  3. My husband's case was put into AP.

They didn't exactly say why but I'm pretty sure it's because he's middle eastern.

That could be the case for you too.

    What did your congressman say?

:( omg I really hope thats not the case

my senator sent me the email the csc sent him and it said that it is with an officer and I should hear from them within 45 days.. They never told me anything about AP and on the uscis website it still says initial review with last touch on 8/25/2011

what could be the problem :(

  4. For the service request, are they looking at a specific date it has to be after or are they going after the 5 months mark? This was updated recently and I think there is some confusion so fi you could relate what your experience was, it would be very beneficial in clearing it up.

Well on their website it says 5 months so Im assuming its after the 5 month mark but call and see every agent always speaks differently.. Someone else said they told them their working on sept so either way I could put in a service request anyway because Im august.. I hope service requests really help though..

  5. 208 days and counting...and the september approvals are intensifying. Is that normal? Or I'm just depressed to feel like our file is lost somewhere.

Hanging in there, but it's getting harder and my heart breaks everyday to see how my wife is struggling with all this while i'm trying to play it cool so that she can find some stength in me to bear all this madness.

Exactlyy what im feeling! :( Its like they forgot the rest of the august files its so depressing...

  6. I usually like to respect my elders, but I will be quite honest. I have an extremely passive aggressive mother-in-law who has done almost everything in her power to nearly sabotage my relationship, including posing in my wedding dress after I took it off and almost mocking me. She is extremely childish. She has done everything from allowing her daughter to cut me from group pics with my husband. Oh, and I also have a crazy possessive sister-in-law. Whenever I am around, they have to wear their shortest mini skirts and take a million pictures of themselves and they both even went to extreme lengths to fix their teeth because they were jealous of mine. It really hurts my feelings. The second time I was in Lebanon, his mother couldn't even come downstairs to say hi to me. She waved from the window and then we had to go visit her. She was separated from my father-in-law at the time and living separately. It is so strange because I have visited Lebanon 3 times and she is still terrible. She has never directly said anything bad, but her behavior is completely humiliating to me. If my husband tries to tell her, she tells him to F off. I thought getting back with her husband would stop her from being possessive towards her son and hateful to me, but it has not. The funny thing is when I first arrived in Lebanon, I thought I would be great friends with her because she seemed easy going and on the other hand, my husband's father spoke Arabic in a very deep voice and seemed like he would have a stronger personality. Well, never judge anybody because it turned out to be the complete opposite. He is the cool, open minded one who has traveled in Europe, while she is nuts. I'm sorry if I sound mean, but this woman has crossed a line with me. Her taking pics in my wedding dress and posting them on FB was the final straw. I am happy for all people on here who have great relationships with their MILs. Maybe it is Lebanese women. OMG! I thought the mothers in Italy were nuts over their sons, but the Lebanese MIL takes the cake.

I am 100 % Lebanese and I have to agree with you on this one... arabs in general are known to have those kinds of mother in laws because I have heard many different crazy stories.. I wouldnt know how it feels though because my mother in law died a long time ago so I never got to meet her. The good thing with you is that your husband doesnt seem like he follows his moms orders alot so as long as you got your husband behind your back your good because many times the mother in law gets in the way of the relationship of their sons by brainwashing them... But yeah thats crazy how she took a pic wearing your wedding dress its like what was the point of that.. Anyways good luck on that maybe try and convince your husband to move somewhere else away from his family lol

  7. THANKS WHAT EVIDENCE CAN I SEND THEM IF I SEND THEM A COPY OF THE divorce certificate... YOU RIGHT THEY ARE NO HELP THEY ALL SOUND LOST.

Well they will probably tell you exactly what they need so If its a divorce certificate or just some kind of proof lol Dont worry I think youll be fine many people do mistakes while filling out the forms and they just end up receiving a RFE :) Its not like their going to deny you for messing up on one question ;)

  8. :help: I file a petition in 2004 i never finish it do to the fact that we broke up.

Now i got married with my new wife and file a petition for her not to long ago. im waiting on noa2...

I forgot to tell my lawyer that i file that petition in 2004 but never finish it. And where it said "HAVE I YOU EVER FILED A PETITION FOR THIS OR ANY OTHER ALIEN?"

he put NO. He never ask he that. . Im not sure what can i do at this point? we did send a divorce certificate.

Their probably going to send you a request for evidence so It wont be that big of a problem.. But you can also call the USCIS and ask them see what they tell you even though in my opinion they are of no help and seem like they dont know anything

  9. I have not gotten my approval yet and I applied on AUG 22 for my husband, so I contacted my senator last wk on thursday and I just received his letter today which was fast

He said that he contacted the USCIS and asked them to provide a responce for my concerns.

Im happy that at least he replyed but I wonder If its actually going to help or if they are just going to tell him what they always tell me that their working on AUG 2 so they cant do anything...

Has anyone got any help from their senator and got their approval after that? Or at least a reply saying something other then to keep waiting?

  10. Hello folks,

I didn't imagine we will have to do this but I'm just tired of waiting in vain. We decided to involve a congressman, maybe it will yield something or at least we would feel like we are helping our case.

The fact is we don't know the way to involve your congressman. If some of you have done it please some info would be appreciated.

Do you do it by email, post mail, telephone?

    Thanks

Im trying to involve my senator because like you Im hating this waiting with no answer rule and im also an august filer... but anyway I wrote a letter with a filled out privacy form last wk and tomorow Im going to call their office so ill see if that would be of any help towards my case as well... Just search your congressman and find the immigration privacy form and get the address and just send the form with the letter to them.. then follow up with a call that should help.. goodluck

I love seeing all of this action, but at the same time I get more nervous when they keep approving so muchh and none of them is me... especially since now they also started on september as well :(
