  1. I contacted my both my senators and congressmen and the result they sent to them were the same. Saying my case has been selected as an interview waiver case and that could take up to 6-9 month. But here we are in the 11th month still waiting. some were lucky to get it earlier. All i can tell you is just wait and pray. People will tell you to do so many things, but i promise you nothing will actually happen. The USCIS is different.you can contact senators, congressmen and doing Info pass appointments, nothing will actually happen until they see it fit ti respond to you. All they care is the money we send.

  2. I think the interview part is done now but the consular still wants to confirm whether or not the child belongs to the us citizen.Because that child is a wedlock child I dont know whether the the child is a step child or not , and i dont know whether you are seeking for K2 visa or the us citizen filling for his child. But in a not shell,as son as that is proven ypu should be fine.

I went through the same thing but i filled for my son seperately as us citizen born abroad and filled for a k1 for my the fiance. So my son was given a us passport and my then fiance was given a k1 visa . But the DNA process took about 7 weeks

  3. My friend i feel your pain. I think we are all in the same ship here. I am also adjusting status and since October 2012.I contacted our congressman and he said when he contacted them and they told him my case has been among those selected for interview waivers, and they are now processing cases for july. so i guess i should wait for 3 more months and see what happens.

Meanwhile i have seen others from July and august who were approved in the same category,so please contact them because they have approved people form July and October cases.

  4. Hello welcome to the club .I applied for adjustment of status last year October and guess what, i am still waiting.I did all that i could do but all to no avail. I contacted my congressman and he also put in his efforts and still nothing. The only positive reply he had from them was my case has been selected among others as interview waiver case.So guess what? i am almost 8 months now and still waiting.Others applied since july and they are also still waiting.

So my only advice is to just ignore it for now and sit tight. Because the more you think about it the more you will be worried about it. Until you hear from them , just sit tight and at least give them about 8 moths or more and see. May be you might be one of the lucky ones who can get theirs faster too.

    Chao.

  5. Yes OURJOY was right. That is exactly how it is done because my wife and son went through the same game thing and after the embassy received the results which i even had a copy before the embassy received theirs. My son who was even born in Ghana was given an american passport because i was truly his dad and i was the us citizen, and my wife then fiancee received her K1 visa. and they both came together. My wife the fiance is now waiting for her green card. so dont worry just pray for things to go smoothly.

    Good luck

  6. Sometime that happens depending on the officer interviewing you , and sometimes the person will choose not to tell you anything. But i think the good news is you have passed the test as stated on the papper given to you.

You will either recieve a letter stating when and where you will have your ceremony done, or a letter asking for some evidence , so just sit tight and wait you will be alright. I had the same experience and i sat and waited for 3 weeks and later recieved a letter telling me when and where i will have my ceremony done.

  7. Wow, thanx friend. U known I have not ever received my EAD yet and nothing from them after done with fingerprint last month March 22.

Did you apply for it?because is an option. some people adjust their status without aply for EAD and the traveling document.SO if u did apply for it the u should be expecting it soon. My wife did her fingerprint on november last year and had her EAD in January.

  8. Hi VJ friend,

How long does it take to get approved after Finger print. I have my finger print done and coming Monday April 22, is 30 days and heard nothing from there.

Hello good friend welcome to the club. I say this because my wife was fingerprinted november 20th till today and wehave nothing. She had her EAD but thus it.If u are lucky you could get your interview scheduled very soon but if u are like some of us who are unlucky enough then prepare to wait. I have come across many who were fingerprinted last july and august of last year and have not yet recieved no interviews yet but have also recieved their EAD's.So pls just pray.

  9. Consider inquiring at the phone number listed at the bottom of the Form I-797c, ASC Appointment Notice.

Is a mistake. So what you can do is, go to the uscis website and put in your zip code and it will show you the closest fingerprint office and go there. If you like just give me your zip code and i can tell you where to go.

Or just forget about the above and call them.

  10. I filled mine Jan, got my EAD march and since then, I haven't heard anything yet. I called the USCIS Customer care line 3days ago and they sent a service request to Chicago where my AOS is being processed. I was then told that I should receive something in the mail within the next 2weeks. Maybe you should also try that.

yours is just 3-4 month old. mine was since last october in 2012 and another guy was saying his was from june or so.

