So I didn't receive my biometrics yet, and now I actually just moved from California to Texas. I just moved a few days ago and my husband and I are looking for an apartment, we're staying at a friend's house... Which means we don't have an address yet. Can I give the friend's address as a temporary one? I see that some of you who, like me, were waiting for a long time, are now getting their appointments. I wonder what happens if I'm scheduled for biometrics in California? Can I reschedule my appointment for another State? We're having the mail forwarded to my husband's mom so it might be that I received the letter, finally, but it takes a while to get forwarded.
I'm so pissed, folks... I've been waiting for 3 months for this biometrics and now the timing just plain sucks

This is crazy. Did anyone manage to get any response as of why we still didn't get our biometrics appointment letters?
NO. Because if you ask they only tell you to submit a service request and when they replied to the service request they only said "
We are unfortunately experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice for this process. Please know that your name has been electronically added to the appointment scheduler. You will receive an ASC appointment notice by mail once an appointment date has been established for you.

I sent a service request via email and I also called, but basically it's the same thing. On the phone all they would say is they can submit a service request.

Most of the April filers already got biometrics app. Not sure whats causing delay for March filers?
I know! It's ridiculous!
-
Anyway, seems like the April filers are getting their biometrics appointments!!!!! I wonder what the heck is going on! It's weirding me out now (besides annoying me )
-
hi, which number did you call? am going through the same situation,, I called 800-375-5283 today but they didn't give me any info,, they said they made a service request and I will be contacted within 30 days to answer my inquiry !!!
same here! they just made a service request..15 to 30 days, well thanks, that was very useful lol.

I got bored of waiting so I called USCIS and put in a service request for my late biometrics. They said I'll hear something in the next month via mail or email so I guess I'll keep on waiting lol
same here...I called the other day and put in a service request. I am a little worried because next month I'll have to move to another state. But they told me worst case I can call and reschedule, so whatever at this point... it's just crazy it's taking so long for all of the March filers!

I need to change my NOA date. But I'n not sure how to update the file. the receipt date printed on the paper is 03/24 and not 27 (that is the date I received it in the mail). Thanks
ps: still no biometrics appointment!!!
-
I called USCIS today because its been 32 days since I got my NOA1. I still havent had my biometrics appointment letter. They said to just wait. I'll give it a week and then I'll call back and ask for a Tier 2.
what is a Tier 2?

I didn't receive my appointment notice yet, I think I'm going to call on Monday...how do I contact the California service Center?
-
Give it another week or so, If you don't hear or get anything in the mail then call!
-
I was going to, but for what I'm seeing on the file above no one who filed in that week has received an appointment yet. they're probably just being slow at the CSC
-
The California Service Center is being freaking slow... sent my application on March 23, It's been a month now and I still don't have an appointment for biometrics. Now I'm growing nervous because I'm moving to Texas and leaving California in June. Hopefully my bio appointment is going to be before that
-
I'm getting error too but I'm using the receipt number on the 1st NOA. I just read that you have to enter the receipt number on the biometric appointment note, so too soon for me I guess.

I just checked, yes that office is a tax assistance center..I'll try and go there... thanks!

Are you trying to get your 2014 transcript? If you filed online the transcript is available about 2 weeks after you file. If you filed by paper then it could take up to 8 weeks.
If you have access to a fax machine you could call the IRS and have them fax it to you. Also if you have a taxpayer assistance center best by they can assist you and give you a transcript on the spot.
I was actually able to reach the page with the transcripts, but it wouldn't let me download them, like it was some website problem. (it showed the 2014 trascript too) I tried many times, everytime it's some error, or technical error or won't accept our data. We're just having problem with that stupid site. I gave up! I'll try and see if there is an assistance center...I know there's an IRS office downtown, is it the same thing?
-
Not sending the transcript may result in RFE. But if you absolutely can't get it on time then send all the documents that are relevant to your tax return such as 1040, W2 etc. I didn't know this information and I just sent print out of 1040 from turbo tax. Now I am waiting for my RFE to arrive while others are waiting for their approval
We went to H&R block for our tax return and we have a whole package of the whole return, form 1040..and all that. I sent that last time for the adjustment of status and it went ok. It shows that we did the tax return jointly, isn't that what they want to know?
-
Hello hello!
I am about to sent the package out but for some reason I am not able to get the tax transcripts from the IRS website (keeps on resulting in error..I'm just giving up!!) and I won't get them in time if I order them via phone or else. Can I still send the copies of the regular tax returns? Which pages? Thanks!
-
I asked because The sample cover letter for the 1-751 package, that you can find on this site, is written by the petitioner, it got me a little confused.
-
Hi everyone!
Back on this forum after 2 years of Green Card!! Time to remove those conditions!
We're putting together the 1-751 package which we'll send out at the end of March. First of all dumb question: should be me (the immigrant) filing it or my husband (the petitioner)?
Back in topic: my husband has millitary orders so we're moving to another state in June (mid-end June most likely). I think I'll be in time to have my biometrics here in California (they are usually a month after they receive the package, right?), but we don't have the new address yet and we won't until we will be in the new city and actually find a place. Is everything going to be alright? What if they send some notifications or RFE? I'm thinking of sending copy of the orders with the package, and of course we will communicate the new address as soon as we have one.Any advice?
Thanks!

Hello everyone!
I finally got my (temporary) Green Card!!! Also I just got a job (yay!) and I'm required to fill out form I-9 to establish my eligibility to work in the United States. Which document should I use now? I received a Work Authorization Card a while ago, but now that I have a Green Card I should use it as a work permit right?
Thank you
Barb

ok, thanks! I feel better. I really do't need to waste money on a civil surgeon right now!

Hello everyone!
I just got the letter with the date of my AOS interview. The letter lists the documents I have to bring with me at the interview, including form I-693 and vaccination supplement in sealed envelope "(unless already submitted)".
Now, since I already had a medical examination, including vaccinations, for the K-1 Visa less than a year ago, I only sent the copy of DS 3025 with the I-485 package, and I never received a RFE. Am I good to go (would this be considered as " already submitted")? Or should I see a civil surgeon and get the I-693?
Thanks!

The same happened to me. I called one day at the end of June and they told me I had an appointment for July 7th. The problem was I had just moved to Texas from California!! I never received the letter either. I forwarded the mail to my mother in law and she never received it, this means they never sent it or it got lost...but since you also didn't receive it, seemes like they messed up in sending out the letters...
Anyway, I solved everything going to an application center here in the new city of residence and they let me take the biometrics the same day.
For the update: my biometrics was July 1st.
Ps: I called the customer service a few times and everyone just tell you different things. A couple of operators I talked to were really incompetent too, It was unbelivable!!
