  1. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Omg, I'm so happy and proud to say that my fiance was approved literally 10 minutes ago for his K1 Visa. After two years fighting for our relationship, getting denied our k1 visa in december 2011, and trying to get through with this immigration process we are finally approved!!! His original interview date was on Feb 21st, but we winded up having to reschedule and we were lucky enough to get a new interview day for 1week later which was today.. I will give more info when we speak later, but he briefly told me that he was only asked four questions. They didn't even look at any of our paperworks. How we met, where we went when we met,how often I visited, and how often we speak to each other? He said the IO even interupted him while telling him detail for detail how often we speak to each other. The IO interupted by syaing alright alright your approved! LOL. I know the journey isn't over, but at least my fiance will be here by the time our daughter is born in March (hopefully)!! Thanks VJ members who were supportive.

  2. EXACTLY! That's why I wanted to make sure and get a 2nd response from someone. I need to get him insurance, I guess I will put him under my insurance at work. Thank you.

The child is not eligible. http://www.floridakidcare.org/eligibility-noncitizen.html It states

Bolding added. The child is not a USC, and has not been an LPR for 5 years. Also, the "5 years" thing indicates to me that you would be asked to pay the government back as his sponsor if you use this benefit... even though it says at the bottom that they can't. You signed an I-864 so I would be wary.

  3. They received my RFE and now they are reviewing it so the website says. It was a simple question I forgot to answer as part of the questionaire. It's not even photographs or anything for that matter. I just do not understand.

aaaawwww i agree that it long waiting..i got an rfe only took them few days to approved it...but it just an simple RFE...i'm wondering what kind of RFE did you received? is it something complicated to review hhhhhmmmm :blink::wacko:

i hope they got your documents...

Yes a K1 out of VSC

Wow that is very long. Is it for a K-1 visa?

  4. Hi All,

I received an RFE on 6/11/12 and I sent all the proper documentation they were asking for. Now it has been well over 3 months and they have not gotten back to me. I put in a request to rush it because the letter I had received said that if I did not hear a response within 60 days to call them. Needless to say, they denied my rush request. I do not understand what would be taking so long and if the waiting time of 3 months is normal.

    Thank you!

    Janette

  5. Quick question for any of you.

I received an RFE because I forgot to ask a question on my application. I went ahead and sent the question back filled out and I signed the paper. I received a notice that they had received my form filled out. Do you guys think that I will receive another RFE or do you think that after they review this form I will get my NOA 2?

    Thanks!

  6. Hi all,

I filed my I129F - Petition for fiance and I had to call the USCIS because my timeline was well over my 5 months. I called on 5/25/12 and got the written speech. They finally got back to me today in writing through email. I do not really understand what is going on because IGOR's list is well beyond January and my case has not been touched since my NOA 1. Could it be that my application / package got lost?

If anyone can shed some light as to what is happening, that would be great? The email stated that they would get back to me with a response within 60 days. Does this really mean I have to wait 2 more months? I thought this was one of the quickest ways to bring my fiance here? Can you tell I am missing him like crazy!

Thank you all for your time.

  7. Hi Guys,

I know many of you are in the same boat as I am. I submitted my paperwork and it was received on December 20, 2011. On December 28, 2011 I guess it was sent off to Vermont to the center for processing. I have been following up frequently but not enough to drive myself crazy. Today I called the 1-800-375-5283 number and they told me that Vermont was behind, to be exact they said they were processing June 2011. What is up with that? The last time I called they told me I had to wait 5 months and now they told me I have to wait another 6 months? I am almost crying out of frustration. Can someone PLEASE shed some light on this.

    Thank you,

    Janette

  8. See the guides here on V J at the top of the page.

For the child you will need to petition for a visa as well. Each person requires their own visa. Additionaly the embassy will probably require a letter signed by the mother allowing the child to immigrate. Check with the embassy to find out exactly what is required.

The Cuban Embassy is not listed. Any other suggestions?

  9. Hi,

I will be starting the process for my fiance to come here from Cuba. Can anyone tell me the initial paperwork I will need to submit to USCIS? My birth certificate, his birth certificate, his son's birth certificate, his divorce decree, plane tickets, emails, telephone bills, etc. Also, should I submit orginals or just copies? One other thing, will my fiance be able to bring his 8 year old child with him at the same time? Do I need to submit more money for the K2. I'm just starting the paperwork so any information is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  10. Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this forum and I would greatly appreciate it if someone could clarify a question for me. My fiance and I met a year ago - well December 2011 will be 1 year and he proposed a week ago. In the year that we have been dating I have seen him 3 times. The first time I went to visit him, we spent 14 days together, the second time I went to visit him we were together 5 days and the 3rd time we spent 4 days together. I want him to come to the states. Must I wait another year before bringing him here before I apply for the I129F visa? It says I must see him within the 2 years of filing for the visa. I'm confused, please shed some light.
