Good news from the California Service Center... Just received notification in the mail that my husband's green card has been aproved!
We filed with the Vermont Service Center on December 23, 2011, it was transferred to California Service Center on January 13, 2012 and it FINALLY got approved on September 27, 2012!!!
Sooo happy!!!!

Our attorney contacted the California Service Center on 08/10/12 and today we received a letter in the mail stating the following:
" This notice acknowledges receipt of your status inquiry concerning your pending I-485 application. We recognize your interest in a final adjudication on your pending application and are aware of the difficulties caused by any delay in processing. The California Service Center is committed to processing this workload, and will be making every effort to adjudicate your case in an expeditious fashion as soon as available under our resource constraints."
Really??? - Well at least they are "committed" to processing our case! Hahaha!!

I just got off the phone with them. Not much of a conversation with a Tier 2 officer. Said goodbye before I can ask her another question. She must be tired of answering the same questions.

Wasn't even able to get her badge number (to reference to her) nor a service request number. She just told me that my case in still in review. She has also alerted CSC and within 10-12 days hear from them via mail.
I was hoping to have these questions answered: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/293330-calling-uscis/
She seems to be in a hurry. Well, us too!
I've decided to contact our congressman if we don't hear anything by the end of next week....tired of waiting!

We are on the same boat too...filed in December 2011, transferred to CSC in January 2012. I called the 1-800 number last week to find out what was going on with my husband's application and why is taking forever to get approved and the response that I got was: "the application is still being processed in California".
So much for "faster processing" !!!!

**Called USCIS yesterday (07/12/12) and was told that I-485 is still under review at CSC!!**
