  1. Yes, baby, Dayne, and myself are all doing well. I'll be down there Columbus Day weekend for the last visit before peanut arrives. As soon as baby has his (it's a boy!) passport and first round of shots, we'll head down to JA for the remainder of my maternity leave. :) March 1st we get to request a new interview. Hopefully the next one will be the final hurdle :)

  2. Yes - we know about the 1 year ban. The most confusing part is the need to refile or not refile. I've requested that my senators get more detail in writing about the need to refile or not refile. I've asked them 5 times over email if I need to refile and the only response I get is "In March 2013, you may send an email requesting an appointment to kingstonivappointment@state.gov.

  3. Actually, I have in writing from the embassy that I don't have to refile. I just have to email for a new interview after March 1, 2013. I had my senators contact and they responded the same to both.

  4. Best wishes for today! You are in my thoughts and prayers :)

  5. If we file a visa waiver, we get one year. There's something about a waiver. I've already emailed the embassy with tons of questions.

  6. I don't think we "file" again, but I'm researching that. I think that he does the medical and re-interviews in a year. I think it's called a visa waiver or something like that.

  7. He was actually given the slip to go get the visa and then called back in by security and denied. So sad.

  8. Well, he was denied for one year because he admitted to having used in the past in his medical but his urine tested clean. Honesty has no value. We're trying to decide the next steps. It's a little complicated since we just found out that I'm expecting. We'll probably wait it out a year - I'll go down all summer (I'm a teacher) and after baby is born in december for my m...

  9. I still haven't heard from him. It's an hour behind there, so I'm assuming that there's nothing to say just yet. There was most likely a delay at the embassy this morning. We shall see. I'll keep you posted.

  10. Thanks! We're really nervous. We still haven't gotten the non-impediment despite the fact that it was paid for almost a month ago with express service. Grrrr... he's divorced and has the decree, so we're hoping that might count. I spoke to someone at the RG today who told us "2 more days, about." UGGGHHHHH.
