  1. Hello Everybody,

We finally got the Green Card this week. But now we have a huge concern. My wife got her SSN and Driver License with the Married last name. But we got the Green Card with her Maiden name. We went to the Social Security Office and told them that want to change her SSN to the Maiden name, but they told us that we need to change the Green Card name in order to her have a Valid SSN.

We are not sure what to do, I dont think is fair to pay 400 dlls for the I-90 form to change her name. Do you think this was a USCIS error?

    Any comments? or Suggestions.

    Thanks,

    George

  2. I didn't had any interview yet. We did go with a Civil Surgeon and they filled out the I-693 and I sent it in the sealed enveloped. After that my status changed to "Card/ Document Production"...thinking that there was no further action for me. But suddenly it came back to RFE, that is why It was confused for me.

Thank you for your response :)

  3. Hello Everybody.

At March 1st my status in USCIS was changed to "Request for Evidence" 15 days after I called the Customer Service Center because the letter had not been delivered yet. They opened a new case to re-send me the letter.

But strangely March 19th my status changed to "Card/Document Production", that I will get the card in the next 30 days. So I was really surprised, because they did not waited for Evidence to be sent.

And today I just received the RFE letter, asking for the I-693 form regarding some vaccinations missing.

So I am confused, is the Green Card on the way? Should I still need to send that RFE? Can somebody help me please.

    Thanks!

  4. Only past year is mandatory, the last 3 is optional (if I recall correctly, that is what the form itself says). Most send the 3 years, and it would be best if you add a couple of lines to note why you cannot.

Thank you for your quick response. I had the concern because the form comes with a check box that says:

"I have filed a Federal tax return for each of the three most recent tax years."

And I only have it for the last year.

    Thanks!

  5. Hello Everybody,

For the I-864 Affidavit of Support, it requires the income for the last 3 years of Tax. I have been working only the last year in the U.S. so I just have my Tax return information for the last year (2010).

Do you think it will be a problem if I only send 1 year of Tax return Information? Or I need to send them an explanation?

I appreciate your feedback. Thank you.
