Hello, I am new to VJ so I apologize if I haven't got the etiquette/process down. I am a canadian in the US. I am going to marry my USCitzen boyfriend of 15 years. I travel back and forth between Montreal and NYC by car every couple of months. We finally decided to live in the same city (ie NYC )permanently so we are going to get married. I never get my passport stamped because I come by car so I don't have a Arrival record or I-94 which seems to have all the immigration consultants baffled. My last entry date was Jan 3 2012 but I have no proof of that. Can I assume that there is a record of my car license plate available at the border that I went through? Is the arrival record absolutely necessary ? Thanks

My fiancee came here frequently (by plane) and until 3 yrs ago they used to issue her I-94, but they don't use I-94 anymore ( at least for visa waiver countries) , they just stamped her passport every time and have a record of everything in the computer now. Yes, you can assume they have a record of everything, you really don't need any document for your arrival/departure record as long as you you fill out the forms truthfully everything will go smoothly.

My fiancé sees me (beneficiary) all the time should I just say that " my fiancé drives to my house with our daughter and stays for a month at a time?"

Yeah.... Not really sure what to put?

Or should I use a time with a reasoning.. Like I went down for our daughters birthday or spent my birthday there?? Hmmm.....

Put down everything as it is, nothing better than truth. This shows that you have a natural, healthy relationship. What's wrong with a parent to drive and want to see the child frequently? it is so natural and fine, as long as no law is broken.

I am just curious, and I thought posting this topic I am able to get people's point of view. My husband and I are happily married I love him so much and he loves me too. We don't argue a lot,99.9 percent we are happy with our marriage, But I am curious to ask about answering phone calls, one afternoon his friend called up,I was lyin in bed with him,he was asleep and I wasn't. First I thought it's his mom,soI got up and tok the call. Little did I know it was his college friend calling, I met him we watch concert one time with my husband. I spoke to him for about 1 minute,hubby was pissed why did I took the call, so I apologize and I said I thought it was his mom I don't have bad intention, Also I met his friend before,so I don't think it's bad. My husband called back after two days he spoke to his friends wife (hubby and her also friends in college)they have a great conversation hubby laughed and kid around.Hearing all this I felt a little incurities,but I know they are great friends. I've been here for two years but I haven't meet his friends wife and kids. So questions are: is it bad take call from your husband friend that you also met already? Do you guys shares everything?I do 101 percent,when it comes to every details school happenings,work,daily life. I considered him my best friend. He dont share everything,especially when it comes to money issue,bills problem,mortgage,because he said he doesn't want me to worry. Weird questions but I'm curious if everyone married to the western guys been through the same.

Of course what you did was normal, it is natural to answer the phone when he was asleep, he is overreacting to what you did. And for him not sharing everything then what's a marriage? it's about sharing everything in my opinion, what i hear is mostly how it is in eastern cultures, in western cultures usually man and wife share everything.

Thanks to all for posting...this is really frustrating, i keep checking USCIS everyday to see our case has been touched but no luck...I wish all of us to get that magical moment soon....

I filed I-129F and got NOA1 on May 18, 2011 from VSC and its been more than 5 months and we still haven't heard anything. I check on this site and noticed that some members who filed even 2 months after we did already got NOA2, Any help on when we can expect NOA2 ?
