  1. Ok Widsy97 you have both good and bad news. I will tell you cause I just had this exact experiance. Waitied 9 months nothing happend and received my RFE for the vaccination supplement. I bit the bullet paid $200 redid the entire medical exam. Sent it to the NBC.

Now the good news. They received my medical papers and the green card was approved in 4 DAYS.

    Good luck.

IF i were you I would not skimp and just redo the whole thing guarentess no more problems.

Remember the USCIS is here to take all your money and ring you dry! Indeed you are the immigrant trying to do things the COREECT WAY!

  2. Its probably because it has been over a year for you. Based on your timeline you were approved feb 2012. This is probably why you got RFEd

Well arrording to the USCIS policy you have to sumbit your AOS application within one year of the medical exam for it to be valid. Since the USCIS waitied 9 months to look at the application of course it is going to be over one year old.

  3. i recently got an RFE, we are march filer. i haven't submit anything yet cz we are planning to bring everything in person thru infopass. for right now, i'm making myself busy collecting more evidence to satisfied my RFE.

    goodluck

How are you so sure your case is being processed at the local field office? Your case may be processed at the NBC unless they told you you have an interview?

  4. The issue with the civil surgeon and just filing out the first and last page is as fallows. They check a few boxes on this 1st page that says the medcial exam was cleared and everything was good. Some do not like to do this because they never did the exam they only completed the last page (vaccination sheet). Your only hope would be to contact the original doctor who did the exam which for me was next to immposible and have him forward the records if he still has them. Although there are civil surgeons out there that will do just the 1st and last page if you call around.

  5. Ok so you have to find a civil surgeon in your area and schedual an appointment. If you can convince one of them to just fill out the 1st and last page of the I-693 they you will be good submitt that to immigration with your package.

If noone will fill out the 1st and last page you have to redo the whole exam and then submitt the papers with your package.

I would hghly recommend to subbmit this 1st and last page of the I-693 or the whole new exam with your AOS package otherwise you will be waiting for you RFE.

  6. Yes everything was done by the panel physician abroad and the sealed envelope was submitted to immigration. We mailed the Vaccination record with our AOS package.

Speaking with them "NBC" is useless as usual, they cannot tell me if they have the form, they lost the form, the form is filled out incorrect or not. They told me to submit exactly what I submitted the first time. She also told me this " if it was me I would redo the whole exam to be sure you will not receive another RFE".

Spoke with many civil surgeons in my area they are all happy to redo the whole exam and I also found some that will just do the vaccination supplement.

We decided to take teh expensive path and redo the whole exam. Went to an appointment today and redid the medical. Will pick up the new sealed package Monday and ship it out Monday afternoon. They should have the package back in their hands Tuesday.

Due to our situation we need this green card as quick as possible and redid the exam to be assure no more issues.

This process is a big racket and the people who do the system correctly are the ones who pay "everyone in this process".

  7. Did you include in your package: Noticed that you included a copy of the Form DS-3025, Vaccination Documentation which is the same that I did. Maybe it had errors, maybe they lost it?

Yes I did and I can tell you if you did your exam in Bogota where we did it, it probably has the same issues. I bet it has something to do with the bottom of the page where the Dr. checked the box incomplete.I think we are going to redo the whole exam and send everything. Dont want another RFE to come, waited long enough.

  8. "Request for Initial Evidence

If you are a K-1 fiance or K-2 Dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiance visa, submit a vaccination supplement.

for more specific information, see form I-485 instructions, page 4, "8-Fiances"

I like how this application was at the NBC for 9 months and now they are requesting for initial evidence. It says it must be receieved within 87 days of this notice.

  9. Ok the offical RFE today read as fallows. "If you are a k-1 fiance who had a medical exam within the last year as required for the visa, submit a vaccination supplement"

    My questions on this

    1. Since they have had this application for over 9 months now, technically our medical exam is now over one year old. Do we need to redo the whole exam?

    2. We supplied the DS-3025 vaccination worksheet to them, i suppose this is not sufficiant?

    3. Do we have to just go to a doctor and have them fill out page 1 and 5 of the I-693 and mail that portion to them?

What would you guys do in this situation?

    THanks

  10. You don't know what the RFE is yet, so don't get too excited. It could be a simple thing that is easily fixable and sent back the same day.

The most common error is on the I-864. Did you include complete tax forms? Proof of co-sponsors status in the US (passport etc) if using a co-sponsor? Did you include proof of current employment such as an employment letter?

Don't waste too much time asking these questions though. You'll get the letter very soon and then you will know for sure.

I am the only sponser on the I-864, In the insturctions it states you do not need to send your US passport for proof of citizenship if you already completed this in the initial i-129 petition. I know for sure I did not send my passport for proof of citizenship for the I-864 in the AOS packet. Other than that I cannot think of any errors with that form. I am well above the poverty line, I sent 3 years worth of tax returns. I am just not sure.

  11. Is there any forum within visa journey that shows example and most frequent RFE for the I-485 forms?

I believe that our package was very complete and everything was fallowed on the instructions. Is it time to get a lawyer involved, should I schedule an interview with one in a week or two when I get the RFE letter? I haven’t had one yet in the whole immigration process but don’t want to make a mistake on the last part of getting the GC approval, and feel I may need a lawyer to help with the RFE?
