Hi Ale, no before they give you a date for the interview you need to present all the paperwork to the consulate. Once they receive it, they schedule the appointment with you. This takes around 1 month and 2 weeks.

It took 4 months and 2 weeks in case you would like to know around how long does it take. From beginning of Oct until middle of Feb. 2012.
