Yeah waiting seems to be forever wow almost a year? After a cetaibn amount of time you can ask for service request it should not be that long. Once it passes the date posted on uscis time line then they have to agree to service request.
Back ground check dont take almos.t year. You might want to get lawyer. or least talk to one and see what they say. I would call them every day untill they moved it
