 3 days later.

Looks like a few of us are waiting then, cos Im in the same boat!. I mailed my RFE back 27th feb and I still have not heard anything to say they have recieved it, just the post office tracking number that it was delivered.

At the same time I had to send off the forms to let them know I had changed address. I have had a reply to those already so I know that is ok.

Hopefully we will all hear something soon so we can stop worrying.

In my case we sent a RFE's and never received an email or anything to confirm that they received it. I called several times to the 800 and no one knows. After 2 months we received our interview date and we are approved. Sometimes they updated and others don't. Good luck to you all!

But my question is how should write that in the form? because it only provides a space for one job, anyone knows ?

Hi,

With my son's and my AOS interview notification we received a separate note that starts: "Notice to Applicant: If you have ever been arrested or detained by any law officer for any reason, you must bring the following for your adjustment of status interview." and then lists different situations and the documents that are required for each of these situations.

It looks like an standard note and nothing is highlighted on it or checked on it. We have never been arrested and my son is only 9 years old, but I would like to know if some other people received this note. We are adjusting in Miami.

We are doing the AOS process in San Juan and my husband received the same notification, I think is a standard procedure.

I dont think there is much you can do if the local office is not helping you... you could contact your local congressman and ask for their help... it may be all it takes to get you a new date....

Our AOS interview suppose to be on October 25, 2006 But one of the immigration’s supervisor of our Office (San Juan) told us and to a group of 5 couples too that they have problems with their personal (some of them are sick) so they can't perform the interview that day and they sent us home. Since late November we're trying to find out our new interview date. Called customer service several times and no one know anything about our case. Make and info pass two days ago and the officer told us our case is still pending, when I inquired about and estimate interview date she told us maybe on late February. I’m continuing arguing the supervisor told us when our interview was cancel that the new date is going to be in December. The officer gave us a form to make a complaint directly to the supervisor about our case, stamped it and told us if we doesn’t have an interview date by the end of February came with this form. What else should I do? It's been two months, we have plans to travel on our anniversary the next April and also she told us the Advanced Parole takes 6 months:angry:. We are desperate, any suggestions please?

Hi guys, I have a problem. My husband and I had our interview on 10/25/06. Yes the certificate needs to be translate you can do it as other VJs member said, works fine. Don't worry we have the same problem than you, we forgot to include the birth certificate and received a referral two months ago, sent the paper quickly and our process continues without problems.
