I got my approval letter today with date of decision 09/12/2012. Good luck for those who still waiting and I believe you will get there soon!!!

I am still waiting too. I am thinking if I should call them for a service request or not. I doubt it will work though.

For those who filed before on or before Nov 28th 2011 and haven't heard anything so far, they can call USCIS and file a service request.

Current USCIS processing times shown for VSC are NOV 28,2011.

yep you shouldn't any issues at all. I recently travelled to Jamaica in a similar manner, you just need your expired card and the letter.

Yes you'll have no problem. I recently came back from Montreal with my wife who has an expired GC. Just bring the extension letter with you.

My greed card expired Feb 2012 and I submitted my ROC last Nov. I got the extension letter from USCIS to extend my resident status for a year. I know pp with green card can travel to Canada without a visa. Can I enter Canada with the expired green card and the extension letter? Thanks!

I just checked online status, it does ask for the receipt number. So do u mean the receipt number on Noa and BIO number are different?

Sorry but your NOA1 case number is NOT a case number it is a receipt number it will not work ever in the case status check.

You must use your Biometrics letter and if you read the NOA1 it would actually say that too right at the bottom.

are you doing it right,are you registered to check status online .3 letters, 9 numbers in caps,first the three letters then on your key board press shift then 8 for astract, then add the 9 numbers. if that don't work call the 1-800 number.

I didn't receive my BIO appointment yet. It has been about 20 days since they receive my case.

Uscis received my application on Nov 18 and I got the receipt number by mail on Nov 23. I just put the receipt numer online and it came back "Your case cannot Be found this time...."

Thanks for your reply. My husband in Los Angles said I have a letter from USCIS noticing me to file I-751. So I think my address in their system is still Los Angeles. If I applied in New York, should I change address online.

It is your green card and you live in new york, you should file from your address.

Unless you want a biometrics appointment in LA and not NYC and a possible interview in LA and not NYC.

I filed application and got my green card in Los Angeles. I moved to New York after 1 year of our marriage for career and my husband still in Los Angeles. We tried to terminate the long-distance ASAP, but didn't make it till now.

Where should we filed joint I-751 petition at the current situation? Los Angeles or New York. Thanks very much!
