  1. Hello,

    The visa was valid for 6 months but the medical examination I don't remember. I had it done about a month before my interview and they gave me a sealed envelope. I honestly don't remember them telling me when did it expire. I hope that helps. Good luck!

    thank you so much! I always read it was for 6 months for the visa... but never read anything about the medical expiring... :unsure:

  2. No problem. I signed up and already received about 5 calls from my Nica friends. It works great!

    Hi Nica;

    this is off the topic... but I need to ask!!! When you were issued the visa in Nicaragua, how much time did you have until it expired? and the medical examination, when did that expire? I read this below on the NVC's website...

    When Your Visa Is Issued – What You Should Know

    How much time do I have to immigrate after my visa is issued?

    Review your visa when you receive it and also carefully note its expiration date. You must enter the United States before your visa expires, and before your medical examination results expire.

  3. I had HIGH hopes when I wrote yesterday an e-mail to Rick Scott, from Florida.... and soooooo sadly :( it did not help... should I try my Senator now???

    Thank you for contacting Governor Rick Scott and for sharing your concerns about your I-130 petition. The Governor appreciates your concerns and asked that I respond on his behalf.

  6. padoo - read all pages at http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html

    Be certain to click through any links as well, as there will be MORE INFO .

    Good Luck !

    I was reading on all the documents required to be submitted to the NVC... It states that you have to send the originals or certified copies... my confusion is... all these documents can be sent by e-mail as PDFs once you enroll in the EP?

    thanks!

  7. That is really good, i am happy for you. People who is the best person to get involved in our immigration case, a Senator or Congressman??

    I wrote today to my congressman here in Florida. I actually didn't know how to do it... went online to renew my tag this afternoon and there it was... a link that said... e-mail Rick Scott, FL congressman. So it felt like a sign... I hope it helps too! Lots of blessings for you all!

  8. Yes there is a glass between you and the interviewer the entire time. I would advise to get there early because they do give you a number, so the earlier you get there, the sooner you will be interviewed. Our interview was scheduled for 8AM, we got there around 7:15AM and were out of there around 8:40AM. The medical envelope needs to be sealed when you get there, the security guard will make you open it right outside of the embassy before he lets you in. Make sure to bring all of the documents that you already submitted to the NVC as well as an updated Police Record.

    Is it required to go to the interview with your husband in Managua?