  11. Well since the NBC took control of the AOS cases, 2 things can happen : your petition can be send to your local office abd have an interview or your package can stay at the NBC and receive your GC without interview. Normally, if you are going to have an interview normally takes no more than 5 or 6 month but if it take more time probably you can get your GC without one but takes 8 to 11 month, so the only thing you can do is wait

Thank you for that information.i am 6 months now and no schedules yet, i presume i will get the green card without the interview then.

    Thanks though

  12. Me and my wife got married last september after entering the country on a K1 visa.We filled for an adjustment of status late in october and has recieved her EAD in december.Since then , we have not recieved any communications till today. In other words, she has not even been scheduled for interview nor has recieved her green card yet.We did the service request thing and the system does not even allow us to do so.

Does anyone has an idea of what is really going on now or has anyone experienced such problem ?:angry::rolleyes:

  13. Some K1s are approved w/o interviews and some are transferred to a local office to have interviews. If youre a K1 and your case is still at the NBC (you can tell where you are by checking your case status online or by calling and asking where you are) and you have not been transferred to a local office after many months of sitting at the NBC most likely youre not going to be.

Every K1 goes the NBC. There they send out RFEs, and do 'general processing'. They then do some sort of top secret most likely random computer generated selection on the cases to determine who gets sent to local offices for interviews and who is retained at NBC for approval w/o interviews. Those cases forwarded to local offices are forwarded. Those K1s are sent notices 'your case has been transferred' They receive interview notices from their local offices. Sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly.

Those left behind at the NBC are left behind. The average wait time for those left behind to be approved w/o interview at the NBC seems to around 6 months. Unfortunately there is no posted 'normal processing time' for AOS at the NBC because NBC does not process 485s. This is a recent thing they implemented to 'speed up the process'. So K1s who are left there can not put in service requests to find out whats going on with their cases.

Your only option is to contact your congressperson to ask for an inquiry. An inquiry from a congressperson is basically the same thing as a service request. They will have their liaison 'ping' NBC and get a status update on your case. Contacting the phone center will give you no results. They will simply tell you, your case is at NBC, you have to wait. There is no processing time limits on how long you can sit there- so we cant contact them to ask why you are still there.

(for the OP who applied in Nov 2012- you should join the Nov AOS filers thread. If you havent gotten a transfer to a local office by now, you may not be getting one, and youre prob looking at about 6 mo from when you filed to be approved w/o interview)

Hey Thank you for the detailed response to my post.

  14. My wife filled for an AOS after entering into the country on K-1 Visa. She has applied for adjustment of status and had her biometrics done since November 20th.The case shows it was touched on 14th December. But we have not heard anything till today. The case is now with MSC.

Please does any one has an idea on what is going on or does anyone has dealt with the vermont service center? Please tell me something. This is insane

  15.  Evidence of relationship: You should prepare to present suitable documentation to establish the bona-fides of your relationship with the petitioner and with your derivative family members (if any) who will be traveling to the U.S with you.

 Please label, itemize all material in chronological order and separate them into two groups: before and after engagement/marriage.

 Evidence can include but is not limited to photos, correspondence, phone bills, and other relevant items to demonstrate to the consular officer the bona fides of the relationship with the petitioner. Please note that you should remove your photos from albums and bring your loose photos only

Do you need help or what?

  16. Thanx guys. I really appreciate the support. Having to wait is better than they telling me i will never enter the U.S to be with my mum and brothers. 1 thing i realized was she didnt give me my documents back. she gave me a sheet of paper to get a police report done on that name and wait for their call. I didnt know the name so i asked her what it was. She gave me the name and the date of birth. i was like wow u guys have all that. When she said she new everything. i made reference to the affidavit of support and said that i brought it on my 1st interview. she said to me if they had brought this case up then, they would have putting me on a waver and that could go anyway. The lady CO told me if they are done they will call me to come to the embassy and give me another pickup date. Hope it goes through.

Wow , this is sad and sorry to hear that.Meanwhile whilst waiting don,t forget ,God is always with you and all i can say is keep up the prayers and some of us will remember you in our prayers. You will be fine

  17. I Was about to ask the same question when i saw yours. sorry i cant answer ur question but i do have a question for u-HOW DO U PRINT YOUR MAGIC JACK CALL RECORDS?

To me, i think it does not really matter. This because , i sent a phone a card record from phone card company which is not a cell phone records and i think magic jack is even better than that but they accepted. They dont really care where it came from but rather showing a there was a legitimate records of communication activity. So i think you will be fine as far as you can get the record.

    Good luck
