It is easy to understand why one would claim it is age and sex discrimination, but let's be completely honest and ask ourselves if we really believe the decision was based 100% on the fact that the U.S. citizen is a 50 year old female. I do not believe that to be true.

Before the site went down I was like low to mid 30s. Hopefully my petition will come soon sInce others from July are now being accepted
What site are you talking about. I'm sorry if I'm being thick-skulled haha.
-
The Igor list on VJ is completely wrong. For VSC, it has me at position 120, and in reality I am in the 30s. I wouldn't go by this list for those wondering where they "stand"...
How do you know your position is in the 30's? How can I find out what mine is? I know they are processed randomly anyway, but I'm just curious.

My receipt number from my Noa1 has never worked but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise.

It might be my desire to not want to think about a woman being this cold-hearted, but I have to think that the OP is just taking us all for a ride. Given that these types of posts generate such a buzz, it's easy to see why someone would be motivated to "troll."

Because the INSTRUCTIONS for the actual form trumps the guidelines on this site which are unofficial. ... Simply confirming that the site needs to be updated. Why are you so defensive about getting quoted? (Where's the emoticon for rolling of the eyes.)
I think you should be careful about making assumptions. I was not being defensive. I was asking a question because it seemed to me that you had quoted me by mistake. I wish you nothing but good luck in the future.

"In place of any of the above, you may give USCIS a copy of your valid, unexpired U.S. passport issued with a validity period of at least five years. You must submit copies of all pages in the passport. " Straight from the I-129F Instructions.
It's in reference to using the passport as proof of citizenship, but the same applies for copying your passport to show as travel documentation of your entrance in and out of the visiting country. All pages. Preferably in color.
J and S why did you quote me when you wrote this? What you wrote doesn't address the guide on this site and whether or not it needs to be updated.

but perhaps you'd want to call and make sure ur number is recognized but the automated system
I was concerned about it and called them about it. They told me the receipt number on my NOA1 is correct. I said, "Ok, so you are saying the number is the correct number and there is nothing to worry about." They replied, "Of course." That got me a little upset, but I kept my cool and thanked them for their help. I mean "of course" was not what I expected to hear when I'm calling to tell them their own database has no record of my petition.

Good day,
If it's just a "card and letter" you're sending, I've found that the USPS (United States Postal Service) has ALWAYS been the cheapest.
Yes I thought USPS was the cheapest but I was concerned with the Philippines postal system botching the job. It appears my worries about their postal system are unfounded.

Yeap, nothing coming up; error on page. They better give us ALL good updates on Monday !!
My number has never worked. It always says "cannot be found at this time." I have come to realize it's a blessing because it prevents me from checking it every day only to be let down.

No LBC stores in my state unfortunately. I will mail it on Monday using USPS. Thank you everyone for your help.
-
I always send thru USPS. I think its registered mail? I'm not sure if i have the right name. I have a tracking # with my receipt. Reasonable price. Reasonable delivery time.
Ok, well this may be my best option. I was told that the Philippines postal system had long delays. If your items are being received within reasonable times, then it must not be true about the Philippines postal system.
-
Do you have a "LBC" in your Area?
I found LBC's website, but have not yet found where their U.S. drop-off locations are.
-
Sorry, yes it might help if I put how long I'd like it to take to get there. I'd like it to take about a week to get there, but I suppose 2 weeks would be alright.

I'm a US citizen looking to for the "best" way to ship a card and letter to my fiancee in the Philippines. According to UPS, sending the card and letter will cost more than $60. I would think USPS would be cheaper, but I have heard going through the Philipines' government postal system is not recommended. Is Fedex or DHL considerably cheaper than UPS? Any ideas?
-
Absolutely.
The guide on VJ does not say all pages of a passport HAVE to be photocopied. If this is true then the guide should be updated ASAP.
-
Yes congratulations to them. I'm just happy August petitions have begun.
-
scottnlizzie, I guess you didn't read page 4, here.
2 of the 5 receipt numbers just ahead of mine, were approved I-129F's yesterday and day before.
GringoD, I guess you didn't click on my link and look at the data because if you had I think you'd see why I say K-1's are on the backburner.
-
yeah so keep out of our forum just kidding... before you know it they will be firing out IR1/CR1 and the K-1 will be put to the side for a while
They have already put K-1's on the backburner. K-1's went on backburner in October 2011. Check out the these data:
-
Finally VSC has approved an August 2011 k1 petition. I was getting nervous when some of the most recent approvals on Igor's list were May 2011 petitions.

100 miles is not far enough away to explain why people in manila and taguig are not feeling anything is it? A 6.0 would normally be felt hundreds of miles away right?
-
Don't let USCIS influence your ideals...just kidding.

Will be staying in Picasso serviced residences in Makati in February. Anybody stayed there before? It seems modern and nice.

I hope if you are female and you are engaged that you are still referring to your fiance as fiance. Fiance refers to a male who is engaged to be married. Maybe I misread what you wrote, but the good news is you have now made it clear you are female and not male.
