  1. Same here , but I don't think we need to worry. There was a holiday in that week with Martin Luther King day so take that into consideration and like the other person mentioned allow at least 15 days for the mail and possibly bad weather might make a difference so we are still good as far as time. I was going to give them at least till Wednesday and then talk to a representative .Remain positive good.gif

we received our NOA2 Jan 9th and still the NVC hasn't received the petition should we be worried?

  2. We had the same thing happen with the numbers going back up on our timeline from 100 to 101 then 102 in just a few hours . We got our NOA2 in 119 day from the Vermont office so dont worry ,here is how it came down ,I got up one morning looked at the timeline seen we went to 102 from 101 on the list so I walked away from the lappy went to the mailbox and there it was, the letter saying we was approved on the 5th of January and our file date on the NOA1 was Sept 8 2011 . So take a deep breath and Im sure it will come to you. I have been fortunate enough to have things that keeps me busy and keeps my mind occupied enough so Im not always looking at the timeline and now we will be so busy collecting info for the rest of our Journey .

    Yours Truly Gene

I am just passing the time to everyday waiting for my petition to get approved! Well,I am 115 day and still waiting to hear back something. I got my NOA1 on 9/27/11. My timeline suggests my case should be approved between 1/21 to 3/2/12. As we all know this based on history and people taking the time to update their timeline on the VJ sites. So far, about 3 people with similar dates to mine within 4 days got approved. My question is what is the longest time somebody waited to get there NOA2? Did the anybody recieve and RFE during the waiting for approval? I am sad now because my timeline for VSC dropped down 3 spots for 181 to 184! :( Oh well!

VJ members don't forget to update changes in your visa timeline.

    Thanks!

  3. This is very good advise.....I have dealt with this being married before to an American woman .You have to protect yourself now .

Wow. I'm REALLY sorry that this has happened to you, but before taking time to feel sadness, you NEED to PROTECT yourelf.

    1) If she has an ATM card to your account - shut it down.

    2) If she has passwords to any of your bank acounts, email accounts, ANY acount - change them immediately.

    3) Send a letter ASAP to USCIS and notify them of the course of events. This will protect you against her saying you were abusive. She can not apply for VAWA but she can allege abuse and you'd have a diffiult time to ever petition someone else if you decided to.

    4) Change the locks on your doorss. She has abandoned the premises but if she decided to return tonight and just enter your place you'd be powerless to do anything about it.

    5) Do NOT be alone with this woman if she contacts you. You could be set up for a potential abuse allegation.

I am so sorry that this has happened, but it could have been worse. You could have married this woman and thing could have become very difficult for you. Time heals - believe me when I say this but for now concentrate on protecting yourself.

    Goiod luck.

  4. Wow sorry to hear about your problem.......I would suggest not to include this person or persons in the conversation and if they try and become part of it ignore them.......your way better than them if they have nothing but negative input due to their ignorance about any of it. I deal with one particular person at work who is just that "IGNORANT" and we have to be the better person and rise above it and ignore them and they soon get the point when they open thier mouth and ####### comes out no one especially you is listening ......The person I deal with has said some pretty bad things and yes I could crush this person with one hand but it would do nothing because if they are clueless and ignorant that never works... they are not smart enough to know better. So in all look at what your dealing with a very ignorant close minded "usually" individual that knows no better and obviously wasn't taught any better . You really have to feel bad for them because they are of lesser quality as far as personality and knowledge .....sort of like pond scum yucky and stinky . So rise above and be the better person dont let thier ignorance bother you and effect your happiness. .

  5. Hello,

My fiance' and I had met in December of 2010 also and have a very similar story . We haven't missed much more than a few days also and we use Skype,Yahoo and International minute through Magicjack to see and talk to each other. We cant stand being away from each other for more than what it takes us to sleep . I went to see her in August of 2011 for 9 days and it was the best 9 days of my life. I met her in Manila and stayed there for 2 days then went to Boracay for 3 days and then to her moms house in Bocalad for the remainder where I was welcomed by most of the neighborhood and family . I went back home in Maryland and started filling out the forms and documents for the I129f ,We had our 1NOA on September 8, 2011. I was fortunate enough to have a friend who went through an K-3 visa and he helped me fill it out and we checked it 4 times before we sent it . We had tons of pictures, hotel and plane ticket receipts and had everything labeled explaining what it was .We are 81 days into the process and looking at maybe after the first of the year to be approved . We wish you the best of luck

  6. Hello all!

My fiancé and I met online about a year ago now. From the day we met, we have had Skype conversations every single day for hours at a time. I think in the entire year, we've only missed 10 or 11 days. We Started dating December 2010, and carried on the relationship until we met for the first time in June 2011. He lives in Arizona and I live in Ontario, Canada. We both traveled to New York to attend his cousin's wedding, where he proposed to me while we were dancing. After being in New York for 2 weeks, we came back here for an additional 2 weeks, and then he went home. Last month (October), I went and visited him for 12 days, and when I returned home, he purchased a plane ticket to come and spend Christmas with me (December 19th until January 7th 2012). We continue to have an amazing relationship going, we have never fought about anything, and we love each other more than anything in the entire world.

We sent our 1-129f application in September 16th, and they mailed it back at the beginning of October because the amount of the cheque was wrong, so we have to re-mail it with the proper cheque.

Our plans were for me to move to Arizona as soon as we were approved, but I'm really nervous we'll be denied because we've only been together for a year, and only been engaged for almost 6 months.

What do you think the chances of us being denied are because of the amount of time we've been together?

Also, would it be a good idea to send in the plane ticket receipt for him coming next month when we send in the new cheque? And would pictured from our visit last month improve any chances?

Thank you so much for your help!
