    Visa has been issued on the 23rd now to just have to wait for it to hit 2go main office.

    Process is finally over, now just have to wait for the Visa to be released from the embassy... They said it usually takes a week after the receive the corrected NBI but we will see...

      it takes weeks or month. :-) just be patient on waiting.. congrats

      Thanks for the info. It is starting to look like that. Hopefully its more like 2 weeks it's already been one, but you're right have to be a bit patient. Thanks!

    I'm not sure about the K1 visa's. But if you have a birth certificate that shows a misspelled name and a court order showing you changed it. You will need an NBI that has your name being used and aka field showing the incorrect name.

    VISA was approved but They needed a new NBI that reflects her miss spelled name on her birth certificate as an aka on her NBI. Which is a little set back but we submitted everything back the same day so now she will just have to wait for the visa to be released to her. But sad to say she will not be able to fly back with me as anticipated but everything is done and over with. Hopefully.

    Medical checked cleared and PDOS completed.. Preparing for the interview...

    After I sent the NVC the DS-230 and support documents. I called a week later and they told me the case was closed and they will be emailing something. A couple days later I got an email with an Interview Date so my Wife went to St. Lukes to take care of the medical and she already went to the seminar that they have to attend so that they can get their visa stamped after approval.

    Thanks, from what I saw on here they basically ask her questions from the paper work that has been submitted and of course show proof of marriage, pictures and such. What does make me a bit nervous is the medical. IF they find any thing on the x ray's scaring of the lungs or any signs of TB it can delay the visa weeks and sometimes months. Hopefully, nothing shows up during the medical exam.

    This site has helped out a lot during the process for my wife petition. Just wanted to share the progress and time line for this year for our IR-1 Visa.
