My husband has been under AP for 17 months at isb embassy. Is this normal?:'( I have my aunts husband as the sponsor for my husband on his affidavit of support so could this be the cause of the delay?

Its depends at embassy end for why they put them in AP for long. Many factors belonging like past traveling,common name for AP. What was the interview result at ISB by CO at last ? did you check with state of department for your case?

We filed in July 2010 and due to heavy load of petitions they transferred 35000 petitions to Texas services center from California center, most petitions were approved in 7 months approximately. Don’t worry you are still in time line just pray for good, Best of luck!

puma77 - Yes my fiance was on AP and there was a error on a form they ask for, so they him his case was approve once he resend the form. While they wait for him to send it they will put his case on AP. They took his passport and gave him a blue slip.

You need to consult this matter with US LAWYER for avoid problem at later stage cz k1 visa is applicable for non marriage couples only.

Does anyone know if the $350 visa fee for K-1 can be paid in rupees at the US Embassy in Islamabad? Is it okay for my fiance to pay in rupees?

call embassy for the status instead of email for the visa confirmation.

You must a proof against cancellation of passport specially in k1 as they see your past traveling history. This will clear your case early. Approx one month after noa2 and no need to contact for case number.They will provide your petitions by mail.
