i just want to update my status. My AP came to an end on the 1st of November when i was called by the embassy to get what was required of me. Presented documents on the 14th and visa was issued on 30th November. Flew into US on 7th December. Loving it here With Family. Wish everybody going through their journey well. Thank God for everything he has done for me. He made the impossible possible. Glory be to the most Holy Name #JesusChrist.

What do you guys think. I know nobody knows what goes on in AP but just want to know what you guys think.

Thanx guys. I really appreciate the support. Having to wait is better than they telling me i will never enter the U.S to be with my mum and brothers. 1 thing i realized was she didnt give me my documents back. she gave me a sheet of paper to get a police report done on that name and wait for their call. I didnt know the name so i asked her what it was. She gave me the name and the date of birth. i was like wow u guys have all that. When she said she new everything. i made reference to the affidavit of support and said that i brought it on my 1st interview. she said to me if they had brought this case up then, they would have putting me on a waver and that could go anyway. The lady CO told me if they are done they will call me to come to the embassy and give me another pickup date. Hope it goes through.

Hello Vjers,
I taught today was going to be one of the happiest days of my life but turned out worse. I was approved at the embassy last month and my pickup date was today. Got to the embassy with all smiles on my face. little did i know i was going to be questioned again. This is my story. When i was a kid my mom wanted me to come visit with a non immigrant visa. She paid a friend of hers to do the process for me down here in Gh in 2004. She did it. I Got the Visa but something was wrong. My name was totally changed.I dont even remember the name. My mum also didnt know the name. My mum got bored and told me not to come with that identity. She said she was going to help me come with my real identity. this woman kept the passport and didnt give it to me. So my mum filed. When i started my process last year my mum told me to tell anyone who was interviewing me the truth. Before that i had to go to the court of law to do affidavit of support to add to my documents. since i didnt know the name that well the document stated thatTHE NAME GIVING TO ME FROM BIRTH WHICH IS THE NAME I'M USING RYT NOW IS MY REAL NAME and ANY OTHER NAME GIVING TO ME APART FROM MY REAL NAME IS NOT MY NAME. I presented this document on my first interview Last year september. Can you believe i wasnt asked any question about this till today which is suppose to be my pickup date. 2DAY The Lady CO asked me IF I HAVE APPLIED WITH A DIFFERENT NAME BEFORE. I said YES BUT I DIDNT TRAVEL WITH IT. She asked WHEN. I replied WHEN I WAS A KID. she asked me THE YEAR I WAS BORN. I GAVE IT TO HER. she then left me and went to discuss my case with a lady in the back office. She came back with a immigration book telling me that she is checking to see if she could help right then but couldnt. Guess she felt my pain. She then told me THEY KNEW EVERYTHING. She told me she liked the fact i told the truth and said it will work in my favour. if i had lied SHE WOULD DIMISS MY CASE and refuse me the visa. She then went on to say she has seen worse cases than this and this is no case. The only reason is that its out of her hands but will be sent to Washington DC for AP and that they will call me. I WAS TOLD It will take time. 3months to 6months tops but i've heard it can take more than that and no one can help you. I'm very sad but what can i do. i live this To GOD. I know he will take control of this. I just wanted to share my story with you guys. I Wish everybody the best in all their process.

-
they really dont ask questions. all they ask for is the documents they need from you. please be well prepared.
-
yeah what WB7985 said is true buh u still need to proof that relation between ur mom and step dad. also send documents they have together as husband and wife. anythn u can get. tell ur mom to do that. for ur final interview they dont ask questions buh only for the documents they require from you thats all.

The co-sponsor essentially needs the same things as the primary sponsor: I-864, evidence of tax filing, pay stubs/ letter from employer. If the co-sponsor is married, the spouse may need to file I-864A.
Thanks

if u need to have a co sponsor. how do you go about it. the thing is that my mom is in the u.s with my 3 younger brothers. she made over 30000 dollars in 2010 buh made over 20000 dollars in 2011. jst realized we might need a co sponsor. the CO also told me to get a co sponsor jst in case. so how do i go about it. does the co sponsor need to do anything or he has to jst send his tax transcript. does he have to write a letter indicating his my co sponsor or what. please need ur help.

i was asked to provide tax transcripts. My sponsor makes above 20000 dollars a year. Is it good or do i need a co sponsor.
-
congrats, u deserve it...

