  1. If you guys are still waiting for biometrics, keep calling them. I made probably 10 calls so far and each person told me something different. Today I talked to probably the only person that actually checked my case and apparently I was scheduled for Biometrics for July 6th but I never got the letter! So obviously I missed it. They will be re-scheduling me now... So frustrating. Wondering how much longer will my approval take thanks to this delay... :(

The same happened to me. I called one day at the end of June and they told me I had an appointment for July 7th. The problem was I had just moved to Texas from California!! I never received the letter either. I forwarded the mail to my mother in law and she never received it, this means they never sent it or it got lost...but since you also didn't receive it, seemes like they messed up in sending out the letters...

Anyway, I solved everything going to an application center here in the new city of residence and they let me take the biometrics the same day.

For the update: my biometrics was July 1st.

Ps: I called the customer service a few times and everyone just tell you different things. A couple of operators I talked to were really incompetent too, It was unbelivable!!

  2. So I didn't receive my biometrics yet, and now I actually just moved from California to Texas. I just moved a few days ago and my husband and I are looking for an apartment, we're staying at a friend's house... Which means we don't have an address yet. Can I give the friend's address as a temporary one? I see that some of you who, like me, were waiting for a long time, are now getting their appointments. I wonder what happens if I'm scheduled for biometrics in California? Can I reschedule my appointment for another State? We're having the mail forwarded to my husband's mom so it might be that I received the letter, finally, but it takes a while to get forwarded.

I'm so pissed, folks... I've been waiting for 3 months for this biometrics and now the timing just plain sucks :ranting:

  3. This is crazy. Did anyone manage to get any response as of why we still didn't get our biometrics appointment letters?

NO. Because if you ask they only tell you to submit a service request and when they replied to the service request they only said "

We are unfortunately experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice for this process. Please know that your name has been electronically added to the appointment scheduler. You will receive an ASC appointment notice by mail once an appointment date has been established for you.
  4. I got bored of waiting so I called USCIS and put in a service request for my late biometrics. They said I'll hear something in the next month via mail or email so I guess I'll keep on waiting lol

same here...I called the other day and put in a service request. I am a little worried because next month I'll have to move to another state. But they told me worst case I can call and reschedule, so whatever at this point... it's just crazy it's taking so long for all of the March filers!

  5. Are you trying to get your 2014 transcript? If you filed online the transcript is available about 2 weeks after you file. If you filed by paper then it could take up to 8 weeks.

If you have access to a fax machine you could call the IRS and have them fax it to you. Also if you have a taxpayer assistance center best by they can assist you and give you a transcript on the spot.

I was actually able to reach the page with the transcripts, but it wouldn't let me download them, like it was some website problem. (it showed the 2014 trascript too) I tried many times, everytime it's some error, or technical error or won't accept our data. We're just having problem with that stupid site. I gave up! I'll try and see if there is an assistance center...I know there's an IRS office downtown, is it the same thing? :huh2:

  6. Not sending the transcript may result in RFE. But if you absolutely can't get it on time then send all the documents that are relevant to your tax return such as 1040, W2 etc. I didn't know this information and I just sent print out of 1040 from turbo tax. Now I am waiting for my RFE to arrive while others are waiting for their approval :(

We went to H&R block for our tax return and we have a whole package of the whole return, form 1040..and all that. I sent that last time for the adjustment of status and it went ok. It shows that we did the tax return jointly, isn't that what they want to know?

  7. Hi everyone!

Back on this forum after 2 years of Green Card!! Time to remove those conditions!

We're putting together the 1-751 package which we'll send out at the end of March. First of all dumb question: should be me (the immigrant) filing it or my husband (the petitioner)?
Back in topic: my husband has millitary orders so we're moving to another state in June (mid-end June most likely). I think I'll be in time to have my biometrics here in California (they are usually a month after they receive the package, right?), but we don't have the new address yet and we won't until we will be in the new city and actually find a place. Is everything going to be alright? What if they send some notifications or RFE? I'm thinking of sending copy of the orders with the package, and of course we will communicate the new address as soon as we have one.

    Any advice?

    Thanks!

  8. Hello everyone!

I finally got my (temporary) Green Card!!! Also I just got a job (yay!) and I'm required to fill out form I-9 to establish my eligibility to work in the United States. Which document should I use now? I received a Work Authorization Card a while ago, but now that I have a Green Card I should use it as a work permit right?

    Thank you

    Barb

  9. Hello everyone!

I just got the letter with the date of my AOS interview. The letter lists the documents I have to bring with me at the interview, including form I-693 and vaccination supplement in sealed envelope "(unless already submitted)".

Now, since I already had a medical examination, including vaccinations, for the K-1 Visa less than a year ago, I only sent the copy of DS 3025 with the I-485 package, and I never received a RFE. Am I good to go (would this be considered as " already submitted")? Or should I see a civil surgeon and get the I-693?

    Thanks! :)
