hi!! Jacksonville i'm not sure but i think it's okay to bring some relatives inside cause as what i've observe i saw some of the relatives of the applicant was in there, just to assist them or to bring there bags for them but it's just base in my observation... I think it's fine..

Hello Vj friends...
I just wanna share my experience during my medical examination. I just started my medical last Jan. 24 until Jan. 25,2012...
Start from here:
I went to St. Luke 8:00 am the guard asked me for my appointment letter, USEM letter and the online registration form that I printed from my email w/ photocopy each, i'm telling you guys much better to fill up the online registration form from St. Luke website I swear it will really help you a lot no hassle at all. The guard gave me the no. 81 online i just waited my no. and then the staff call 10 person to line in the window L online there's lot of windows, then it's my turn the girl on the window told me to face the camera then take shot and also put my index finger to scanner. She asked my 3 2x2 photos, she let me sign some paper and then she ask me to fill up a DS-156k and i told her that i bring some copy then she told me that it's different form from the USEm but when i see the form it's almost the same i just smile smile, she ask me some of my info and my fiance info and I forget the other, then she give me a receipt she told me to go at the 5 floor to pay, I pay PhP 9,387.50 then the cashier told me to gave the receipt and the small form it was attached to each other,i gave it to the US counter, then the guard told me to sit and wait for my name to be called i meet some friends in there, there's lots of visayan out there and i'm one of them, hehe!! ^0^ , here we go, I waited like 6 mins then my name was called and it's my time to go in the vital sign table area the nurse asked what is my name for the confirmation and he let me sit then he checked my blood pressure and i was surprise it's because it's 120/80 i'm anemic!!
hahahyy.. and then he also checked my hearts beat and then he told me are you nervous then i said yes !caused my hear beat so fast, then he let me sit again to the waiting area and the told me to wait again my name to be called. while waiting I talked to my new friends out there and i also meet a member in VJ and we are surprise!!!! Then my name was called again we go inside a small room for checking the weight, height and then for the eyes then asked some question, then they will signed something in your small form not small but like a half short bond paper, then i think she told me to go to the 3rd floor for X-ray, i gave my form to the reception area then fill up and then signed and wait my name again to be called, talked again to my friends then finally x-ray time we disrobe just in the upper part then one by one our name was called i greet the radiologist inside and it's just so quick, she give my form and my passport back, be sure you hold your passport always make sure that it was in your hand St. Luke can't do nothing when your passport is gone. okay!! then they told me again to go at the 4rth floor for the urine and blood test then after that 5th floor the last one physical examination I give my form again to the US counter I waited a lot in this.. hhay.. finally my name was called and the guard give me a no. 28 room no.6 i heard here in VJ that the Doctor in this room is strict but i don't think so she is so nice and pretty she let me signed a form and asked me so fast question and then check my breast and the something.. you know that...
then just so quick finally i'm done finally 2nd floor immunization area yahoo.. ^0^ waited in here for so long really took hours before my name was called i'm really hungry at that time... My name was called and we went to a room just asking some question like when is the first and the last of your period, any allergies, have you been pregy before almost the same what the doctor asked you at your physical examination 5th floor then she ask me if i received some shots before and i told her YES maam, i bring a chart a vaccin when i was a baby then she told me just to bring the record in US and i say okay Maam. everything went well.. then she told me i will be having my immunization 2pm and i will receive 4 shots then i said thank you maam then finally i'm done... for FIRST DAY MEDICAL EXAMINATION... THANKS 'GOD'....
2ND DAY MEDICAL EXAMINATION.!!!
I arrived in St. Luke 1:35 in the afternoon then i show the guard my receipt the he told me to go the other guard inside he check my name and he stamp in my receipt, i was afraid it's because it's not immunization it's medical report he told me to give it to the counter A ground floor then i gave it to the window a and told me to wait my name to be called i saw one of my friend in there too.. we talked to each other.. hahhay finally i heard my name but i don't know where should i go i'm so blessed that they repeated again and i should go to the US counter i'm afraid really my heart starting to beat so fast can't help it... I pray that GOd will give me some strength and hoping everything will be okay...The guard give me a no.again it's 8 in room 9 i go inside and i meet a doctor again i just need to calm down, i keep thinking what is the problem and i'm just surprise that she just asked me about my teeth if it's complete and if its a Marfil but i said no maam and then she asked me if i give birth before and i told her NO again.. then she said okay.. then i was thinking that's it??? but still i'm blessed she told me to gave it to the US counter again and they told me you can go now to the 2nd floor immunization area. hay, feel me better.... i talked again to my friends out there and i saw there receipt that it's immunization....hahahhayyy.... i waited in here like 4 hours just waiting my name to be called i'm thinking that i think there something problem w/ my results it makes me worried again i saw my friends that they are almost done and they had their shots.. no lots of people in there just few my friends are in the ground floor in releasing area. I prayed again.. GOD plss help me... then after waiting for almost 4hrs. my name was so called so happy that i hear" Marinor Sajulga go to the immunization room 2nd floor' Yes finally..... thanks GOD, then the Nurse are friendly she talked to me and ask about my info and my fiance and she give me 4shots.. wow it's hurts... but still it's okay.. it's worth it.. then she told me that i can go to the ground floor i waited in there and talked to my friends again my name was called 2times one just to signed and give your passport and then wait then the lst is the releasing of the cd x-ray and the immunization sheets.. hahay finally i'm done 6in the evening... Finally i'm done w/ my medical examinationn.. I really Thank GOd for everything.... Hope guys it really help you a lot, it's just based in my experience, My interview will be on Jan. 30 hoping I'll pass the interview and i can't do all this things w/out the support of my beloved fiance.. God bless everyone i'm hoping everything will be fine in your Journey.... (^-^)

