  1. Hey all,

I apologize if this has already been touched on. My wife and I put in the application for removal of conditions. Looks like it was accepted as they withdrew funds for the application and bio metrics (yay). They sent us the NOA for the bio-metrics which is great, however they scheduled it during a time my wife is overseas. My wife went home for the holidays and will be gone for a month. My question is, how do we reschedule her bio-metrics for after she returns, which is the end of January?

When I send the form back with the reschedule request can I (and if so how can I) let them know after which date she will be back?

    I appreciate the input!

  2. Hello all,

My wife and I have been going through the K-1 Process, she is here now in the U.S on that VISA. we Applied for Adjustment of status, advance Parole and work Authorization(We HAVE the Work authorization AND Travel document on the same card). Our interview is scheduled for February (VERY EXCITED :)))!) However, next week she will be traveling back to her home country for a period of 3 weeks. I am curious, will they allow her to come back into the U.S if she provides the Passport with K-1 VISA (do they have an expiration? she has been here since August) And the Advance Parole card? or will there be issues? Should she have some other document with her as well?

I am asking primarily because I woke up in a cold sweat last night freaking out that they would not let her back into the country. unsure.png I just want to make sure she can go home to visit her family for the holidays and still be able to come back for our interview/being together. Should I provide her with a photo copy of the Interview date? (we just got that letter four days ago)

Thanks for your help! hopefully we dont need anything else!

  3. Hey Everyone,

So after going through the K-1 VISA Process, and waiting (like most of you) we were finally reunited on August 4th, and on August 31st were married at our local courthouse. Under instruction i acquired 10 copies of my certified marriage certificate.

Now we need to apply for Adjustment of Status, Advanced Parole and work authorization for my wife. However upon looking at the USCIS website, I am absolutely confounded. What form(s) do I fill out, the I-130 or the i-485? from what I read both are for spouses.

Please help me, what is our next step?

  4. Hey everyone. So Friday I got an Email from the US Embassy in Moscow saying they are ready for us to pay the visa fee and schedule an interview date! YAY. I am now writing my continuing support letter, and I was wondering if you all could let me know if it is any good smile.png

  5. Hey!

Honestly, I would recommend doing a connecting flight, easier and better. Try having the connecting flight in Europe, Such as Germany or England. I just got my NOA2 and my Fiance is also from Saint Petersburg. I started looking at Flights for August since I plan on flying there and flying back with her (really expensive!!!) Right now United has deals for stop over in Germany for about 5 hours and then connecting to Polkovo 2 for around 1500 Bucks, not cheap no. But Compared to some who want 2-3K *cough* British Airways *cough* It isnt too bad.

I also looked at flights for her, trying to get a flight back from Russia to DC, A one way trip is 3K while a round trip is only 1300...Why the difference I dont know. However the round trip ticket, has a lay over in Munich for 5 hours and then straight to Dulles International. My Recommendation do a lay over and get her directly to your Airport hub. Personally I feel, though in reality I have none, that having her Arrive in your hub Airport grants you more power. You know that which ever city she arrives in, In the U.S will be her point of entry, so I feel more secure having her point of entry be the place we will actually Live.

Just my two cents, I wish you the best of luck with everything, I know the feeling all to well, most if not all of the people on this wonderful website do. Get your paperwork done ahead of time, go to the Embassy in Moscow's website and fill out the 3 documents on their site, get it done now and you will not have to scramble once you get your NOA2, I would also start working on your I-134A support documents, it is more than just that 2 page document.

  6. Hey All,

So We got out NOA2, And are wondering....what now?

We have already been on the Embassy in Moscow's Website, filled out and printed off 3 copies of all the paper work, is it me are all 3 of those forms pretty much asking the same question? I and my father have filled out the I-134 A each. In fact the packet (Support packet) I am putting together is 27 Pages long. My I-134A, statement from work, statement from the bank etc, Birth Certificate W2 and 1040, plus the exact same for my father.

So what do we do now? is there something else we need to fill out? is there somewhere we need to call?

Is there anything I can do to better prep my Fiance for her interview?

Thanks in advance for your help!

  7. I feel so blessed that this website exists! because of all of you no RFEs at all :) One question about the NOA2 however. It says pretty much the same thing as what the USCIS said online about my petition...That it is approved. That is wonderful, but It also keeps saying Consulate instead of Embassy....I was under the impression she(My Fiance) would have her interview at the Embassy in Moscow not the consulate in Saint petersburg. Is it just poor word choice or does that mean she will have her interview at the consulate?

  8. Hey All,

So we received from the USCIS our NOA2, and I have been working on the support document. It has 25 pages long, including my I-134, and a Cosigned I-134 from my dad is who cosigning. I have also attached ( I didnt a cover letter for it, looks just like the example cover letter for the 129F.

But it has both fo our I-134's, It has Statements from the bank stamped and signed by the Bank officer. (for both my father and I) letters from our employerers, and both of our birth certificate. My question is, should I also attach both of our W2s and Pay stubs?

    thanks!

  9. We are Approved!! USCIS just sent me a text to check our status, went online and checked and was happy to see the message that " we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)"

And it is thanks to all of you here at VISA journey, I know we still have some road to travel and we have been preparing for it for a while. But I just wanted to say Thank you all for your help and patients! Couldnt have done it without visajourney!

  10. Hey All, so Its been 6 months since I sent off my petition and So i am hoping that it will be close to the time that we will get a response. Already my Fiance took an 8 hour train down to Moscow to get her medical exam.

I am filling out my I-134, but I already know I dont make enough money for the support, but my dad said he will co sign. and he makes more than enough for it. How do we go about co-signing, do we both fill out a form, does he only fill out a form? thanks for taking the time to help!

  11. Hello all,

So I received my NOA1 a while back, I just checked the USCIS website and it predicts that we will enter the next phase around April time. So I just want to know what I should expect? we applied for a K-1 Visa, my fiance lives in Saint Petersburg, and I have been informed she will have to go to the Embassy in Moscow. What should I do now? I want to be absolutely prepared, so I do not get caught off guard. What forms to fill out for the next stage where to find them? If my fiance gets her interview what should we expect? I was in Saint Petersburg this Christmas and new-year visiting her and her family, and I left her an exact duplicate of the I-129F packet that I had sent to the USCIS, and I have a third copy here in the U.S Just in case, that I can either over night to her or somewhere else if the USCIS needs it.

I had to come on and ask because I keep getting panicky about everything. Any help and advice would be so helpful :)
