Hmmm ... I am in the same situation. I applied for a job and offered them to volunteer until I have my EAD.
The company is not "non-profit". So, that is not allowed?
Does anybody have an official link for that law?
Well, I have my greencard interview on Sept. 27 th and the 90 days to get the EAD will be over on Sept. 20th (90 days from the date of the NOA, right?)
If AOS is approved at the interview, can you work right away with the passport stamp or do you have to wait until the Green Card arrives in the mail?
Thanks

Thanks a lot!!!! But it is confusing, isn't it? Even the AOS instructions say that you need only biometrics if you are between 14 and 79 years old.
My Bio appointment letter was in the mail today.

Hi all,
My six years old son and I applied for AOS after we entered the US on a K1 / K2 status and got married.
Today we got a letter from the USCIS notifying us of the scheduled biometrics appointment.
BUT the letter was addressed to my son, who is only six.
Maybe they confused our names and the appointment was suppossed to be for me?!
We only paid the $70 once!
I thought kids under 14 don't need a biometrics appointment, do they?
Was anybody in the same situation?
Thanks a lot!

Thank you!!!!
Yes, we got married within 90 days.
It just took a while to get the marriage certificate, so that we couldn't apply for AOS and AP within these 90 days.
I know that you definitely get into trouble with Advanced Parole if you stay longer than 180 days illegal in the US. But I was not sure what happens with less than 180days.

Hi!
I am in Boston on a K1 and I finally married my fiance on June 3rd!
My I-94 did expire on June 8th.
Now we finally got the marriage certificate and today we are applying for AOS => 5 days after the expiration date of the I-94.
Could these 5 days "illegal" stay in the US cause problems when applying for or using Advanced Parole?
We are planning a second wedding in Germany for summer 2007 ...
Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU!!!!! So I just apply for AOS a few days later.
WE have to submit a certified marriage certificate, right? Just a copy of the original is not enough?
What is the fastest way to get a copy of the marriage certificate certified? Besides get it from the city clerk wich takes about two weeks here.
@Yodrak
We are getting married on Parkers River Beach in Yarmouth Port
Do you know the area?
Dani,I also would wait the extra days for the marriage certificate so as to submit a complete I-485 package.
Which beach have you selected?

Hi everyone,
After entering the US on a K1 we're finally getting married on June 3rd , which is day 85. The I-94 is valid until June 8th.
We probably can't get the marriage certificate until June 8th.
So we have to possibilities:
1. Apply for AOS within the 90days and send the marriage certificate later as soon as we have it.
2. Send the AOS papers including marriage certificate a few days after the 90 days period has expired.
What do you guys think is better?
We wanted to have a summer beach Cape Cod wedding. This is the reason why we are getting married so late
Thanks

Hi,
Help!!!!
Me and my son entered the US (Boston, MA) on a K1 / K2 Visa two months ago. My fiance and I are going to get married on June 3rd. After the marriage me and my son would like to take the last name of my husband-to-be.
Has anybody an idea how to change the name of the child (he has my last name at the moment, and my fiance is not his father) after the marriage?
When we fill the AOS papers are we already allowed to use his new last name?
Thanks!!!

Wow, at least we have the right to feel good.
Isn't that ridiculous?! I should emigrate from that country...
Thanks for your answers! So, I am just hoping for the stamp in four weeks.