It takes about a month from filling to be ready. I hope your mom has filled.
my mom got it in 3 days. they dont want tax returns but tax transcripts.
-
wow is this how long it takes. errbody and his/her story huh.
-
We had tax transcript not copies of the tax returns. The sponsor (and any co-sponsor) will need to get the past three years. They usually come within two business weeks. If they have access to a fax they can get it quicker.
Do you have a 2nd date?
i was ask to get my moms 2011 tax transcript and yes, i have a 2nd date. thanx

I am confused.Do they want tax transcripts or tax returns?Tax transcripts are free, Tax returns are not.If you order tax returns from the IRS it could be pretty expensive. How many years do they want you to provide the returns? Its $57.00 per tax period for the tax returns and its free for the transcripts.
Below is information from IRS .GOV.
Topic 156 - Copy of Your Tax Return – How to Get One
If you need an exact copy of a previously filed and processed tax return and all attachments (including Form W-2), you should complete Form 4506 (PDF), Request for Copy of Tax Return, and mail it to the address listed in the instructions, along with a $57.00 fee for each tax period requested. The check or money order for the fee should be made payable to the "United States Treasury". Copies are generally available for returns filed in the current and past six years. Copies of jointly filed tax returns may be requested by either spouse and only one signature is required. Allow 60 calendar days to receive your copies.
Most needs for tax return information can be met with a computer print-out of your return information called a "transcript". A transcript may be an acceptable substitute for an exact copy of a return by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and lending agencies for student loans and mortgages. A "tax return transcript" will show most line items contained on the return as it was originally filed. If you need a statement of your tax account which shows changes that you or the IRS made after the original return was filed, however, you must request a "tax account transcript". Both transcripts are generally available for the current and past three years and are provided free of charge. The period in which you will receive the transcript varies from within ten to thirty business days from the time the IRS receives your request for the tax return or tax account transcript.
You can obtain a free transcript on the IRS.gov Website (www.irs.gov) by clicking Order a Transcript under the Online Services option, or by calling 800-908-9946 and following the prompts in the recorded message, or by completing and mailing a request for a transcript to the address listed in the
they said they wanted tax transcripts, and can u believe the co gave me close to 3 months to produce this document.

hello Vjers, i need your help ones again. went for my interview on monday. actually it didnt look like an interview. it looked like just presenting documents to me. i presented all the documents i was told to bring, my dna went through, sent a new medical and police report. everything went through buh i was told by the CO the tax transcript was not what they were lookn for. CO gave another long date and told me to please bring the transcript. i hav gone to the website (www.irs.gov) they gave me and cant really find what they want. im sure my mom sent the 1040 federal tax returns. to my knowledge now its only the tax transcript thats keepn me here a lil longer. please Vjers can some1 help me know the correct tax transcript to send and if anybody can go to the extend to really show me how it looks like i will be really grateful, thank you.

@keyshawn18 & @Ghanalover im on it. went to holy trinity clinic today. Getting it done. thanks guys.

Shaking for what? You're not gonna be sentenced to life in. prison. If the embassy finds it necessary to request a new medical they will. All you have to do on your end is "say nothing unless asked." The most will happen is they will place the case on hold pending a medical result ... Preapproved.
yow RICARDO,i love the attitude to the max buh i aint shaking cause im going to get denied nope. Im shaking because if they need it that will be another waiting time on my part. waited for bout seven months after my 1st interview plus dna stuff. man can't wait for another month, my mum n brothers need me.
Trying to find a way out of AP PLEASE HELP US!!!

Look, for me I would say don't mind those ppl telling u there's nothing you can do. I was in AP for 4 months and it felt like hell. I understand you. Most of them don't knw how it feels, thats why they talk like that. If i had sat down and listened to ppl like that, i would have waited for a very long time. Look i suggest u start calling the DOS n sending mails to the embassy every two weeks. It makes them know you are there. Like a reminder. One of the things which worked for me was when I maid my mum who was filing for me go to the congressman's office. In about a week i was called. So don't sit there and let these ppl tell you what they think, Cause non of em works for immigration or even know the laws of US immigration. sometimes ppl come on hr and say u have to wait cause they know someone who waited a yr or two. I say do what u have to do. Make that move. I'm sure something will click. I had a worse case n never in life thought they would call, let alone call me early. May God be with you and your Immigration process.