My fiancee was originally heading to St. Luke's for her Medical Examination on Jan 23, but when we went to the website it says it is closed January 23 because of the Chinese New Year. She will be heading to St. Luke's on Tuesday, the following day. However, just a little concern because her interview is scheduled on Monday, January 30. I thought the medical had to be at least a week before-hand. If we tell St. Luke's that the interview is next Monday at the US Embassy will they send the results there in time? Thank you members of VJ.

Hello Izzy.
I just wanna ask if how much you paid when you get done your medical examination? And what shots did you get? I'll be going to manila this Jan. to get done on my Medical Examination.
Your help is appreciated.
-
Yay, congratulations! My fiancee has her soon, hope the result is the same.
-
Well just for some added info, we still have not received the packet from the embassy, and we have already completed medical and the interview. So go get your medical done and schedule ur interview, and prepare the docs required.
hello Vj friends!!
Kevin&Lenith I just want to ask how much did you paid in Philippine currency at St. Luke Medical Center at the time of your medical exam?
Your help is appreciated.

Yay! Merry Christmas!

Not us, but we have ours approximately two weeks later on January 30 at USEM for a K-1. Good luck.

My fiancee lives in Northern Mindanao; approximately 1.4 hours from Cagayan De Oro. She has her interview January 2012. Hope everything is okay.

Congratulations and Merry Christmas!

