  1. Not sure. That is what the website says, "under 15". My understanding is since every one older is getting a chest x-ray (which comes after a positive skin test under normal medical procedures), it would cancel out a need for a skin test. The doctors would be working backwards. If anything came up in the x-ray, they would move on to sputum and culture tests.

That is true. Remember: If PPD skin test is positive, next procedure is chest x-ray to see abnormality and check for active TB. Of course, they will also collect your sputum for further test. Once positive in PPD skin test, it will be positive for the rest of your life. But it doesn't mean right away you have an active TB, it just mean you have the bacteria in your system, that's why they need further tests.

  2. I have no clue and when I called today they told me I have to wait 10-20days for it to be reviewed by a supervisor. On Wednesday one of the operators showed my information to the supervisor. So I'm in the supervisor pile. I think.....NVC driving me crazy every time I call I get a different answer where my invoice is, plus I think some operators don't even look they just tell you standard information, but the operator who did put in the supervisor request said that if I didn't receive it by Wednesday coming I should definitely call back.

You should call though and see what they say.. I will be calling again later before they close for the weekend.

Sorry to hear that. I know for sure you got your case number and AOS fee ahead of my case. I think because of the reduced IV fee, everything got messed up.

Wow, I'm glad you encountered no problems for sending the IV package early!

Yeah, i was nervous when i sent the IV packet cause the IV payment is still in process. But when it showed "PAID", it was such a relief....hehehe

  3. Grats! Just to confirm with the email invoices everyone's getting, it was just $230 you paid?

    yes, it was $230

    Glad you caught that error!

Well, even though your lawyer did everything, did you still get emails from NVC? You can always go by the date you got that initial information package with the date your case number was assigned. Then, for EP, NVC frequently emails you now when they receive your packages and will review them shortly (not an auto-response, an actual email). Just use those dates for the dates you sent out the packages. You can also try asking your lawyer and see if they kept any kind of documentation for specific dates.

Grats on paying the fee! And yes, those are the next steps. Except, you can print off the bar-coded cover sheet as soon as you pay the bill. You don't have to wait for it to appear as PAID anymore.

And pay stubs are optional, so the amount you send is up to you. If it has year-to-date totals, then one is perfect. I suggest highlighting the year-to-date total as well as the total for that pay stub.

  4. No, incorrect. The fees are not changing for the USCIS forms. Just the visa application fees. So, in your case, the IV fee. Instead of being $404 as it is currently, it will be $305. All IV invoices are on hold until this Friday when the fees change. Then they'll be released with the new fee decrease.

If this is true, I will have to wait until Friday to have my IV fee invoiced. Yesterday, NVC emailed my wife and said they received the DS-3032. But until now, i haven't receive the IV fee invoice. Thanks, Saylin.

  5. Earlier, i checked the AOS fee online and states "not invoiced", when i cheked it again this afternoon, the information about the petitioner and the line that states "not invoiced" under AOS fee section are missing. On IV fee section, the beneficiary's info and line that states "not invoiced" are still visible. Has anyone experienced this? I just need to pay the AOS fee.I attacehed a photo of it, deleting the case number and the beneficiary's info. Thanks.
