    Hello all.. I have a question, does any VJ member by chance have a good phone # for NVC that I can call to see if they received my approval from USCIS yet, and maybe get some kind of status on my case at their level? Thanks for any help you can offer.

      Hey there... I can't find my number for NVC. However, I do have the one for the Department of State....202-663-1225. If you call DOS they can provide you information as to where your case is currently. They were actually the ones that eventually gave me NVC number as well. Good luck.

    Received a text message and email of my Approved K-1 petition on 10/14/11. My Fiancée is in Ethiopia... From reading some of the post about denials, it has really made me concerned about the Addis USE's attitude towards applicants ... Someone please Help me calm my nerves!!! Is there any good report about the Addis USE. Its it really that bad at the USE in Addis?

      Just know this Herb that Ethiopia is the busiest embassy in all the world, so they are going through apps like crazy there. Make sure that you both go over the questions together so she knows everything. They are just looking for something that would tell them that you are not in a real relationship. Blessings on you guys.

      Thanks... On another Note, I just received the hard copy of my NOA2, and it states, I qoute: "This above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed counsulate." Is that the same thing as saying it was forwarded to the NVC?