I don't know if it is totally different in Phil, but I am the USC and my fiance is Thai, and we were in a similar situation. I am a student, my income is only over the 125% by 2,000. What we did was I wrote a letter explaining my student situation, and explaining that my family would help if needed. I included a form from my dad (in Bangkok they don't accept co-sponsor for k-1, but in Manila they do I think). They did ask him a lot of questions about "don't you think you should be in school?" and "Do you think she will be able to support you with that income even with her parents helping?" but we were approved in the interview just yesterday and I wish for you the same!!
EDIT: Btw, I am 20 and my fiance is 21.
Congratulations on your approval!!!
How long was your interview?
I don't know if the Consular will take time to listen to me or not but I know my Fiancee will not become a public charge. I have written a nice letter about it including everything from earning potential in the US to education. My Father will be living with us for at least a year; so virtually no expenses. I'll be working full-time once I'm back in America. I don't know how the CO will deny if I'm also there. I've already spilled a few thousand of dollars, and I'll be also attending the Interview with her..I'm going to bring everything I have..I'll be crossing my fingers the whole time.
-
My opinion is that the case for accepting a cosponsor in your case is marginal at best. It's just an opinion. I hope you are successful but you won't know until you know.
Yeah, I think the CO will be shaking his head a lot during our interview.
I'll continue praying.
-
Most of the exceptions I've seen Manila make are for petitioners who are students about to graduate with good prospects. I would consider your situation to be marginal, at best. If possible, get a job, ANY job paying enough to qualify on your own.
My fiancee's interview is in approximately one-month. I'll definitely do my best for just a recent two-week paystub. Regardless, won't the CO have to accept my Father as a Co-Sponsor anyways? Hopefully the CO will give us a break. We have been through a lot, and these last four years I have been going to college. I was a full-time college student, and working at the same. And between the semesters I have always been working too. The reason I'm unemployed right now is because I was with my fiancee for 10 months; voluntarily quit work so I could be with her.
-
Hard to Call. Manila will accept a Co-sponsor if a immediate famly member from what I have seen. In this case your father which is good.
1-134 for each of you must proven but get to realize you will submit 2011 Tax Documents. Not 2010.
The Currant Income of the Sponsor and Co-Sponsor with supportive proof.
I have seen Co-sponsors accepted before on this Forum. (Philippines)
You are young and so is she. Stay in School if still attending. They want to see INCOME and not what the posibilities are later.
Life is like a draw at a poker table. If the odds are in your favor you will win more times than loose. If in doubt, walk away and play another day.
Right, I'll be using 2011. I'm going to explain my case the best I can when I'm at the interview. I'm bringing all of my recent graduate documents including diploma for the last four years. Really, all it comes down to is if our CO will accept my C0-Sponsor. Easily qualified then. I hope the CO will be in a good mood.
-
Thank you everyone. I'm going to be attending the Interview with my fiancee in January 2012. I'm still unemployed, and will be using my Father as a Co-Sponsor. I have savings in bank and bonds. My fiancee is only 18, and I'm 23. What does everyone think? Approved?
And, I'll also bring an I-864 along (even though it's not required by Embassy; it may help out my case).
-
Congragulations!!
I'm the petitioner, and I'll attend the Interview in January 2012 but I'm still worried because we are applying for a K-1 Visa and I'll need them to accept my Father as a Co-sponsor. This is at the U.S. Embassy in Manila.
-
Congratulations Frank and Racquel! Thank you for your wonderful details.
This was for a K-3 Visa? Glad to hear that Manila will accept a co-sponsor for a K Visa.
Our interview is in January 2012 for a K-1 Visa. I'm the petitioner, and I'll be attending the interview with my fiancee. I'm praying that they will accept my co-sponsor who is my father.
Enjoy your time together with your loved one.
Best Regards.

hi fellow Pinays (and hubby)
I posted the same question before and I got several replies from senior members here who also have Manila as their embassy post.
Most of them said that co-sponsors for K1 are accepted on a case-to-case basis. Some say they've seen couples who had co-sponsors and got approved. It seems like nobody really knows the perfect or right answer to this question.
They all have the same advice though, that it's better to be "armed" with more documents for financial support because the usual reason for denial or further processing is the inability of the petitioner to prove that he/she can support the beneficiary and his/her dependents.
My fiance and I are having his dad as his co-sponsor. We will have both the I-134 and I-864 from his dad just to be super sure. Because there was one thread I read before that suggested to also have the I-864 (even if it's not required at the interview stage in Manila) since it's more 'encompassing' on the financial support once you move there.
Another important thing to note is that it's better to have a close relative as a co-sponsor (like an immediate family member).
I hope this helps, somehow. Please be aware that I'm only saying things that other people have advised me but I have not personally gone through this yet. My interview will be in January 2012.
Wow, me and my fiancee are in the exact same situation. We will also be using the I-864 along with the I-I34. Our co-sponsor is my father as well. And our interview will be in January 2012 as well. Best of luck!!!
:)
And, thank you Tahoma for all of your support. You have helped me through this whole process. You are a blessing to all the VJ Members. Best Regards.

The hotel is safe and its not a problem. I would suggest that just walk your fiance to the St. Lukes and go to the mall for the most part of the day. Have her text you when she is done and meet back at St. Lukes.
Thank you everyone for responding my post. It really helps me and my fiance!

Hello VJ Friends!!
Hi! everyone.! I just want to know if Lotus Garden is nice, has a good service and safe specially going to St' Luke for your Medical Examination? Does the street is safe, walk through St. Luke? My fiance will come w/ me and I know he can't come w/ me inside the Clinic, is there a waiting area in St. Luke w/c is safe?
Thank you for the help.. Really appreciated it!
