  1. Hello all!

Here we go again with this mess!!

I'm submitting my I-751 this weekend, and want to make sure I have everything, I do live in my mother-in laws second home since I've been here..

I have an affidavit from a friend and my mother in law and on my mother in laws I have written that me & my husband have been living at that address since i've moved. I have bank account statements from 2 years ago to current, medical bills, beneficiary on medical and auto insurance, photos, christmas cards sent to both of us, I have tax returns from 2012 to 2014.. I have no utility bills in our names and our Verizon bill is under my mother in laws, all our credit cards aren't joint accounts, but should I print a few statements of both showing that we have the same address?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you!!

    Janie

  2. Hi everyone,

I had my interview yesterday and all went well, I was approved yay! But when I got in the car, I realized they never asked for my passport photos! The lady at the first window you go to told me that this was one of her few times working alone and had to ask the lady at the second window for help from time to time...

When I reached the consulate window, he didn't ask for them either... now hopefully i'll still be able to get my passport back within a few days...

Anyone know how long it takes for a DHL pickup?

I hope I don't have to send the passport pictures back and wait again.... GRRR, and at the time, I didn't think about it I was a nervous wreck, I literally have no finger nails left and the interview lasted only 2 mins!!!

    Thanks for your help!

  3. Thank you very much for your fast responses!! I went to my local OPP station and she gave me a Criminal Record Search Certificate, and told me that is what I need, has my DOB name and address and the seal at the bottom right corner. I was a little worried, thank god for y'all (Trying to fit in with my Texas friends lol)

I also paid 25$ for it, and got it in about 3 days.

  4. Hi everyone,

I'm running to a little bit of a problem, I knew I needed a police certificate, and my interview is on the 24th of this month. Now is this the same a as a criminal record check? I called my local police office and I told her what I needed and for what purposes, and she indicated that I can get it there.. yet when I look it up online, it states that it can only be done at RCMP and can take up to 10 weeks. Is this for real? Or is the lady at the police office right? I don't wanna get to my interview and not have it...

  5. Hi everyone,

We filed for the I-129F petition, was approved. Sent back Packet 3 yesterday. How long does it usually take between sending Packet 3 and receiving Packet 4? (Montreal).

Also, one more question... Are K1-Fiance visa interview booked by us? Or booked by the consulate or whoever (lol). Just because i've read different things with different people.. Unless they don't have the same K1 as me..

So frustrating waiting and waiting.. ALSO! I booked my medical for next week, Medysis indicated they just need a letter with my name and our MTl case number, which we have from the letter they sent my fiance to tell us the Packet 3 was coming. Is that ok?

  6. This might be a little complicated, but i'll start from the beginning..

My fiance's grandmother passed away. His mother moved into his Grandmothers place, and he moved in to his mother's house and is renting out his house to his brother.

Now, I received my Packet 3, should I indicate the new address on those forms? All utility bills are at the mothers address.

So confused, called NVC, it's not in their hands anymore, so no help there and MTL Consulate don't answer phone calls... I'm lost and confused..

We don't want to change the address if its going to cause any delays, but don't want to be in trouble if we don't change it.

  7. Hi everyone, I applied for the I-129F, we got our N0A2 and everything, and when I called last week, they indicated that my Packet 3 was sent from Montreal the day before. It's been 1 weeek, and I live about 40 mins away from Montreal, so it should take 2 days TOPS.

I've been trying to find what I need to send back to Montreal. I know there are a few forms, but i'm wondering if I have the right ones, DS-156 (2 copies), DS-156K and DS-230? This is a fiance visa. I'm wondering if I can send everything now to get the process going a little faster?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much,

    Janie

  8. Anywho,

I called, got someone after about 10 mins, which I was expecting more wait time haha, but I got my MTL # and they sent out my package yesterday, so should receive it soon hopefully so I can start. Thank you for posting the MTL link, I didn't know there was a fee for the interview I thought we were all done with $$$, except for the Permanent Resident thing at the end..

I wasn't trying to be rude, but the last time I had posted a question, I had someone who was rude to me, I'm here for help, like most people. You might have done this years ago and tired of repeating, but were just as much noobies as you were... patience.

Thanks everyone for the help!! :)

  9. Maybe it was not your question but you are freaking out for no reason - you are also not understanding the process of what goes on and reading the guides - flow charts and instructions will help you to understand what you need to do and what is going on.

This is not the way you should be calling them that is only for spousal visas - K-1 information never shows up on the AVR voice system. You have to speak to an operator if you are wanting to call to get your case number.

My point exactly, I don't understand, that's why i'm posting here...
